put that knife sheath under abuse and it shows its true quality it gets soft and flapy like and the inside of the belt loob gets torn all up if u use a pistelbelt with it and it wont hold the knife in there with out the strap around it uther than that the knife its self is outstanding and would recomend it to any outdoors inthousist i would go to sog or somewhare and get a kydex sheath and its easy to mess up the hand gard if u hapen to strike a limb or what not it will ben and brake
nice review, but personally the sheath is crap, because if you want to secure your knife in the sheath without the hand guard on it wont hold very well.
Yeah this a very awesome blade, I own one, can use for anything, accept stabbing, the back serration makes it very difficult to pull out of whatever it is you stabbed, thanks for the review!
When mine arrives, I'm gonna machine me a thicker, meaner D-guard. Something I can ram into an attacker's face if he gets in to close or if the blade ever breaks. The Sog guard doesn't look sturdy enough to really mess up some meat.
the back or spine of the blade has scallops running dwn the T-E 01 has a smooth back,,,and the T-E 02 which is shown here has the scallops ,,cool knife hope its a good performer

Im looking into getting 1 its probably the only knife i,ve seen with a hand guard that i actually do like, how has your knife been holding up so far is my question thanx
Hello, can you make a video of your hand or a sunglasses as a size reference? and a Weigh scale please, I'm looking forward to get one of these, but I don't know how big is it and how heavy is it. Thanks Buddy!

Your review is very well done. If you would not mind, could you please take a look at the knife's edge, and give me an estimate to it's thickness. I have been told it is a modified 'sabre-grind', which in experience results in a V-like shape. Also, I would be interested to know what you have used the knife for, in so far, and how it has held up and performed. Thank you. Dark Seraphane
I am interested in buying either this or the SE37-K SOG Knife, and I was wondering, is it possible to easily remove and re-attach the hand guard and the defensove tip?
The only other difference that I can see from the pics is that this knife is two inches longer. Are there any other differences?
it all depends on the type of cutting you will be doing if you will be cutting thick or hard wood then i would go with the tigershark it wouldn't be very good at carving but the waight helps it cut but if you are going to cut thiner wood then i would go with th seal pup but this wouldn't be good at delimbing trees or chopping logs hope this helps any further questions please ask
Yesterday I recieved the Tigershark 2.0 TE-01-N and today this one the Elite TE-02.
Both of them are very nice indeed. At first I was i favour for the TE-02, but now I'm not so sure. The TE-01 with its powercoated grey blade is a littlebit nicer. Solid knives with outstanding grip and feel. Nice feeling having one in each hand and holding them both at the end of the handle (resting on the handguard. The reach you get is impressive. Allmost like having two mini swords hehe.
My only sore point is the sheath. The first time I withdrew the blade it felt flimsy and there was absolutley no retention. After my first bush outting, the sheath began to unstitch itself. Love the knife, hate the sheath. I just wish they had made a kydex sheath for it. I'd pay an extra $50 for a decent sheath.
Ur arms!! Ghost..

I have one very cool knife, but I wish that you could order a better hand guard, like one that looks like brass knuckles

@DarkSeraphane i have reprofiled my edge to 22 degrese but my guess is that it would have been 1.5 milimeters
i have used this knife for chopping wood, opening c can of beans, cutting rope abd killing and skining a pig
it performed extremely well in all tasks and i have yet 2 re sharpen it even after opening the tin
hope this helps

@JakobsAccount the hand guard is verry easy to remove and the defencive tip needs a bit of force but can be easily done
the only other defrence between this knife and theseal team is that it doesn't have any holes in the blade
hope this helps

If you ever get your hands on the SOG Vulcan folder, please put up a review for it. I have one, and it is absolutely awesome.
