I think this match was completely fair, for the fact that Matt could have cradeled him in alot of positions, he just didnt exicute it, there is no excuse for faliure and ya anthony has some sick upper body for his weight.

Wrestling Robles is very unfair. He has one leg that takes away about 45 pounds off of him. He has the strength of a 165 pounder while wrestling at 125. Also he has one fucking leg what movies can you do on a guy with one leg who stays on his knee the whole match.
I took 3rd in our dicstrict tournament today, when i was wrestling for 3rd place i was getting beat all of 1st period. at the start of the second i was down. and he kept me down for awhile, he was going for a half and messed up and i reversed him. there were about 200 to 300 people watching us. and i ended up pinning him and as soon as i pinned him i got up and put my hands out to the crowd. and did a lil celebration. and everyone was screaming and chearing for me. i felt like a badass. haha
No doubt Anthony Robles wrestled his ass off! But If you watch Matt McDonough. It doesn't look like he gave it his all. I speak from experience. I wrestled in high school. McDonough spent most of his time in front of Robles going head to head and hardly any time behind him. Not once did I see him hook his arms under Robles when he was behind him for points. No disrespect to Robles. He did a great job! Matt on the other hand could of tried harder. He was very sloppy in my opinion.

All right having a leg is A MAJOR DISADVANTAGE. For one, being stronger than your opponent does not mean you will win. Any good wrestler can beat someone that's 10x as strong as them. Also, having one leg is a MASSIVE DISADVANTAGE. How the hell are you supposed to balance with one leg? I dare you guys to try wrestling with one leg at that level and watch you guys get your ass kicked. He has perfect technique, that is why he won.
major advantage to the Anthony Robles, he is a fantastic wrestler and has accomplished a lot with only one leg. Having one less leg is not always an advantage though, you have to lower your stance down to where he is, about half your moves are out the window, and not to mention is strength at a 125 pounder. His build is of a 152, give or take, allowing him to out-muscle any wrestler in his weight class. Still a great accomplishment by him though.
I wrestled in high school and it kind of seems unfair... but it's a gray area. The fact that he has only one leg makes one side of his body easy to defend cause the opponent has nothing to grab as leverage. Also, Robles has a ton more upper body strength. Still got to give him props tho. Much respect to him.
Im not going to put Robles down at all... What hes done as a wrestler with one leg most wrestlers cant do with 2 legs. He is a legend... hands down. However, as a wrestler myself who has wrestled Robles, him having one leg is really an advantage to him. Theres one less limb to grab and use for a takedown and other moves where grabbing that leg is necessary to be successful. and as stated on here already Nobles gets an advantage with his superior upper body strength at a lower weight class.

Those crutches he uses are a bunch of shit. He's been missing one leg his whole life. The other one is fine, he only needs one crutch. He's going for peoples sympathy. Plus, he has just as much leverage with one leg as someone with two. He loses only a little stability, but that can be corrected with practice. He loses weight as well, which he can "trade" for muscle. This legless fuck being able to wrestle is an insult to homosexual athletes everywhere.

All right having a leg is A MAJOR DISADVANTAGE. For one, being stronger than your opponent does not mean you will win. Any good wrestler can beat someone that's 10x as strong as them. Also, having one leg is a MASSIVE DISADVANTAGE. How the hell are you supposed to balance with one leg? I dare you guys to try wrestling with one leg at that level and watch you guys get your ass kicked. He has perfect technique, that is why he won.

major advantage to the Anthony Robles, he is a fantastic wrestler and has accomplished a lot with only one leg. Having one less leg is not always an advantage though, you have to lower your stance down to where he is, about half your moves are out the window, and not to mention is strength at a 125 pounder. His build is of a 152, give or take, allowing him to out-muscle any wrestler in his weight class. Still a great accomplishment by him though.

I wrestled in high school and it kind of seems unfair... but it's a gray area. The fact that he has only one leg makes one side of his body easy to defend cause the opponent has nothing to grab as leverage. Also, Robles has a ton more upper body strength. Still got to give him props tho. Much respect to him.

Im not going to put Robles down at all... What hes done as a wrestler with one leg most wrestlers cant do with 2 legs. He is a legend... hands down. However, as a wrestler myself who has wrestled Robles, him having one leg is really an advantage to him. Theres one less limb to grab and use for a takedown and other moves where grabbing that leg is necessary to be successful. and as stated on here already Nobles gets an advantage with his superior upper body strength at a lower weight class.

robles is amazing, but one disadvantage gives him other advantages. He is missing a leg which for his size could be the least 15 pounds, and so he has a much stronger upperbody and core. he is also very low to the ground and has a very strong leg, he has enough to have just a slight edge on mcdonough. even with disabilities you arent always disabled.
