  • The piggy in the mud? haha

  • Thank you so much for these lessons. I actually learned how to play the organ a long time ago when I was about 10, but I quit, and even though I already have a basic notion of these first lessons, they have been reaaly usefull to me.

  • Worth watching for....on 1 hour(if you sum up the minutes of the 3 videos), you already learned 3 lessons!! Great!

  • @Lypur hi andrew! thanks for uploading all of these great stuffs. it really helps a lot! but can I know where I can find the next video (Lesson #4) ?

  • Amazing video sir, your awesome and yur truely doing a great service... I'm definitely gonna watch every video.. I'm really determined on learning ... Thank you so much..

  • I have to say, the reason there are less views is probably because some people are still trying to learn the second video. For some it was easy but for others it might be extremely difficult.

  • Hi, is there a way to download these videos? For some reason the audio is very low, specially in the beginning and ending where you talk far from the camera. Thanks!

  • Hey brother can u plz help me out???? actually i m a great fan of music and i have a habit of playing a chord with my finger no. 1, 2 and 4.... but according to ur video i have to use 1,3 and 5.... what should i do??? should i continue doing or change my habit????? plz do reply me.....

  • @bhishanrai5 his video said use fingers 1, 2, and 5 not 1, 3, and 5 b/c spreading those fingers is easier. he only demonstrated the "1, 3, and 5" method to show how awkward it is.

  • ahaha less views each video this isnt the age of persistance is it?

  • 860,000 views? people were getting bored :(

  • 4:50 that's what she said

  • It's as if you are actually talking to me 0.0

  • Just bought a synth and am using you to improve my keyboarding skills. Thanks a bunch dude, it's incredibly generous of you to make these for free. It's incredibly appreciated!

  • More and more people lose their desire of learning the piano. I'm pretty sure I'm not one of them and the one reading this loves to learn the piano. GO Andrew

  • 3rd video and staying strong.

  • You go in a completely different order to my teacher. He did all the major scales and minors because getting into chords.

  • what should i be practising everyday? is there a what to practise video?

  • oink oink, ok back to work piggy lol

  • 12:38 hahahahahha. So funny!!! Your hilarious. :)

  • I'm hoping that if I just keep watching the videos over and over it'll just stick in my head....

  • hahah :) OINK OINK OINK!... okay back to work piggy.

  • Thank you very much for posting this here. I really enjoied this and it was realy helpful. Keep up the great work.

  • And I forgot to mention that you have done an excellent job!!!! You made the lessons very fun.

  • Thank you so much for your tutorial. It's very helpful. I've been practicing the 7 majors from A to G with my right and left hand respectively and then I would play the same major with both hand simultaneously.(one hand on lower set and the other on higher set) It's a bit hard to play with both hands at the same time, but I enjoy it. I will keep practicing and hope one day I can play my favorite song. Thank you again for teaching us how to play piano. :D

  • Thank you so much for this, i'm a beginner and u can't imagine how you are helping me. May God continue to blees you and give you ten times over what you are giving us.

  • Is it the camera angle or do you have really long hands?

  • Thanks for the lessons! I bought my first piano 4 days ago and I'm already getting the hang of it.

  • Would i practice these inversion chords on both hands? Thanks :)

  • i liked the piggy joke by the way im getting better wohoo!!!

  • I am having a really hard time deciding whether I should buy the Yamaha PSR E423 or keyboard or the Casio CTK-6000. I am a complete beginner and hoping to be able to learn to play watching these videos. If anyone has any reason why I should or shouldn't buy either one, I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance!

  • Andrew, you are teaching me at exactly the right pace. Thank you so much. I'm 36 years old and I have a lot of musical ideas in my head, I've always been a guitar guy, and now that I have three children I got them a nice Yamaha U1 to play on, but guess who's on it most of the time? (ME!). Let me tell you something, if I get through all your videos and I discover that I'm playing the piano decently... I'm sending you a check!

  • Thanks so much dude......

  • You are an angel, man. Thanks a loooooooot!

  • Alot of people in youtube are so sick......they don't learn to appreciate other people. All they do is looking for someone to rain all their negative comments and pour their jealousy, judgement and criticism on.These type of people should just get off youtube and just go and see a psychologist for a while.By the way, thanks alot bro for your tutorials, they really help alot of us.Thumbs up!

  • your videos have been helping me alot! thanks!!!!

  • haha man your talented. how were you using a camera playing piano and toking at the same time?!?!

