  • @GordonFreemanD40 Only a bunch of Orion VIIs we see everyday carry 36/38 people in Toronto, it's like carrying more than 39 people on an average 40 foot bus. 60 foot Articulated buses carry like 55-62 passengers with or no crush loads. Routes 32 and 39 are your example pal.

  • More Than 80 Passengers? Big Lie!

  • I work for NewFlyer... interesting to see other production methods... each step is a bit different for us... our whole frame is treated for anti corrosion, not just the underside... and we have bragging rights on the first low floor design... There's intersting things coming up in design... watch for it!

  • @gdhillier lol you guys probably invented the LF bus.

  • @gdhillier and your frames aren't stainless steel, because Toronto won't buy them.

  • Super anti-corrosion stainless steel for the frame, yay !

    Plywood subfloor. Wtf ???

  • Toronto is getting Nova Artics in the future.

  • Water test = cleaning bus

  • Stainless steel = heavy Aluminum = light, and it has the same qualitys at a lower price, but not the same strength :/

  • what up, bender?! 0:42

  • I wish cars had that much anti-corrosion care...

  • thanks

  • do buses have 4WD or just 2 wheeled ??

  • @balloonq Buses have 6 wheels, 2 of them on front axle and 4 of them on the rear one. They use rear axle for drive.

  • Mmmm rotissare bus

  • I work on the Nova bus and think the one piece windshild is not a great idea. 3 guys to change it, also the stainles steel is rusting around all the welds. Without Nova I would have not have any overtime. Keep on making crap Nova.

  • I heard from many drivers of the Novas that its like sitting in a terarrium too what with all that sunshine exposure. Without a/c its hotter than Haities in there ???

  • @zcrcivic well u have a job so it cant be all bad.

  • @zcrcivic That's why we have Gilligs out here in south Florida, built in the USA.

  • Fantastic video. The unibody (more like uniframe) surprised me. I always thought these were body bolted to rolling chasis.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GETTING THIS!!! I have been dying to see this episode! Do you know if they have one about elevators?

  • Think they did, but I can't remember too well.

  • I hear that NovaBus won't be making buses in America anymore. Is that true?

  • @8v71buses Last year, they opened a factory in Plattsburgh, New York.

  • @westlock Thanks for the info

  • Amazing video! It's fun to watch

  • go trains ftw

  • We have one of these busses in Toronto... the 1001 Nova LF.

  • Had you mean

  • hey these buses are in Laval quebec canada

  • shitty as nova

  • Its a 3rd Generation Gillig Phantom

  • The Gillig Phantom was discontinued in 2008. Gilligs Low Floor is technically th Low Floor but its commonly called the Advantage. This bus in the video. Is the LFS from Novabus. I would like to see how a New Flyer is built.

  • You're wrong Richard, it's a 2004(2nd gen)LFS.

  • @Autobus08

Hey! I've been on 20401! LOLZ

  • @BusBoyCRHS It's an RTL bus.

  • No, that's a 1st Generation of a NOVAbus.

  • Is this a next-gen Novabus LFS?
