for drop shot you use circle hooks? also can you send me the link to the video you talked about at the start of the video when you said ty to the video that made drop shot so easy please?.. Thank you Steve :P
@Moyniac Now I think you need to learn to use the YouTube search which is at the top of every page.
Which video was I referring to? Don't know: it was one year ago.
But if YOU put the words 'drop shot casting' (which describes what you want) into the YouTube search, you'll find some very nice videos to learn from.
Note what I state at the start of this video: I was experimenting. Uncle Steve is a rebel: he tries everything to decide for himself, what is B.S and what "works."
hey ucle steve i have some advise instead of using size 6 octopus ook use a size 2 or 4 mosquito hook and a zoom tiny fluke and u will get many more hook ups
In 1966 I was in Slovenia for a couple of days: came up the pass from Klagenfurt to Ljubljana (stayed at university dormitory) and then went to Italy via Trieste.
Nice. Check out Jackall Flick Shake Worms. Perfect for and without a drop shot. If you ever make it up toward Fontana send me an email VIA YouTube. I'll put you on to some big bass as well as crappie, walleye, cats, and steelhead!
@adamitshelanu You probbaly already know by now but if u dont a good way to tell them a part is to rub your index finger around in the bottom of there mouth if it feels like sandpaper it is "Mr. Spotted Bass"if u dont feel anything its "Mr.Largemouth Bass"
Hey uncle Steve nice vid! 150 as of right now the stripped bass are hitting cut bait or blood worms. For basses, spotted are usually caught around 150 to McGuire nuclear plant on lake Norman. I've caught a 23 in 5lb largemouth on a different part if Norman though
uncle steve, you are accurately identifying the fish as largemouth, however i am hoping you are not confused with the tooth patch thing. there will be a visible green patch near the tip of the tongue itself on spotted bass, largemouth's SHOULDN'T have any at all. If i see a video of yours where you actually did catch a spotted bass, i'll be sure to let you know. keep it up.
You probably mean like this demo: Circle Hook Dynamics /watch?v=0-gk9-IXTjw
See my comment on that video.
Notice the mass of the rubber model. That's not very close to simulating bream or chubs. Also that model does not account for the mouth structure of a bass (parallel ligaments of cartilage).
My underwater vids suggest to me the possibility that people may be mis-imagining (assuming) what is happening. :^)

Uncle Steve, try putting your weight a little closer to your worm. Try 10-12 inch, see what that does for you :)

Oh I also have a spotted and largemouth bass in my pond, I'll catch em and make a vid for ya to show the difference between the two
NomkuThoj 11 months ago
@NomkuThoj A vid that does show the differences ("landmarks") between the two species would be very nice for us people here further east in NC.

@BazznHokie yep: remember that sometimes the videos are out of time sequence. :^) but all videos are on broadcast "delay" (well, usually).
Do you think there are spotted bass to be caught at the Marshall Steam Plant on NC150 on Lake Norman?
adamitshelanu 1 year ago
@adamitshelanu Yes

You can still look in the mouth to find the teeth but it would be easier to feel if there is any teeth.

@LandThatFish Not sure about the question.
