  • yay Canada! Reppin' the Great White North, I love the little flag on his chef's jacket^^

  • i like morimotos voice and accent . the voice they used for him was nothing like it .

  • I can't afford any of this....

  • "whos cuisine reigns supreme" his rhymes are delicious.

  • i miss fuku-san

  • @JimAsian1 I agree completely. Also Alton Brown has the worst pronounciation for Japanese ingreients and names. -____-"

  • mark dacascos

  • marimoto is one of the most original chefs out there.

  • Ale cuisine!

All of his spittle added to the crabs.

  • FEANIE

  • Today's secret ingredient is..... CRAB!!!

  • R

I really wish they would stop dubbing over Morimoto Masaharu's voice. It's insulting and disrespectful for him. The only way I'd condone it is if Morimoto Masaharu himself said that's the best why to present his speaking. Other than that, It's very insulting that Foot TV does that. If they're going to do something like that, at least subtitle it, but don't voiceover his voice.

  • @JimAsian1 agreed! i can understand him just fine! the world can have bobby flay...it's not even close..chef masaharu morimoto all day for my american ass!!

  • @SXI1001 I think he's an actor. I forgot what movie he was in, but it might be "The One" with Jet Li. I could be wrong though.

  • Wait a second, Crabs being boiled alive and no PETA?

    ಠ_ಠ Thank you

  • @Trollinrollin

I'm no PETA member, but even I was a little disturbed when they just started hacking at them with a knife

  • damn the host is a crazy samauri or something

  • You have to butcher the veal loin yourself?! you'd think they would have it ready extracted for you......... they may aswell have them hunt the deer too xD

  • chef ramsey would get OWN by Flay

  • definitely my favorite battle, looovee rob feeny.. i'm from vancouver, and he's fabulous.

  • Since we're both from Vancouver, here's a question. Name another chef/s from Vancouver you would like to see on Iron Chef? My picks are Hidekazu Tojo, Vikram Vij and Frank Pabst. What are yours?

  • Pino Lulongo One Of Vancouver's 3 amigos@eugene680

  • I'm From Vancouver And i have Eaten at Feenie's Before he was Bought out By His Partners his food was sublime He is a damn good chef

  • 9 dislike = vegetarian :p

  • konyak is not a vegetable

  • Feeheeheeeeenie

  • So is there just a big fridge/pantry that the chefs and their helpers grab ingredients (other than the secret ingredient) from?

  • @xTwistedLovex

Also, what would happen if one of the chefs were to get injured?

  • they dubbed morimoto even though he's speaking english lol

  • loos amooooooooo!!!

  • if i dont see fried crab legs wrapped in seaweed then morimoto aint leaning toward america at all

  • CRAAAB!!! >:)

  • CRAB BATTLE!

  • gordon ramsay is the version of chuck norris of kitchen....

  • :( oh nooo the crab...

  • So Hungry :-0

  • Poor crabys

  • SUCCUENCE

  • Enough with the complaints about the original version already. A lot of American viewers haven't seen the Japanese series so there's no need to F---king call for agreements.

  • Morimoto hardly anyone picks him but they pick Bobby and Cat why they know they might win with theses chefs but Morimoto he the BEST!!!!!..If i was a chef i love to be just like Morimoto!!

  • CRAB! :)

  • i'd only ever seen the original series. i barely recognised morimoto with the long hair. this version really does suck in comparison.

  • ramsay fucked alll iron

  • i hate iron chef america. the guys who do the dub of the announcers in iron chef japan is just soooooo much better.

  • @fuyukazemi - Uncooked crab meat will not spoil any quicker than any other fish if it's properly stored. Fish markets sell frozen lobster tails and shrimp, for example.

Live cooking has to do with oxygen content in the flesh. Once a crab or lobster dies, oxygen leaves the flesh very quickly and this results in a loss of fullness and texture of the meat.

  • we need an iron-chef-america-the-series-the-game

  • Wow... everything just sounds better when Mark Dacascos says it... I don't I've ever heard the word "crab" sound so awesome!!

