@c3section Back about 4 or 5 years ago,The Red Green Show came on the PBS stations.It is truely the funniest do-it-youself(with duck tape) comedy show ever.This show is even funnier that McGuiver ever was.If you live in an area where you can get a PBS station,try calling them every day and just maybe they will put the show back on in the states and take the Opera and the suspence stories off. This is a great primetime show if the other junk thats on isn't clean enough to watch with children.

It's not a laugh track. I was at a taping of the Red Green Show. Between takes of scenes in studio they should us bits, like this that they did outside and recorded our laughter with microphones hanging over the audience seating.

Yep. It was live (or played to a live audience) pretty much for the 13 year history of the program (first season w/ CHCH-TV; second w/ YTV; seasons third through six with Global; and with CBC from season seven on.)

Red Green's predecessor shows (most notably Smith & Smith) had canned laughter. Which was silly when - during his early Red Green skits - the tech people and cameraman laughed loudly underneath the canned laughter.
