She wasn't in her prime, but in many ways the show worked better with her age. Perhaps a little more desperation and urgency to "rejoin the human race."
SIDE NOTE: Carol has a "Bible" which has every move in the show in it---it's amazing to look at---moves, character thoughts, etc. I read it during rehearsals,but never asked her who put it together for her and when.
This is amazing. Carol Channing is a legend. Thank you for posting.

she's phenomenal but she is NOT the greatest in the scene. She should have doen the movie--Babs did nto cut it as dolly!

@delidude1999 They chose Barbara over Carol. (Not to mention besides the normal way Carol says things, she is I believe—76 here.)
