um..excuse me but you are both wrong...you can manually crack your ipod and put neither on then go in thru ftp and put anytihng you want...no need for installer cydia or icy just unlock your ipod and then do the "jailbreaking"/"hacking" yourself

redsn0w now allows you to download both they added a new checkbox next to the unlock and install cydia choices called install icy. i did it and it works just fine :)

Haha, no, but with cydia you get all the info on an app before you download it. With Icy, you have to download the app and run it to get any info on it... Who cared if it loads faster if you've gotta waste all that time just to see if it's something you'd like.

Cydia is still better for now. We'll see what happens with Icy.

No, it's not full of apps. They both load repositories and you download the apps from there. The difference seems to be that for every screen you go to in Cydia you have to update those sources. Icy only loads them when you tell it to. All the same apps available. I've been comparing them for weeks. I'm very happy with Icy except for updating apps, there Cydia seems better.

This guy in the video probably has all the sources downloaded, hence why it's so slow for him to load Cydia. Icy is cool (no pun intended) but it doesn't give information on the app like it does in Cydia, to find out about the app in Icy you have to actually go into it. With a few updates Icy will surely become the new Cydia.
