Why: 34 yrs military service, graduated 1st in his class at west point, shot 4!!! times in an operation in Vietnam despite being severly wounded continued to lead his men in a counter attack and won. Given one of the most demanding commands as Commander of all NATO forces in Europe. Lead the successful Balkan campaign.

i just read Hunter's article, and it seems clear he's a one-issue guy. he's opposed to the war in iraq and seems willing to just hope that Obama will "come around" on all the other issues where he and Obama disagree. Fat chance. Hunter is entitled to his opinion, but he certainly seems deluded....i've yet to actually meet ANY genuine conservative who is going to vote for Obama. most don't like mccain, but they'd take him over Obama any day of the week.

Maybe you haven't noticed but Bush's faux brand conservatism has not only greatly increased the size of the government, and taken away civil liberties but it has also fostered the second largest second biggest bank failure in history.
We may be looking at a crippling blow to our economy if we don't right out government and fast.

Wes Clark was a Hillary Clinton supporter. He understand's that ideally experience is needed, but he did bring up a good point on what Obama claimed he was running on. He should be the VP, he is one hundred percent right about McCain.

My bad. Didn't know he had cadged to get his name on 4 bills, none of which can be called groundbreaking, as co-sponsor (note he is never the lead). All of these no doubt significant pieces of legislation that will make our lives brighter and more prosperous in the future. And since he single handedly passed on of them (didn't need those other 50 senators or the guys in the other wing of the Capitol) I guess he does have the stuff of which leaders are made.
Question still stands.

FYI- He currently sits on four committees. Senate foreign relations, Senate committee on Veterans affairs, Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. He's also the chairman the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee On Europe. I'd call that pretty involved for a freshman senator. Get your google checked for "partisan hack" errors...

you listed thing that were meaningless in view of the fact that from the time Barry Hussein Obama was sworn in as a Senator in Jan 05, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee in Jan 07, he logged 257 days of actual experience in the Senate. That's how many days he attended while the Senate was in session 2005-2006. John McCain has 26 years as Senator. After 257 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be leader of the free world? ROTFLMMFAO!
