The Rapture and the Second Coming is the same event. Christians must go through the tribulation and be persecuted by the Anti Christ for not receiving his mark (666). Christians should expect "great persecution." Jesus returns just before all life is lost. He comes in the clouds and gathers first the dead in Christ, then gathers up those still alive. That is The Second Coming. There's not a third coming.

The gathering up (rapture) is something that is necessessary at the time of the resurrection so the surviving Christians won't be left to face what the rest of the world will face. There are not two events. Why would Rev. 16:15 be placed in between the 6th and 7th vials of God's wrath?

The tribulation is not a restoring period. Restoration starts AFTER the tribulation. Besides, Jesus said in Matthew 24, "Immediately AFTER the tribulation, the angels will gather the elect of God from the 4 winds and from one end of heaven to the other. That's the rapture.

@infadel13 People have been saying stuff like this forever. The new H1N1 is not bad compared to so many other sicknesses in the last 100 years. We will see what will happen because the world is changing at a rapid rate for the worse. But the tribulation still could be far away.

How is it you determined that the Gog-Magog war will start 6 mths after the start of the tribulation? I thought that the bible clearly said that Israel would be burning the weapons from that war for 7 years. If it's 6 months into the tribulation that leaves 6 1/2 years before Jesus returns.

Also, what is your opinion on the timing of the Psalm 83 war? I read Bill Salus' book Isralestine and he has a very well thought and researched theory that that war could happen before Ezekiel's.

I was thinking the same thing as you about the Ezekiel war. I think the Psalms 83 war will start this year very very soon because the peace talks are going nowhere
