  • I think the reason he is resting his chin on the fretboard is because of the extra strings. He doesn't want the to resonate over what he is playing at certain parts. All he is doing is dampening the strings.

  • @Gepduarsinful that's only partially true. check his website, everything is explained there, including some audio examples

  • Is he using his fucking chin to fret notes?!

  • I love Haydn and this guitarist played him well.

  • Como diria o saudoso Fernando Pessa: e esta hem??....

  • does anyone know his tuning? I'm not sure I'm sold on the high nylon string,

    great performance non the less.

  • This performance of Haydn is the best argument I have seen/heard for the advantages of an 8-string guitar over 6. Beautifully played.

  • Fantastic! His performance is really amazing! More!

  • This is fabulous playing. Forget the chin this guy is a true musician not a clown. Great musicality, good form, perfect sense of style, can we ask more?

  • amazing!!!!

  • That's an interesting technique. But he's good.

  • Chin or not, this guy is good

  • Great tone! i mean really GREAT the tone variation and colour is beautiful, nice and crisp too...well done....Bravo!

  • Wonderful rendition!

  • Wonderful! Bravo!

  • Does the beard produce better tone when fretting the bass notes?

  • He uses his chin to get the wider range of tones and that allows him to play notes he couldn't normally reach with his left hand fingers.

  • @GitarFestBL It seems to me that he may be trying to dampen the strings he doesn't want to hear resonate when the harmonic context were inappropriate..., maybe? I really don't think that he can play notes on the strings he presses with his chin :-). But whoever saw him live may know better...

  • @Curatica He has a tutorial on his web site on how to fret bass notes with the chin. It's very interesting.

  • @GitarFestBL That's pretty cool.

  • Awesome!!!

The best 8 strings of the world!!!

    Best regards.
