  • I thought they ditched the concept with all those failures before.

  • @TATARSTAN59500 what the fuck did you just say? stp tipin lyk dis. name the easy to shoot down technology please. Id love to here your knowledge about this plane. and fyi, this flys higher then other helis so its out of range of stingers, it has flares, and it has special paint. so i dont get whats so easy to shoot down about it

  • It's not a helicopter. It's a tilt rotor aircraft

  • ...bringin' sexy back

  • fully deployed in Iraq and doing very well. I think there are some biased comments here on anti aviation testing. I would not want to be on the receiving end of any threat attempt. You will have 4 seconds to run for cover.

  • is bad cost 67 miilons dollars and no work better than helicopter !

and is very big ans no stealth so with sa-24 or stinger is easy to shot down

  • @TATARSTAN59500 i don't think u understand that its the fastest helicopter ever made, witch is the whole point.

  • @bujoun76 any and every plane has technical issues at some point.

  • Impressionante!!

  • Amazing!!!

  • The beauty of military tec

  • Im bringing sexy back...YEAH

  • skip to 1:46 for the takeoff..

  • Glad to hear they fixed all of the flaws of this aircraft, it truly is amazing.

  • is wonderful is the best

  • @elimiNATEu4sure Sikorsky helicopters aren't Russian according to u?

  • @jsplicer9 Ukranian :P but close nuff.

  • Can you tell the announcer is crossing his fingers, and praying to God that the damn thing doesn't crash?!

  • Nice!

  • It's a type that dicks can't top

  • gotta be honest... the russians still have the better helicopters and aircrafts! like or not!

  • @nymerie DO YOU GO AND SHOOT UP HEROIN OR SOMETHING DUDE THE RUSSIAN ARE GOOD FOR ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY THEIR FUCKING AMAZING ACCENT THATS IT

  • @elimiNATEu4sure What fucking "amazing accent"?! It's sounds shit! That's not the topic anyway! Stop using heroin yourself, son!

  • This machine kills fascists!

  • What's "retreating blade stalls"?

  • That Osprey just brought sexy back.

  • a normal propeller my ass...those blades are friggin huge

  • NEVER FORGET, IT WAS A BRAZILIAN WHO INVENTED THE AIRPLANE, BRAZIL THANK YOU, THANK YOU SAINTS DRUMOND THE CREATOR!

  • Really? You mean George Lehberger?

  • They had this at the Alliance this year and got to sit in the cockpit. Well layed out LCD screens I think its what its called. Anyway I was surprised it had a stick rather then a hand grips. Pilot cab section was real nice but crew deck was rather crude but having been in the army myself I can tell you its not supposed to be comfortable - its a war machine and it does its job.

  • is this aircraft still flying today ?

  • @brsrkr323 Ofcourse, it's new, it was introduced in 2005

  • @Colt357B

Actually, It was accepted and introduced by the Marine Corps in the 80's and became operational in the 90's..I'm a crew chief on one...2005 is not correct...

  • can you believe the brits also wanted some of these,

  • I never saw this and I was there

  • good job us got best aircrafts in the world

  • i get why helicopters have the speed limitation, but even if they props didnt tilt forward, wouldnt it nullify that effect because it has props horizontal from each other that are counter rotating?

  • where can i buy it????

  • why are they playing i'm bringing sexy back??

  • Awesome! I love it when our tax dollars are spent on killing machines! Fuck those commie terrorists!

  • crrraaaaazzzaaayyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the least exciting air show announcers I've ever heard. He sounds so uncertain with it. All the air shows I've been to have had excited, dramatic announcers.

Also, "Bringing Sexy Back" as the Osprey's theme? Really?

  • Look at my chopper, my chopper's amazing. Give it a lick, it tastes just like rasins. Have a stoke of it's throttle, it turns into a plane. And then it turns back again, when you tug on it's rotor.

  • Is the V22 bringing sexy back? lol

  • This new aircraft suck ass.

  • Kick Ass!!!

  • this thing replaced the mh-53?

  • ya if that's the pave low. but only some of them idk

  • lol, sexy back song!!!

  • Чудовище какое-то. По-моему обычный вертолёт практичней. и дешевле

  • ok so this isn't a normal type of A/C i have a question what counteracts torque in the event of an enginge failure during hover mode or landing config? it looks like it could be handful

  • There is a transmission between the left and the right engine, so if there is an engine failure the aircraft can continue flying.

  • @ssrfg in normal flight, the two proprotors turn in opposite directions, and this counteracts the other proprotor's torque. In the event of engine failure, there is a shaft that powers the other rotor. along the way to the failed rotor there is a gearbox that changes the direction that the shaft is turning, thus creating the opposite torque required to keep the aircraft under control.

  • so between two engine nacells that pitch vertically through a fuselage there is a shaft that will rotate a dead prop? that would seem obvious. i cant imagine how many components can fail in that application. i am an old pilot with A+P rating and an IA really never saw a need for this things i bet the mechanics hate it.

  • Comment removed

  • @ssrfg thats exactly right, and yeah i bet they do, because the few Marines i've talked to said its a piece of s**t and impossible to maintain. they need it to take off from ships and land in small openings, but also to travel long distances quickly. and you're quite lucky to be a pilot, i want to become one, but.. im in the seventh grade ): cant wait to get my PPL

  • I work for Boeing up here in Philadelphia where they make the V-22....and it never ceases to amaze me....

  • I'm glad you posted this! I was one of the crew chiefs that was with the aircraft at the airshow and this is the only video I could find from that airshow. Thanks!

  • @TEBassett is it hard to maintain?

  • This aircraft has had a bloody past but I am glad to see it in service in Iraq and working well!

  • @bujoun76 whats its bad past

  • @bayliner4life There were alot of crashes and development delays. a few of those crashes took lives on mass. As far as development delays go I am much more forgiving because I understand that it is extremely difficult making totally new aircraft. Hence the F-35 and its "technical" issues.

Anyway im sure there's a documentary or something here on Youtube about this awesome airplane!

  • An Amazing demonstration

  • Nice, nothing more to say

  • vertical lift-off and an incredible speed what do you want more ?

  • Idiot.

  • I don't think they do now, but I've heard rumors from a retired officer that a gimbal-mounted mini-gun is in the works.

  • Yeah, its in testing right now at VMX-22. Its a turret mounted system that drops out of the aft hell hole.

  • a machine gun at the back that requires the rear door to be lowered. thats it. its mostly a transport aircraft.

  • The engines are still built in the US, what's your problem with RR? Allison have been license building RR engines for 40 years....so what's in an name? You obviously don't know a great deal about aerospace engineering or reliability issues. 'Crew chief' my arse!

  • To bad allison doesnt build our engines rolls royce bought them out and RR builds them!

  • sexy back XP

  • Excellent video of an excellent aircraft! And you're right, that annoying "song" (more like noise or mindless bling-bling gibberish) in the background is ruining the MV-22's style...

  • four of these flew through chattanooga a few years ago and it was loud as hell these things flying a few hundred feet over your house.lol

  • And Yes.... It does bring SexyBack.

  • Wow,what a cool stuff :D

  • I did see an Osprey towards the end of the day during the week in Virginia Beach, right on the edge of the ocean. First time I'd ever seen one and I was ecstatic!

  • NICE fav plane/Heil :)
