In the skit Kermit was holding the feather and Grover was sent to carry the heavy stuff. No they didn't sing a song. This was obviously spun from that old sketch.

You didn't miss much, though it was memorable when he gasped at seeing the long line of people waiting to sign his cast.

Well the only episode where I first saw him with the cast was when he told about what he could do even with it on.

That broken arm bit seemed to last most of that season. Not very memorable. It was around that time that Sesame Street jumped the shark for me in general.

Well, Elmo got hurt in other sketches besides this one. Also, Telly could have used his tuba to demonstrate heavy. Then again, he is able to lift a (fake) tuba.
