These complaints sound like wave pools I've been in. When they're crowded, a hard wave made of a solid block of people slams you into the floor and drags you.
it's so gay that the ground is freaking rough cause everytime the wave pushes me it grinds me against the fucking ground at the shore of the water and I get lots of burns and cuts
@garrysmodd i cant beleive you said that.i scraped my nose to bits when i dove for a wave in that wave pool way back in 1991. cant beleive they never fixed it but seems like a many people have had a similar experience. bloody hurt!
I've been dozens of times and never got hurt, not even so much as a skin rash. I've seen 8 year old kids in the pool, surfing the waves, and having a blast and not once getting hurt.
In all honesty, and not trying to be rude, but I seriously think the people who get hurt are idiots. Really. They are acting like this some treacherous killer wave machine.
These are probably the same people that fail to put on sunscreen, then whine and complain about how sun burnt they are! HORRORS!
I went in july this year (2011) and had the best of time there, YES you do get a few scraps but nothing to bad for all the fun you have, plus as a brit being in 100f temps with tons of sun was great, loved it when everyone screamed when the boom of the wave machine was heard hahahaha, best of memories
@maya22able well if you havent noticed thats exactly how the real ocean is and i dont know if uve ever been to the beach but you dont walk into the water from behind
what is the weather like in florida around the 20th february? im going next year and will it be warm enough to go to the water parks? never been before... :)
that wave pool is hell. it's often too packed to get away from people to actually body surf on the wave, and more often you forcefully run into someone. once i felt a grown mans face make very close contact with my crotch, i decided it was game over at such point. i'll stick with the ocean. that wave pool is also suspiciously warm...
@gotafacelikemurderx Suspiciously warm = shallow pool with lots and lots of sunlight. It would take probably over a thousand gallons of something suspiciously warm in lieu of what your thinking to make the temperature change so much in a body of water that size.
@Reevin i've never actually been there when it's warm out. 70s or so. to the point where i was shivering and so freezing the whole time and had to leave last time i went. it's also not that shallow, i believe it goes to about 10 ft.
HA so basically what I got is this wave pool works like a giant toilet right? Eight tanks at the back fill with water and when they are ready, flush, only you don't swirl you get wiped out.
OMG i love typhoonn lagoon...duh if u knt enjoy it from da very start of the waves dnt go ...if u knt swim dat far dnt go u edoits....but I LOVE IT....
LOL are really complaining about disney world?????? WOW you do that, but yet any kid who is sitting in a hosptial with cancer would do anything to go through that just bc they would be in disney world. i understand it does tend to get dangerous, but you would think that ppl leaving comments here would be saying, omg that was so fun! well anyway i had fun, and did not get hurt i got a tiny scrape at the end of the pool, but besides that it was fun.
bad concept on the bottom part of the pool, too sandy and too gritty, which makes it a dangerous place, people got hurt and needed first aid, not good!!!!!
This pool is soooo dangerous!! A small wave got me down on that paved ground and drag me over, I got many parts of my body burned and cut... CAUTION IS ADVISED! :(((
You do all know that the record for the highest wave is broken right? It's not Typhoon Lagoon anymore. It's Poseidon's Rage at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. 9-foot high waves man!
Last time I was there they did the big waves like for a long time and the small for just 15-30 minutes. If you can get your timeing perfect you can get from the rope all the way across the red line :P

Typhoon lagoon is one if the best places on earth. We went for the 4th time last week. We spent 7 out if 14 days there. It's amazing. All the fun of the beach with no salt or critters biting at your ankles. Please god let me win the lottery so I can live there!
Well, Glenn...of coarse they've "heard of the beach". I think everyone should learn at Typhoon Lagoon or something like it! Controlled waves, safe environment, no salt water....I could go on... You're funny. you try to make a wavepool better than TL! Pshhhh! :P
i like drown from them waves pmsl .. i went up to by the rope and thought it was gna be ok then the wave cum and it like dragged me underneath and i smacked into the floor :( pmsl ... fun tho :D and surfers are fukin awsome lol they get it like 10 times worse and plus they hit sharp coral not a smooth concrete floor lol :D !!!!
went there last year huge wave

That rough paved part sucks. Not even in knee deep water and one of them waves took out my grandma while she was trying to get out of the pool.
