i got this last month was playing it the morning and it turned off didnt know so i turned it back on went normal froze then it turned off now i have the original one and i still have black ops in their but no it happens when theirs something wrong with the dics drive or it could be overheated but that never happens it happens when something is wrond with a hard disc drive

@tipou900, check to make sure your cords are not damaged and if it is a hdmi problem, try to fix it by unplugging it and securely plugged it back in. Happens to most people.

The YLD is very annoying but if it were an overheat, it could just be the fan not working properly or a fan that doesn't have a lot of blades like most new fat ps3's have. Anyone that has a fan that is not turning, its probably just stuck. The way to fix that is either to get a new fan for it or try to fix the fan, but look at videos on youtube on how to open your ps3 and how to fit your fan to keep it from stalling.

you have the YLD (yellow light of death), which means you leave your PS3 on for days at a time, or you just play WAY TO MUCH, and your PS3 was not able to reconcile any cool air and it overheated and it's done. so just leave it be, stop freakin out, and go outside, and get some sun.

this happens more often in the 60gig ps3 and it's because of the overheating now, newer ps3's like 80 gig or 160gig i don't know but the newer ones don't get that much because sony did something for that not to happen i'm not saying it won't happen cuz it might but for example mine if it's turned on for too long and overheating a message pops up and says it will shut down because of the overheating...

I've had 4 PS3's do this and my 4th one done it tonight while playing MW2. I have had this one for 3 months and the one before i had 5 months.

I had to pay £130 to get the 'new' 3rd and 4th one's as my warranty had expired and they do not renew it after a year and 3 NEW Playstation's later!! AND i had to give all my old one's back to Playstation although they claim they are unfixable. If so, why do they need them back?!
