countinuin g the message below, Krypta is good if you battle non-rezistant foes, and fervus is good at balancing the scales in your favour, because , even if they are weak, they can charm creatures to be on your side. Also, the greater deities, Lunord and Helia add to your protection, Lunord`s followers patrolliong the city with amazing speed and Helia`s warrior women garrisoning guardhouses and having fire spells. Krolm is for advanced players, giving only dumb barbarians...

He is not using the right strategy. Rangers are good, but the first to-build buiulding is the marketplace. The Temple choice is also... not good. The Temple to Krolm is good only for experienced or very wealthy players, and you cant be wealthy without a marketplace  =). Temple to Agrela is usefull if you want more health, as they give healers and healing powers and plants for all heroes, Dauros is good if you want to battle many undead and large amounts of weak creatures.

Majesty was all around superior to Majesty 2 in every way apart from Graphics.

I mean you wouldn't say that Fallout 3 and Fallout 2 are pretty much the same, would you? Come on man, have you ever even played majesty gold on sandbox?

Man.. I remember playing Majesty back in the day with my cousin before I started to love halo and the xbox series. I used play on my cousin's old mac. I always loved the game, but my cousin lost it when he moved to his new house. That was back in the 90's ( I think) and I always missed playing majesty ever since. I'm thinking about buying majesty 1 on amazon for my 1995 pc.

@nesmtl its late, but sewers spawn as your settlement grows, the more buildings the more sewers. Build guard posts next to them to nullify them.

rogues may retreat a lot but they also steal moneys from lairs, and so quickly get a lot of money, the rogues guild itself is also good for helping other heroes by poisoning their weapons when upgraded to lvl 2

yea a rogues guild is a necessity in a good Majesty kingdom, not only will the supply poisons but in a proper lvl3 kingdom (with fairgrounds, lvl3BS, lvl2or3 market) a rogues guilds should be pumping out a good 1k gold per day and 1/2 give or take

Krypta rules! it's a must for maps that have alot of dragons, skeletons dodge everything

Also Helios(I think it's called) are good for fighting the stronger enemies, their tough and can heal themselves

u know u guys r totally forgetting the other temples i won many freestyle games with a krolm + Lunord combo the adepts would protect da city and the barbarians and rangers would go and kill the enemy buildings also rage of krolm is awesome its fun to see 1 barbarian take down a horad of goblins by him self

Duuh, skeletons are totally weak against just about anything (altho they have good defense against missiles) and Fervus cultists can't charm anything noteworthy. Dauros is totally worth it, Monks have high Resistance and they can instantly kill in one hit and Paladins... well, they are just plain awesome, best heroes you can recruit from Warriors Guild.

And the Healers? You have no idea how many times they've saved my Tax Collectors & Heroes :P

even if they are weak, they are an awsome distraction for your necromancers

if they are injured, the necromancer will give life to them

the fervus can tame almost half of the games monsters because half of them are nature! :P

Krypta + Fervus are way more cool than pacifist healers & goody-two-shoes paladins, that I admit, but in terms of raw power paladins are superior to Warriors of Discord (kinda shame, I really REALLY like WoD's).

But hey, if that's how you wanna roll then that's fine :P