  • The Classic Thrash, he's SUPPOSTED to be over dramatic. He's making fun of how they do it in Japan XD

  • It sucks that everybody always cooks lobsters and crabs alive.

  • @landovers You have to cook them live. When they die you have to cook them like within 30 minutes, it goes bad immediately, and can spoil to the point of food poisoning. That's why they are usually always alive. Least that's what I was told by a cook friend of mine.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Uhh hungry . . .

  • Ya buddy Vancouver represent

  • The host of this show totally SUCKS.

  • I came expecting epic battles involving giant grab monsters and chefs, got a bunch of fat guys cooking.

  • @IShallRiseAgain They would kick your ass.

  • damn i hate Alton Brown

  • aw yeeee vancouver!

  • morimoto is the best because he is from the original mater chef which is waaaaay better than this. but this show is more for entertainment value while iron chef japan it is really for honor and rivalry. i remember chef kadagawa which is a huge rival of iron chef michiba, he really wants to beat michiba he kept sending apprentice chef to beat michiba but i think out of ten only 1 of his apprentice beat michiba so finally he have to battle the iron chef himself.

  • is that stupid flip supposed to make him look cool? what a pathetic attempt to be as flamboyant as the japanese version

  • 2:48 today's secret ingredients (CRAAAAB!!!) wtf....

he rather say today's main ingredient @_@" is it secret? that they will use crabs? ^^

  • "And on Iron Chef Japan's side, there's been a horrible earthquake! Morimoto's sous chefs have been horribly wounded!!! The nuclear reactor core of his ovens are leaking radiation into the stadium!!!!"

    lol.

    What? Too soon?

  • hmm, gordon ramsey should go on this show and challenge an iron chef haha. That should be interesting.

  • @reaver34572 i totally agree. but he's too good already! he'll own them.

  • @reaver34572 absolutely. I would love to see the mayhem he brings.

  • @reaver34572 i'll totally watch that! but ramsay will prolly lose because he will be cussing out his assistants pissing them off causing them to leave his kitchen.

  • If so, who should Ramsey challenge and what should the secret ingredient be?

  • @eugene680 I think for that they should have Sakai come back for one night and have them go at it. For current ones, maybe have him take down Bobby Flay. As for secret ingredient, how about Great Lakes White Fish?

  • Imagine the secret ingredient is Trinidad Scorpion Butch T peppers. Who wants to be the judge for that? Who would want to cook with that ingredient?

  • @rileyjsg I don't think so. He'd probably have his top two chefs with him, which would mean they would actually know what to do and how he wants things done.

  • @reaver34572 I think I remember seeing Jamie Oliver on this at one point, that was pretty special.

  • @reaver34572 gordon would be englands iron chef

  • @imjjl Gordon's actually Scottish.

  • @setosgirl0 but he lives in england so he would be in englands iron chef - i dont think morimoto is from america?

  • @imjjl

No, Morimoto is from Japan, is also featured in the original Iron Chef in Japan.

  • @reaver34572 he'll fail

  • @reaver34572 Don't forget about Martha Stewart. ;)

  • @reaver34572 No guarantee that he would win since food is so subjective. It really does depend on who's judging.

  • @reaver34572 Ramsey would beat an Iron chef, not only because he's good but he has some of the BEST sous chefs I've ever seen, and that counts a lot!

  • eleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee kuiii sinn¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¿¿¿¿

  • I miss the iron chef chinese in Iron Chef Japan

  • @michelletian17 Iron Chef Chen

  • @michelletian17 I believe he´s Chen Kenichi

  • À la cuisine!!

  • itsy bitsy crabby crawling around the tables. watch out for their painful little claws. If your not careful you should be aware. There might be something missing and your not aware!

  • Last time I had a "Battle Crab" was after that night with a Tijuana hooker. Did not score high on the tasting.

  • it lacks the epicness that the Japanese has

  • CRAB BATTLE!

