i play bari sax with a yamaha Y-BS62. Let me just say that if you have ever played it, it is like playing the instrument of god. Anything below a G just makes you either orgasm or shit your pants at the sheer power of it... God I love bari sax.

I have played Bari for years now, and its a very underestimated instrument , and you playing this repetitive load of crap you call a solo you make it seem like has no range or worth, there are plenty of better solo's out there that are way more challenging and wort the time bro...

Flo, I'm glad your playing good on the bari. By the way, he's a 4 time all-stater...only one in the 4A district history not to mention he's in one of the top tier music colleges right now. Oh, and he mainly plays the bass clarinet...this was just a favor he did because the teacher asked him to play at his concert. He himself hadn't been playin the bari too long. you do know there are 6 different types of saxophones sartting from highest to lowest is soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, bass sax, bari sax and then contrabass sax and yes this is the order and i'm pretty sure bari is the 2nd lowest and the bass is the 3rd lowest so say what you think but i'm pretty confident this is the order

Marching with bari is easy, all you need to do is twist your neck strap so it doesn't readjust itself while you're marching and then let the neck strap carry the weight while you push the instrument away from you. it makes it steady and easy to carry.

bari saxes are very difficult to march with, it might be the hardest instrument to march and play with. Thats why alot of marching bands just get alot of susephones instead of having some bari saxes.

Yea, Bari's and Tenor's are the two worst to march with. Bari is obvious, I mean the weight and awkward size really makes it difficult. And the tenor isn't so bad in that aspect, but you still have to march with the horn at a perfect 90' angle. Very uncomfortable...
