I think Edgar wrote this about her wife(Virginia) coz.. "I was a child and SHE was a child" that line... saying that Edgar is 20s and Virginia was 15 or 16 not sure...

I think that line is more of a nod to any young lovers. Most great love stories are about people who are in their teens and twenties. He says later on "Of many far wiser than we..." and that kinda makes me think that hes just saying they're both young, not actually children.
But his wife was freakishly young. Lol

i loved the story.. even the interpretation.. even though it gave me creeps! it really did.. it was like watching a horror movie.. but its okei.. i love this poem alot..

my class is just saw the documentary of edgar allen poe and read this poem..in our textbook...and edgar allen poe is my english teacher's fav author..and mines too...:) i think this one is my fav...annabelle lee..is just soo elegant and sorrow at the same time...YEP!!!