  • the begining cracks me up

  • @thedeafparrot no ones offended, its hilarious how serious they make it, and its meant to be slightly comedic, just enjoy the food

  • Saying that American cuisine is my personal favourite is like asking the genie for infinite wishes, American cuisine is a melting pot of Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Spanish etc foods with such awesome results

I live in Scotland btw, and in our supermarkets are ready meals of American theme: hamburgers and hotdogs, but to be honest its why i love it in the first place, its simple and honest grilled meats and vegetableswhich are cured, marinated and smoked accompanied by a garnish, beautiful :D

  • TheClassicThrash

They're attempting to make this as close to the original Japanese iron chef as possible which is also highly dramatic, they even have skits sometimes.

  • @I0wn3ey0u They failed miserably. I watched the original Iron Chef Japan religiously, I loved the show. The American version of this show missed the actual feel and style of the Japan version entirely. I never missed Iron Chef Japan, I cannot stand Iron Chef America and will change the channel whenever it comes on.

  • @Stiletos yeah but the asian one sucks because they only compete against other asians.

  • @lilsm555 No, they often got chefs from all over the world. One of the first episodes I ever saw had a famous chef from a hotel in France against one of the Iron Chefs.

I will admit they often got asian chefs to compete against the iron chefs, but at times they got world famous chefs from various areas of the world and ethnicities.

  • Yeah, me too. In ICJ, they show us an epic bio on why this person is a worthy challenger:

    - A master's top apprentice

    - Won many awards or medals

    - Unusual culinary skills (pasta making, use of oils, 3 different styles of cooking)

    - Who has the challenger cooked for

ICA shows none of that. Just the name, where they are from and name of restaurant.

  • Dude, Alton and me..we're like home-boys. We go way back...hanging out everyday, eating each others creations, telling jokes on our our way to the Fox....

Jk, but I so wish that were true...

  • Boiled alive. Yikes.

  • LOL these crabs aren't going out without a fight haha

  • i could kill that fuckin chairman and his overly dramatic faces

  • i'm so glad that i'm not a crab...

  • CRABS!

  • im from vancouver tooo

  • fe-fe-fe-feeeeeenie!

  • everytime at night they give this out i either get hungry or start eating xD

  • Where is the Alaskan King Crab? That's my favorite food ever! nothing fancy, just butter, lemon, a cracker and a bib. YUMMY CRAB!. Go Go Morimoto!

  • iron chef hamburger, iron chef deep fry, iron chef microwave

  • So much wasted pineapple lol

  • Lol that was hilarious when they where retrieving the crab

  • If you're a fan of Iron Chef and The Next Iron Chef, you've got to check out the composer for both of this shows: CRAIG MARKS.

Visit my youtube channel to find more info about him!

  • Morimoto's battle record is hardcore

  • Chef Morimoto vs Chef Feenie... both great Chef's thank's for uploading these video,, love to watch it....

  • Chef Morimoto vs Chef Feenie... both great Chef's thank's foruploading these video,, love to watch it....

  • CRAB BATTLE!

  • 3:47

    Morimoto - "Oh my goodness"!!!

    HAHAHA

  • the bald guy should just fuck himself

  • Comment removed

  • Oh god the poor crabs, the fact they are boiled or chopped alive makes me shudder in horror. What a horrible way to die!

  • lol i met feenie and not really a very nice man and a snobby guy

  • You mean he has a snobbish behavior? I've met him once but never really spoken to him. I hate it when someone thinks they're better than everyone else just because they won a pretigious title.

  • @eugene680 yup....u mean Prestigious title xD....well i guess all chef has their own Ego.

  • Yeah I do mean prestigious. Speaking of that, which would you rather have? Something luxurious like a custom-made 24 karat gold diamond ruby sapphire ring or something prestigious like the Stanley Cup ring and why.

  • @16kn yup....You mean - well I guess all chef(S) ha(VE) their own ego.

    lolol

  • Why isnt SNAKE one of the judges?

  • Ahh!!! he shaved his hair!!!

    THE CRABS ARE ALIVE!!!!

  • Ahh!!! he shaved his hair!!!

  • omg morimoto was an iron chef from the old episodes!! hes my fav!

  • hes BALD??????????????????????????

