  • This is so good.

  • in this vid, hes a combo of mick jagger and michael cera

  • ... LONG before Mick Jagger and Michael Cera came along JAMES BROWN was THE man....There are way too many influences to mention inspiring this; ALL tossed together with ultimate BECKNESS

Genre-bending and mad creative SYNTHESIS is THIS man's superior gift, enjoy!

  • lame crowd but great performance

  • I saw this show when it aired. The performances were intercut with interviews that were done on lawn chairs in a parking lot. I remember thinking that he reminded me of James Brown in the way that he was totally in charge of the performance. He was the unquestioned boss. And the next time I saw him, he was completely different. Either way, this performance was what opened my eyes and I've since been a total Beck nut.

  • HERE, HERE!!!

  • YAYEUH!!!

  • favorite beck song. it looks like he forgot how to end it

  • This is fucking wonderful.

  • sweet i have this on videotape. so glad i don't have to put it up now, what a party. love the breakdown @ 4:30.

  • Beck is fucking crazy. The audience just wasn't feeling him the bastards.

  • This how I love Beck- high energy goofiness. I don't think he's ever created a track that wasn't genius, but his last two albums have missed out on this kind of fun. Still, the best musician of the past 15 years, hands down.

  • Te best musician of the last 15 years , I'll second that. Odelay is 12 years old and sounds as fresh and cutting edge today as it ever did. Beck is an artistic giant albeit a very postmodern one and in my mind he, in terms of merit, keeps the company of Dylan, Van Morrison, Cohen, Lou Reed, Bowie . Sea Change showed he had depth in his songwriting and playing outside of studio based genre blending genius that is his trademark. The Information is a complex landmark record well ahead of its time

  • Badass!!!

  • he is fucking amazing.

  • daora esse clip

  • Beck Hansen you have made my night

  • top ten songs of the 90's

    Beck is still a badass

  • That was fucking incredible...what bass is that?

  • Beck is never Back!! He's always on Track. In other words Beck is Beck and never Wack. My Man.

  • Keep Rockin it Beck!

  • what bass is that?

  • Damn that was sharp!

  • oh that was awesome!!!!

  • wasn't it?

I love Beck and this version is amazing

  • best performance of this song . . . ever

  • beck does a great robot

  • best band ever

  • What an awesome human being

  • That was awesome.

  • musical maturity

  • good musicians know that simplicity and smart musical arrangement speaks volumes. a good musician can rip on their instruments but a great musician listens and doesn't over do their part like some egotistic ones. imagine all these musicians ripping the whole time playing the most complicated lines. it would be pure chaos. to have around 7 musicians play together leaving room for everyone space in the song is great talent, no one likes a selfish over riding musician

  • *-space

  • yah whatever!!! i'm not a big beck fan but i gotta admit this sounds gooooood.....

  • Wowzar!

  • One word. FANTASTIC.

  • I just love the juxtaposition of his white nerd boy look and his hip hop voice and act. this is my favorite of his performances since he shows incredible stage charisma. I was blown away when I saw this on TV and so happy to find it on Youtube. I miss the young beck.

  • saw him in boca raton fl and he completely rocked it. it was for the sea change tour but he ended up rockin out debra and a bunch of midnight vultures stuff which couldn't have gotten any funkier.

  • Agreed to all.......he's the funk shit goin'....

  • Funkiest whiteboy ever.

  • @DougJ

Mad props to you for that one DougJ!

  • He raps better than all those gangsta rap MoFo's...

  • damn right

  • I agree

  • such an excellent song

  • i saw him last year at an open air festival, and he performed this song.., genious

  • Absolutely, wait, gotta untangle myself, Unbelievable!

  • Saw him in 99, he blew me away.

  • Justin's bass is so fuckin' rad.

  • a-m-a-z-i-n-g

  • People should listen to this often, it is incredible, to bad the audience is dumb as fuck..

  • To say that this is EPIC would be an understatement, and yes cole they are dumber than f*ck...

  • "I gotta untangle myself!"

"I gotta get my coat on!"

    So epic.

  • i dont see how the crowd wasnt going nuts. just standing there.. oh well beck makes up for it

  • 5* from Germany....wish I could dance like him ;-) !

  • Thanks for uploading this. This is not only my favorite version of this song, it's probably my favorite Beck "song" and one of my favorite performances of all time. I first encountered this version on the "Make Out City" bootleg about eight years ago and was blown away. You can find the full video of this show if you poke around the web.

  • That is basically sex for the eyes and ears

  • That vid is so unbeleivably cool

  • beck is so unbelievably cool

  • i think i just turned gay

  • Wow!... Estrepitosamente galactico.

  • the bass is a killer one on this!!!.. my friends who whine about good ol' beck not being that good ol' anymore.. the technology represented in this video is definitely called YOUTH. Beck's grown-up nowadays, you know..

  • Well said.

  • Great comment(hehe)come visit the New Pollution, Beck fans of the world UNITE, we have the technology!

  • lol i think this is what Futurama was referencing in the episode "Bendin' in the Wind" -- Beck is putting on a concert with Bender and they finish playing Where it's At and Beck says "That song doesn't usually last three hours, but we got into a serious thing. Then I forgot how it ended."

  • Mmmm, I think you're wrong. The song that sounds on Futurama is Sexx Laws.
