I saw this show when it aired. The performances were intercut with interviews that were done on lawn chairs in a parking lot. I remember thinking that he reminded me of James Brown in the way that he was totally in charge of the performance. He was the unquestioned boss. And the next time I saw him, he was completely different. Either way, this performance was what opened my eyes and I've since been a total Beck nut.