  • i actually take back what i said about judges being better on ICA than the original IC Japan. although educated food experts are great, this is special dishes for the common fan. it doesnt only matter how educated in food you are. when chefs dedicated their lifes work into their dishes for the king... the king wasnt no food expert? i appreciate how ICJ had artists, like singers, writers, photographers, and athletes as judges. as well as one food expert. which gives a more common perspective.

  • @swiffstep I agree with you. The judges here piss me off most of the time.

  • Since when is panacotta anything like a flan?

  • dont worry he gets to taste the food

    they dont show u that

  • the host is so sick

  • lol that mountain of crab is my haven XD my dream meal... a mountain of cooked crab oh yea... my fav

  • 0:54

  • 0:54

  • Our secret ingredient is...CRAB!! -.- not as dramatic as the japanese version :D

  • Weirdo.

  • This face is idiot face. . . .

  • fail

  • he is so dramatic

  • im not totally surprized feenie won. hes from vancouver so a crab battle is easy. i think morimoto underestimated him in this or held back for some reason.

moreover i also think morimoto would've lost if this was a salmon battle. but any other ingredient besides these two i think morimoto can dish out

  • @swiffstep No. The judges are just bunch of idiots who doesn't really know what good food is. They are just pretending that they know it.

  • @InUrFce i can agree with u but we know morimoto didnt go full out. thats why im not surprised feenie won. crab and salmon is the #1 seafoods in vancouver. and morimoto could've done better. just not this time. i would test feenie at other ingredients and see if he wins. some of the judges are better than the japanese version. less actors and artists, they are more educated in food. but culture is totally totally different.

  • 0:01

  • watching iron chef makes me so hungry.. the judges are lucky people. =)

  • And now America, I lay unto youin the words of my uncle, "I shaved my head"

  • morimoto is probably so glad that he doesn't have to run up those damn stairs anymore...lol

  • MORIMOTO!

  • And now America I iay unto you in the words of my uncle, "You go girl!"

  • the original chairman was the best

  • CHALLENGERU BENDERU!!!

  • Ya Canada!

  • The Chairman's so funny with all the martial arts... and he gets to eat the food the chefs make!!!

  • I don't like crabs cuz im allergic but... Ill still watch! GO GO GO

  • lol isnt the chair man in like star gate sg some thing????

  • haha chairman wih out hair looks like ang from avatar jus put a arrow on his head

  • 2:50.......CRABS lol ott epicness love it

  • Everyone chef is scared to battle Morimoto why hes the best!!

  • GO MORI! WOOOHH

  • this one is old...

  • LMAO, the other commentator just mumbled Morimoto's names while he was getting his crabs.

  • CRAB BATTLE

  • no, this is in season 1, she came in in either season 2 or 3...i think it was 2

  • @cazia9 Oh Ok. Thanks.

  • @cazia9 is iron chef america still ongoing? pls upload more! thanks.

  • I"ve never seen Morimoto on this show yet.

  • Yay! Morimoto!

  • iron chef japan ftw!!!!

  • poor crabs, i hope one of the chefs gets pinched lol

  • I feel bad for Alton and Kevin. They have to watch, smell and comment on the great food these chefs make. Then they don't get to eat any. HAHAHAHA

  • yeah that part's the worst, they should be at least be able to make themselves a plate of any thing that didn;t get used for presentation

  • @suchanjv Yeah I have so far only seen one battle where the chef made extra so that they could have some too. I'm sure they probably get to sample off plates or I hope they do.

  • @suchanjv Really? I feel sorry for Alton. : [

  • @suchanjv Odds are they do get to eat the food lol.

  • @suchanjv well, with their immense revenu, they can afford to eat like that every day =P

  • @suchanjv

I've heard that Mario Battagli always gives Alton a taste of what he's cooking though, I actually saw Mario give him some food in one epi too :)

  • @suchanjv i heard that some of the chef gave those two a taste specially batali..

  • @suchanjv im pretty they get to try the food....

  • @suchanjv they might get to after the show is taped.

  • @suchanjv Alton makes his own GOOD EATS.

  • @suchanjv Alton's like a well-trained dog who rarely gets a scrap of food from the dining room table!
