  • u look like the angel of death from click

  • fuck i keep playing the first 35 seconds over and over again cause that was fuckign awsome!!!

  • It's originally tuned down a half step, and the intro riff, and most of the riffs that follow are played around the middle of the neck. But I'll be damned if you're not playing/teaching it in a way I didn't think of, and it sounds pretty good. For ease of playing though, the 'raked' chord shape is a power chord on the A and D strings with an open low E, and you can take it from there.

Pretty cool though that you're able to play it like that..

  • Its actually eadgbe

  • E=Easter B=Bunny G=Gets D=Drunk A=At E=Easter.

lol that what i learned when learning the strings and frets

  • i have that guitar!

  • no one will show me the part right after that

  • thanks but can u go a little slower next time

  • can u post the rest plz?

  • you said it too fast lol i just got my guitar and almost got it

  • the way I learned this part must be the noob way. this way sounds much better.

  • Im supprised you can pay it this way. I tried and the other way is a lot easier, for me.

  • omg ur the collest teacher ever i learned in like 5 min and i suck lol thx

  • and btw it sounds a little off bcuz his guitar is tuned just a little low and probably from the recording equipment too so stop bitching and fix anything u want when u play it urself

  • thnx man this song had been a bitch 4 me 2 learn on my own

  • whats the note after 4th frethj 4th string?

  • It's ok for acoustic but it's off I like it bit it's just off it's done on the 7-10 frets but your still good

  • god, you're good...

  • @rdkguitar hey man it sounds good but the way i learned it i play open E then palm sweep Open E-7a-9d then on to 10d then on to 7 g then back to 10d 9d 7d 7d 10d 9d 7d 10a 9a. lol sorry for texting tabs but i feel the way i learned sounds a little better i play electric so that could be the issue but anyway your way sounds good to.

so all in all this is the tab i learned :

    OE OE 7A 9D 10D 7G 10D 9D 7D 7D 10D 9D 7D 10A 9A OE

Sweep the second OE through the 9D

    the sweeps are muted.

  • lol why everyone pissed for lol

  • Thanks I like playing it in this position when playing acoustic.

  • haha , hell yeah tell him

  • tis is so wrong

  • evil poptart you are such a moron

  • isn't there a song with this prelude but only on classic guitar? it's great but i only like the clean opening and not the whole song

  • i thought it was difrent notes but still kwl vid

  • i swear if someone say he is playing it on the wrong frets or its wrong. i am going to invent teleportion and teleport to there home and kick thee ass! there is more then one way to play !!!!!!

  • @ThreeBlossoms hahahaha, ur soo write man, i hate it when people dont understand what a key is and still fill the need to comment

  • @jacobh0846 yea i know it sounds the same as the real thing and i bet half of the F'ers cant even play it as well as this guy!

  • the rake part is suppose to be higher....

  • ur all stupid theres not just 1 way to do it. this way is fine so eat me

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your playing it different, it's just the e minor scale on the 7th fret A string

  • wtf er...... watch the music video of the song moron you can closely see he is nowehere near the frets your on

  • there is more than one way to play the same note dumbass

  • yea hes not on the right frets ... :(

  • woah, we got a retard here >_> Only few songs can be played in just one way.

  • You can play notes anywhere on the guitar. Scales are all over the place. Who's the moron now?

  • @poopbooger haha poop booger

  • whoa!

never seen anyone play it like that before

  • oh my god who cares what he plays it on it sounds exactly the same thats all that matters

  • you made it sound like it was a big deal haha

  • its about goddamn time some 1 can teach it the right way im sick of the idiots teaching me wrong tabs 5 stars 4 sure

  • geees whenever i hear the song FROM coheed it sound like it aint from E.. but from D# .. i must be deaf

  • however the hell you did it-i learned after 3 pathetic months of trying. for some people it just clicks different--thanks bro!

  • you can actually play it either way because you can play an e minor chord either on the 2nd fret or 7th fret so it just has a slight tone difference.

  • awesome job, kuz most people think it is on the 7th fret but that is actually the easy way, and u taught us the more difficult way. Thanks!!!!

  • right notes(ish)... wrong position though. It's much simpler on the 7th fret.

  • wrong... it sounds the same, but I think that people want to know how it's really played. Because it's played from the 7th fret

  • no actually he is right. the pussy ass way that is really easy is starting on the 7 fret

  • well go tell claudio sanchez that he is a pussy then... because he definitely plays it on the 7th fret...

  • I'd gladly tell that stupid looking Muppet what's up.

  • I need tabs!!! xD

  • Yeah I was gonna say the same thing as WSrunna15

  • Wrongo.....it's supposed to be played on the 7th fret with tuning down a half step.

  • hes just doing it by ear, not tab

  • nope he is right. the really easy way is played on the 7th fret( the electric guitar way)

  • All the notes are correct, but it is most certainly played on the 5th, 4th, and 3rd strings, starting in the 7th position.

  • how do i tune my guitar so it sounds right

  • use standard tuning. Strings 1-6, E,B,G,D,A,E,:)

  • I actually tune my guitar by knowing the songs one, Emily, and Th Harry Poyyr Theme. it really help you know wat they sound like.

  • @rdkguitar It's actually tuned a half step down from standard, so D# G# C# F# A# and D#

  • @rdkguitar The actual song is played in half step though isn't it?

  • lol, great job!! :D and they're always called thirds, not note pairs, although you can go by that^^
