Sikass bike broski! I wanted to ask u I know generally all bike hydrolic brakes there's no "centering" adj. knobs, would same thing apply for the caliper drum pistons compressing n not decompressing fully? Does that mean my brakes lines need to b bled?
@lstruggy You may want to just bleed them to be safe but if you are looking to center the brakes just loosen the caliper from the mount, compress the brake and tighten the caliper while you still have the brake compressed. This should center it more than any other way other wise I wouldnt stress to hard if you cant get it, a little brake rub never hurt anyone!
@camboi07 I think it ran me somewhere around $1000. Since this video I've replaced everything but the rear shock though. I've got another video of that rebuild.
@LAX13fish I had to do a slideshow since the videos werent compatable. You want a video of me talking while I do this? If so what should I talk about? Give me some feedback so I can make a better one of my new bike!!
@imjansd Really?!? Well you're in luck I know of a few! This one is a Velo/Origin 8 it runs $18-$20. DMR Void Slim is the one I would go with now, it runs a bit more bit it has killer graphics $45-$50. Last is a company named Blank they usually run about $20-$25. Hope this helps with your hunt!
@d240786 Its 1 1/8" but one thing you'll really need to pay attention to is the length of the steer tube if you buy a used fork, if its new it wont be cut yet. Hope this helps out!
@XR4MP4G3X Two thumbs up to you sir! Now just get yourself on it and do some riding :) P.S. You WAYYY overpaid too, for a 2011 shore 3 should have only been $2,000 at the VERY most. What components are on the bike?> Fork, brakes, crankset, derailleur&shifter?
@TheGromIsDead Congrats on building your own, thats the only way to do it in my opinion! I/m actually doing a rebuild on her right now, new fork, brakes, bar, grips, stem, pedals. make a vid to I'd love to see the progrssion of the build!
@therook1110 One question.. I have run into a snag. What size axel do you have on this? Right now i have a 150mm and its to short. I have found a 170mm. Am i going to need that?
@TheGromIsDead A 150mm width is to short? Are you sure your not trying to use a 135mmx10mm axel? You'll need to get a 150mmx12mm I'm almost 100% positive.
@therook1110 Hmmm, maybe my axel is a 140mm. It hard to measure. So you are running a 150mm by a 12mm? So a thru axel. Hmm, I dont want to go get a new rim, So i might just buy a 150mm axel and keep using it at 5 diameter. But when i measure my drop outs on the bike it comes out to 170mm ? Is the lower half of my rear swing arm bent outward or something?
@TheGromIsDead What bike did the wheel your trying to use come from? I'm running a 150mmx12mm on the rear of the bike. If it were bent you would see cracks in the paint/frame so look carefully over the frame. Measure the size of the dropout, not the width and see if you get 12mm. If you do then you'll need to use a 150mmx12mm but like I said I'm 100% positive its that size.
