I love this animation. Smooth for it's time. Every Saturday morning, from 6 am to noon. Now today they got The CN. The commercials were the best. I remember CAp'n Crunch $1000 give away. The McD's Menu song, vote for the new Lucky Charms Marshmallow, the sneakers ad for Stride Rite Zips. Saturday Morning Cartoons, the best way to get kids to sit down and shut up for 6 hours.
MMMM I smell saturday mornings mum doing breakfast and I can see my bike out the window waiting to hit the road out from noon till ten am wash supper and kiss mummy and bed
Yes I remember watching this cartoon in the weekends growing up. Wow!! I would always make believe I was Tarzan when I watched this cartoon. "I am Tarzan Lord of The Jungle and this is my Domain" Aaahhaaaaaaaa =-)
I used to watch this cartoon as a kid and then go out and pretend that I was Tarzan. Brings back so many memories. I forty now but I think I'll go outside now and climb a tree and pretent to be Tarzan again. See you in jail!!!!
Great Job as always Hex! Youve been kind enough to upload so many episodes. I finally downloaded all of these from another site. Other Filmation shows worth mentioning are JourneyToTheCenterOFTheEarth, Fantastic Voyage,Space Sentinels, Star TrekTAS, and I think Lassie&theRescueRangers. Ive seen them all on the net except for Lassie. But Tarzan is among my top 2 or 3 favorite with Flash Gordon.
Kids shows that make a point for morality aren't good for business. It's taboo in our society to give children any kind of respect or regard. We need to believe that candy coated, gratuitously violent junk is all they want or need. The idea of a child with a mind is abhorrent in our society.
I´m 32 years old and all cartoons made by Filmation were a great hit among the kids on my childhood days! Take tarzan for a example, this cartoon was my favorite, it was broadcasted here in Brazil from 1980 to 1987, and about a year ago, the brazilian network SBT begun to broadcast it again on saturday mornings! and, I gotta tell ya, what made me like so much this cartoon ( besides the perfect drawing) was the morality behind every single episode!I wish today kids could enjoy such cartoons!
Man, God Bless you for sharing these episodes. I remember these from my youth. They do not make shows like this anymore. Let me know if you ever plan on selling DVDs or VHS copies or if you know Filmation plans on doing so.
hi there my friend! I agree with you! I´m a huge fan of Filmation too! but, I have something sad to tell you, I think filmation stopped working since 1988! well,I´m a brazilian and, here in Brazil the last Filmation´s cartoon ever broadcasted was Bravestarr ( from 1987)! but, I hope I´m wrong!
That was the last one we got over here as well. Bravestarr was one of their last good shows. But I figured since He-Man and She-Ra were now on DVD, I was hoping they'd do Flash Gordon and Tarzan someday as well. Who knows, I've already seen Filmmation's Ghostbusters series out on DVD (1987, not the 70's version) :-)
i wish they would put it on DVD

I like all those shows you have brought up :
- flash gordon
- filmation ghostbusters ( the cartoon, 1986)
- He-man ( 1983) and she-ra ( 1985) some more others:
- will the real Jerry Lewis please sit down ( 1970)
- Blackstar ( 1981) but, my favorite fimation cartoons has always been " Tarzan, lord of the jungle"
all those cartoons above were a great hit here in Brazil!
Tarzan is still broadcasted on saturday mornings around here and he-man is broadcasted on Sunday mornings!
