I really like the concept of zune, the whole file sharing, the personalization (which I'm all about...and ipod isn't) and the radio function is cool too. The one problem I have with ipods (I have one, by the way) is that once you put your music on it you can't put it back onto your computer. So let's say your music gets deleted on your pc or mac and you want it back. too bad. and that really fucking pisses me off...can you get music back from zune?

Yea, Zune's software gives you the feature of transferring music back onto your hard drive from the Zune Hard Drive. The problem with the Apple Ipod is that they are formatted in Mac so Windows is unable to read them correctly to transfer music off.

Actually this is a bit false. You can transfer music and some other things off the ipod via iTunes. However, it will only get itunes purchases. For the rest, set your ipod up with disk use enable a get a free program, I recommend Senuti because it is not limited to just your itunes purchases. I hope this helped.

Pretty much if it doesnt have Copy Protection on it. I know Bearshare files wont work on any mp3 player. The files are coded so they only work with their program. Not sure why they did that but whatever. There might be more. iTunes files might work now since i think they got rid of their DRM but im not sure.

They made an agreement that got rid of some DRM files on iTunes, but there are still songs with DRM on them.

You have to use the software to put music into the zune but you can use music you got from Limewire. Just add the files to the Zune Program and sync um, it's that easy.

um dude just i hade to take back my zune and get a new one and then thay told me if you hold back and down it will scwe up your battore and if you hit play and puse it dos shut it off and then if you hit any botten that is the power ok

I've had my Zune for a year now almost and I have yet to notice a decrease in battery life. Shutting down the player shouldnt cause any problem for the battery. The only thing that will screw up L-ion batteries is leaving them with a low charge all the time or temperatures.

Hey man i recently had an ipod but sold it. The thing is I still have my itunes music in there with a mess load of songs. I was wondering if you can somehow put all the songs into the Zune somehow. Is that possible?

Not sure if it is now. I heard somewhere that recently Apple was getting rid of their copy protection on the .aac files so you could put them on any device and in any music playing software but I'm not for sure on that. Maybe. If its not purchased through from their store however then it will work.

Ok I have a question. I am duel booting Ubuntu and windows XP. But I use Linux as my primary operation system and it has all my music and videos on it.

So I am wondering if the Zune uses a drag and drop interface when putting music on it. So then I can delete the music off of XP but when I plug in the Zune it won't try to auto update it and remove the music off my Zune.

Personally Zune but the ipod is still pretty awesome. That Creative Zen Vision also sounds cool its just not as pleasing to the eye.

I know how to download videos off youtube (using vixy) but every format on there is none compatible with my Zune. I can watch the video using the zune player but it won't sync to my device.

Dude all you gotta do if you havn't gotten the crack to allow those other formats to sync is use your Windows Movie Maker that comes with most XP and Vista editions. It's located in your Accessories folder and all you gotta do is add the video file to the movie (uncheck create clips) and then just save it. Make sure its 320x240 so you dont have to do any converting. It will now be a .wmv.

Great review. I liked it. I own a Zune, and I understand how you feel. But I've got some questions. How do you get a 10:36 video? I thought there was a 10 min limit. Can you give me the exact link to that zmeta thing? I can't find it.

Oh, and are you the same guy, with that video and you were borrowing your friend's ipod, and he got mad when he saw you with it, and y'all argued a lot about which was better? That was a hilarious video!

Yea, Im the same guy with the other video. I used to have another Youtube account but it got suspended for dumb reasons... The videos were linked... I forgot to link them again. Zunescene dot com should have Zmeta just search for it on there & YouTube allows up to 10:38 sec, they just dont tell you. lol