  • Damn! I really need a keyboard.

  • You're a legend mate, these lessons are fantastic :D. Do you have a donation link on Paypal or something like that?

  • I wish I live next to u, or I know you personally. So I can thank you personally :) u dont know how this helps us, speiallh when we can't afford a lesson cuz man! It's worth a fortune! But thanks! A lot! :D

  • @gmrqorsprite i think i may need to start from scratch as well

  • man, I love your humour!!

  • do the piggy!

  • I already knew how to play d major before you even started just based off your previous lessons

  • @rogersja100 good! :)

  • SLIDING DOORS MAN ...

  • Great work, thanks, I'm teaching my kids using your lessons!!!

  • i havnt seen anyone talking trash but according to the top comments there are some ppl that do, and i dont understand that, even if you dont think hes jokes are funny, this is a free lesson, dont bite the hand that feds you... dont make drew head butt you...

  • Your vids are great, keep up the awesome work

  • thank u drew, this one was fun....can't wait to continue

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • thanks buddy. im learning to play the piano and ur vids are very instructive.

  • i have no door nobs and my front door has a bolt for a lock

  • @kolinmartz thanks for sharing...

  • You crack me up and I've learned a lot. That's the sign of a great teacher.

  • been learning all these mechanics on my own for 2 years. never been as structured. the tools are important in order to understand the theory and theory backs the tools. going to see about watching the rest of these in order. :)

  • Omg your lessons have opened my eyes to how much of the BASICS I don't know! I mean, sure, I was formally taught the piano (when I was young Q_Q) but I'm dead sure I wasn't told HALF the stuff you show in your videos. Especially the rolling of the wrist thing for broken cords! I HAD NO IDEA D:

I shall watch your videos and start from scratch... I'm so going to regret I said that.

  • great teaching...but the sound is abit low :S...i cant crank the volume from my headset though :(....

  • Man.....at 9:15ish....I've never been told that! My teachers were obviously morons...they never told me 1/10 of the stuff you do. Awesome! SO clear. So good!

  • "Oink Oink Oink" ROFL. This is an awesome lesson.

    Thank you so much!

  • very instructional and humorous, always the best way to learn. fantastic lesson btw, keep up the great work. 5/5*

  • Ur piano lessons are top notch. I used to learn piano lessons but then I stopped cozihad to move t another school. So I'm regaining my technics ! Ur helping me slot

  • Do we have to play D Major in just tones and semi-tones or can we play it like C and G Majors?

  • it amazes me that just because someone cant understand or do something, they think they have the right to cuss someone who is teaching for free. These piano lessons cost a fortune from any other instructor. I like Andrew and people need to be grateful.. if he makes a mistake and you think you know what he should be doing, why cuss him instead of going about your business.. some people just need a ass whooping, spoilt brats even into adulthood, just because you are thick in the head. spoilt brats

  • Andrew, thanks for posting, after 40 years these vids have me watching with my new keyboard! How long should a practice last and how good should it actually sound before moving on to the next lessons? Thanks a bunch,

  • I really love youre lessons, it helped me so much! It would just be better for you to put names like "INTERVAL" in the screen so we can understand the word if u know what i mean

  • your joke are so not funny but it makes me laugh how unfunny they are your a great instructor though good video

  • Mannn I was about to curse you out at first because I was confused. lol But i repeated the video three times and Finally understand everything. I think at 4:00 minutes I was confused on your example of the inversion chord because you messed up. The g chords inversion you have the fingering wrong, if Im not mistaken. The G chord is: "1st finger - G; 2nd - B; 3rd - D" Inversion chord is: 1st - B; 2nd - D; 3rd - G; This is going off the example at the 7:00 mark you gave us.

  • I love these lesson videos so far, Andrew. I haven't actually gone to the practice in the two hours I've been viewing these, but these videos have already started clearing up a lot of my confusions that I have been having. Thank you so much.

  • YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • which lesson do we learn to play with to hands??? ^^

  • DO A BARREL ROLL

  • I think alot of people are confused about the tone tone semitone thing at least i was using each key= 1 so here it 2-2-1-2-2-2-1 so skip 2 keys then skip skip 2 more and so on and so forth

  • Thank you so much!

I was disappointed by the lack of alligators though...

  • thanks alot andrew you are very helpful.

  • I FEEL ACCOMPLISHED AFTER WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDEOS, LOL xD

  • thank you for everything :) your awesome man!!!!!!!!!!!! great to have a peple like you :) its great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thank you once again.

