  • GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

  • Frank rules!

  • it sent shivers down my spine continuously through the whole song, i wish they hadn't cut out the part in the middle :(

  • Wow, those guys are incredible!

  • I was at NT in 79/80. Percussion program. Breeden was there then. Drummers Gregg Bissonette, Mike Baker and Kirk Covington were in school there then also. Some days I'd just go sit in and watch the lab bands rehearse. Great experience.

  • WHERE CAN YOU PURCHASE THAT ARRANGEMENT OF HARLEM NOCTURNE?!?!?

Do you know who arranged it?!? PLEASE I LOVE THAT ARR>!!!!!!!!

  • coolio. my grandpa is neil slater ^^

  • Looks like carl murr on trombone, but I didn't think he was at UNT that long.

  • I just saw Brantley at the ITF and he told me about this vid. The trombone section that semester was Tom, Mike Lucke, Paul Compton, Joel Keene and me (Joshua Brown).

  • Tom Brantley wasn't in the '98 band I don't think- was he just a guest soloist???

  • Tom Brantley came back to school and played in the band Fall '98 but wasn't on Lab '99.

  • Eric Guerrero, Dave Anderson next to him and it looks like Akira Sato is on there too.

  • Anyone happen to know who is playing lead trumpet in this video?

  • Yeah, the Darkorchestra

  • Man, I love the one o'clock band. I wish I could find more of their music. I remember seeing them back in the day with Lyle Mays when Leon Breeden was still at NTSU.

  • if you don't already have it, there is a long out of print cd called "best of the one o'clock". you can get it on amazon. it has bands from '68 to '92. i bought it used at a store, lost it, and bought it again on amazon.

  • Thanks alot bedtime4bonzo. I just ordered a copy from Amazon. Regards

  • The '68 band performs the same arrangement as this video, but with a massive trombone cadenza by Bruce Fowler at the end. I am lucky enough to work with vinyl so I have almost all of the lp releases by the band. That cd has Lyle Mays doing F.M. with '75 band. I hope you enjoy the cd. It's well worth the twenty or thirty bucks to get it.

  • I remember when Lyle Mayes was with the band. I think the bass player at that time was Marc Johnson, whose father, Howard, was an excellent jazz pianist that I had the pleasure of performing with. By the way, I bought the CD new for about 7 bucks including shipping. Lucky me.
