How cool is this? I'm from Mexico and my grandmother used to make a stir fry like this and serve it on toast (she called it chop suey). When I moved to the US, everyone here thought I was an odd person for eating "stir fry" on toast, but now I'm going to show them your video so they know at least one other person does it besides me.
@toriandherbffs yeah, but its not just the vegetables that make it healthy, bu healthy i meant like foods with less sugar, white wheet, greasy meat etc, but yea, i admit that i am really precise when it comes to tems of "healthy food" :)
@Cutiecake3414 it doesnt add calories...it just lessens the nutrients of the veggies when u cook it so its better to eat veggies as raw as possible...
i am SO going to make this after christmas for 2 weeks in a row, just to get back to the shape i was before christmas :D thanks @runnyrunny999 , but i still have one request: could you do this kind of healthy foods more in the future? i think everyone would like to cook something japanese but still really healthy?
Looks very good. I have tried several of your recepies, and until now they have all been good - And easy to make. Thank you very much for all your great videos.
What I like about this video is the different serving possibilities you offered. :) There are times in my life when I have little time to cook or I simply dont have the energy to cook something different every day and so I try to serve the food in a different manner so that it doesnt get boring. :)
I have never used wok in any of my videos yet...This one is standard frying pan. No...I never learnt how to cook. It's just me cooking in my own way :) That's why everyone should be able to make it :)
Right, vegetarians are not really common here but this dish is popular because you can make it with left-over vegetables in your fridge. You don't have to waste it any more :)
@runnyrunny999 Hey I know Sesame oil seems alittle pricey here in the states, well atleast in Pennsylvania it is, I am wondering how much it costs in Japan? I know it is used in alot of recipes and Its be on my mind lately. I bought alittle bottle like 50ml for like 8-10$.
just made this and it tastes great!

when frying the vegetables doesn't that add more calories to the food?
I mean no offense I just think that its still not to healthy.

That's right.
At least, we should not call "the dish shining by grease" healthy food.

is there any reason you always put your sauce in the pot by a circular motion and not just "plopped" onto the food
GOin4jaPAN1 1 year ago 2
@GOin4jaPAN1
It gives more roasted flavor if you add seasoning to inner surface of frying pan. Of course you can add it directly onto foods :)
