Are you able to use other headphones? It is supposed to be a standard headphone jack but only the headphone that came with the phone works on mine

@852639 for music yes, for calling no. This is normal for android. I use a pair of Sony ear buds for music.

I see. After a few tries I figured out headphones work fine with my Tribe too, but aux chords or speakers don't work at all. I wonder if your phone is the same?

I have one of these and I love it except the speakerphone is really quiet. Is your volume also really quiet when you put it on speaker during a call?

@ncscons No I find this fine, make sure you have your speaker volume turned up. When on call press the volume up button on the side.

Alcatel didn't even put the upgrade part into android on this phone.

If they do it will be via update.zip :(

That said if you had more money you could buy a Desire Z or a Nexus One for $600 (with taxes) and it comes with 2.2

@oXbLindXo Only if your looking to change to Android, if you are comfortable with blackberry products I would stick with Blackberry and maybe get a bold3g. You will both gain and loose functionality. BBM will be your biggest loss but if you don't mind lossing that Android is a ton of fun.
