The only problem with this quattroporte, is the clutch. Because the clutch has been "fine tuned" it is more rigid and stiff. It beaks very quick! the father of a friend of mine, had 2, broke the first clutch within 6 months and the second one within 2 years.

Wow, it beats the maserati by a whopping 0.1 second! How lucky you feel for yourself with your bwm 3-series. I mean, if you had the money, would you buy a BMW 335i or a Maserati Quattroporte GT S? I would definitly chose for the Quattroporte. But Germans don't really understand that, so i won't bother explaining. And don't start about petrol prices, if you can spend 160.000 euros on a car, you won't bother if it's a bit thirsty.

ps. This cars top speed is btw, 285 km/h... and the 335i does 250

There is just something so 'wrong' sounding about that engine coupled to an auto slushbox. And it is a slushbox. I've only driven someone elses one for a few minutes but the box is rather ponderous, and the paddle shifters are a waste of time because the shift time is so slow. Its not a Ferrari F1. But it is one of the classiest ways to haul four doors around at speed :-) And the exhaust is just beautiful. The Sport button is pointless - I'd just glue it ON permanently :-)

well, we are talking 2 different cars then. your 2007 GTS is pre- restyiling model and probably with duo select shift gear(but could be automatic too). not the 440 hp automatic 2009 model of this video.

regarding your question I would go definetely for maserati. i had them both and maserati is much much more fun to drive. more styilish too.

Porsche cayenne turbo also drives 2/2,5 km with 1 liter of petrol. with maserati you run around 7 km per liter.

Whats the problem with the suspension and gearbox? The suspension are from Bilstein and the gearbox are in Porsches PDK-trany class. The only real difference is that the GTS version got an automatic transmission mode.
