Wow, very strong words. I can’t help but feel that you have not had much interaction with Haitian culture or Haiti’s people. To write an entire culture off as “disgusting, violent and uneducated” is a bit much. If you knew anything about Haiti, you would know that child abuse and rape, though these are very serious issues that need to be addressed, do not define Haitian culture. The U.S. has a history of exhausting Haitian resources and taking advantage as well as instigating its weak political infrastructure. And, yes, given the already difficult start that Haiti had, I'm sure that the constant and equally devastating droughts, and hurricanes and bouts of epidemics have been no help either.

It is no coincidence that Haiti, the first black nation in the western hemisphere is also the poorest. Haitians had to pay the equivalent of 21 billion to France in reparations for "lost property" (ie. slaves and plantations). They only finished paying that in 1947. That debt was a hell of a way to start a republicDo not make light of the tenuous relationship between Haiti and the U.S.

@nivaldoable It's so that no one believes they are outside the realm of control of the church. If everyone believes they are a sinner everyone will obey the church. If some thought they were not sinners they would not have to follow their rules.

They will actually lean to the more self contolled believers point of view that is a lesson I always seem to teach to all athiests. Also who said I believe the earth is 6000 years old. As I said there are many branches of christianity united to serving god. I personally beleive that gods time is different from ours so when he noted in the bible the earth was created in 7 days he meant 7 ages in our time.

@nivaldoable If you believe the bible is the INFALLIBLE word of god, then you should believe the world is 6,000 years old. The bible tells us how many generations has passed before a known point in history, leading you to believe the known creation date of Earth. Potassium-Argon dating has disproved that though.

@nivaldoable - I'm not trying to persuade or get people on my point of view. People who have a certain kind of brain will be religious, same goes for atheists. There are those that waver in between, but that have to figure it out for themselves. They can find the facts and decide. Also, your "personal beliefs" on time or anything else that does not make sense in the bible is what "good Christians" do when they find an error in their Bible. God is such a jokester, isn't he?

@nivaldoable Notice how when there is an error in the Bible you take it as a metaphor, but when there is a metaphor you take it as being literal. So the altar of god is LITERALLY an altar to you, but since we know that 7 days story is BS we have to rationalize and turn 7 days into 7 ages. Guess god didn't do to well in school.
