along with pilipino, english is the official language in the philippines. all communications in the government and private sectors are in english,as are all newpapers and magazines. testimonies in any philippine dialect given in any court are translated and transcribed in english. the philippines is the third
biggest english-speaking country in the world and i'm sure every passenger on this flight spoke or at least understood everything that was said.
I flew maby time Cebu Pacific...Loved it all the time. Love the games but never won...wink. Flighing Cebu Pacific is just great! Congrats girls.....Safety with fun
What would happen if a real emergency happened on this flight? The ones who do not understand English and only took visual cues during the safety demo would probably be dancing and grooving while putting on their life vests, lol. Not a bad idea! Make something out of a bad situation fun. Instead of alarm and messages from the cockpit just play Lady Gaga's Just Dance for the people to ready for emergency.
This airline is based in the Philippines (not the #1 airline there). Filipinos do speak English also because it's the medium of instruction in schools. I haven't flown aboard this airline yet, but the major airline uses both English & the primary language for this announcement.
Many frequent flyers don't pay attention to the videotaped airline's safety announcement anymore, but this one is an attention grabber, @ least for me.
