I think that The Political Machine 2012 should either include Primaries, or have an expansion with Primaries because they played such a big roll in the election of '08. I have a feeling they will be just as, if not more, important in 2012. Technology should also play a big role. Obama utilized technology to help him win the election. We should introduce a Blackberry to the game, but make it a play on words such as Blueberry. Include email, one and one, and conference calls. It'll be great!

The game was released in June last year so Sarah Palin wasn't included in the first release, but she's available as a downloadable character. Fred Thompson is not in the game but I guess he could easily be created with the Character Editor...

for the candidate creator thing, can you make up your own platform at the get-go, or does the "platform" depend entirely on your campaign ads, attack ads, and how you give certain speeches?

You do get a number of points during the candidate creation process with which you can influence your candidate's position on various important political issues. The problem is that you don't get nearly enough points to fully customize your candidate's platform on all available issues, so I guess it's more about picking a few defining elements of your platform before the actual campaign starts...

The difficulty setting used here is simply very low, as this video was merely intended to show some of the most interesting gameplay features.