  • Playing piano was all my dream, Thank you so much for making my dream come true.......you are very good for a beginner like me......you make it easier.

  • Thank you so much Andrew!! I learn from your lesson and can practice more!!!

  • Thank you Andrew. My son and I are following your lessons on how to play piano. I'm sure your parents are very proud of you. Thanks again!

  • 10:10 - 10:20 - called what chord?

  • Thank you, even for your silly jokes, LOL, but mainly for the music theory along with teaching the instrument.

  • Thanks a bunch man

  • dude thank you so much, now i know 3 major scales! and for me that is amazing lol!!!!! Amazing Job those 81 mother fuckers just wanted to learn something with a blink of an eye, thank you for making the vids, whenever they ask me how i learn ill be sure to give you all the credit you deserve men. thanks!!

  • Thank you very much for this because why others are charging and not helping much, or others are simply laughing but doing absolutely nothing to help you have a very, very great way of breaking things down, something most piano players do NOT know how to do. that makes you a great teacher. Keep it up because you will end up helping to produce some of the best piano players. Thank you

  • holy shit...i burst into laughter at the doorknob joke haha i couldn´t believe he was actually speaking such nonesense

  • I love his laugh it reminds me of the happy mask man from The legend of zelda

  • oh man your so funny, well your not funny but thats what makes you funny

  • Oh forgot to say THANK YOU!

  • I learned more from your videos than I ever did the whole year of piano lessons. My teacher never explained anything, he just flipped a page and and said practice this and learn it. He was useless.

  • kooooooooool made it to my third lesson thnx :P

  • Thank you for your videos. I know have to play guitar and have had a piano sitting around for ages but have not have the means to get around to learning. You have given me this, and I thank you again for it. I am coming along well, and cant wait to get farther into the videos you have to offer!!

  • You are really good and helpful. xD

But your laugh is really creepy/funny. :D

    Lol. (;

  • I'm really glad that Andrew kind of has ADD, because I have ADD, and sometimes I'll zone out, and then he'll say something random and weird, and it brings me back to what I'm trying to do.

  • Clock on the right hand? ...

  • Thank-you very much for your great lessons. I did about two and a half already, and I am thrilled to see that there are more. I am looking forward to them. They are great and I am totally enjoying them.

  • Awesomeness!

  • I'm getting kind of confused. LOL! I'm trying really hard though. There are a lot of words! Maybe I'm not smart enough to do this or it gets easier later on.

  • @deannahodge99 I'd be the same way! What I do is I open Word and YouTube side by side, and that way I can take notes on the lesson. I write it all down in my own words, so it helps remember it. Then I can print it out and put it in my piano binder to look back on when I'm practicing. It helps a lot, and this makes it WWAAAYYYY easier to keep track of all the words! ;)

Don't give up, please! You can do it if you keep at it. The best way is to write it down, type it, whatever works for you!

  • @BTRockerFan You are totally awesome! You didn't have to respond to me, but you did. That was what I needed to keep going. For someone to tell me not to give up. It's so quiet around here and no encouragement. Thank you BTRockerFan.:o)

  • @deannahodge99 You so just made my day! It is pretty quiet! We'll just have to be each others support! ;D

  • I don't understand why anyone would even want to complain about someone who is offering what amount to a free tutorial session, which many people pay hundreds of dollars for. This man is offering a free service that he could in all honesty be charging for. So why rain on this man's parade or that of the many people seeking a tutorial lesson (free of charge)? it's like the saying goes: one bad apple spoiled the bunch, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree-think about that!

  • @tjlalaa you're so damn right I mean they hate so much yeah he's weard and he gives actualy weard(cool) examples and yeah he definately shows people how to do it and to understand it. Not to learn 10 keys and play the fuckin' song they want ...

  • Thank you, Andrew! You are wonderful. So kind.

  • I'm loving your lessons man. Thanks!

  • I don't mind the jokes as i'm learning an instrument i've always wanted to learn for free off the internet.

Also just the word "fingering" is making me laugh so I'm having fun regardless.

  • lol..... 4 million on the 1st lesson.... 1.2 million on the 2nd lesson... and now... 780 thousand? wow... more than 300 thousand people gave up... haha

  • THANK YOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :)

  • andrew, why is it that some people are against beginners using the transpose button? why would i learn to play in all keys when i can learn only on c and use the transpose button???? technology is for making life easier after all, isn't it?

  • @matimaui because you can't transpose on a real piano...
