Steve good to work you today. Like TMD said, i get the same feeling working you. Inspiring us hams to get out of the shack and the fact that you dont have to leave the radios behind, really cool stuff.
I'm someone who owes a lot to Wes W7ZOI and Doug W1FB. I bought their book "Solid State Design for The Radio Amateur" nearly 30 years ago, and it taught me a lot about electronics. Eventually, I wanted to know more, and left my job to move into a career in radio communications and electronics. I've been doing that for over 20 years now, and can thank Wes and Doug for teaching me and inspiring me.
I too am happy you got that qso with Wes and I agree with so many others that you have inspired me also since the beginning of your Youtube videos. Its been a great journey learning and enjoying along with so many others. Thanks Wes and Steve. 73
I once worked Wes on 40 CW while I was on a backpacking trip. It was indeed a thrill to work the guy who inspired so many of us to take our radios out on the trail.
Thanks Steve. Wes the "legend" has created a "Legacy" in you. Thanks Wes and Thanks Syeve for inspiring others. 73 OG - Perry (oh thanks to Rooster and Peanut too!)
What a thrill! Good to know he is not too busy with other things to get on the air and make some Ham's day. Truly a QRP legend. As you are becoming yourself there Goat guy ;)
What a neat QSO!!! And just think, 3 goats out in C.O. have that same effect on many other hams. I know I'll probably freeze up and get tongue tied if I am ever lucky enough to have Rooster or Peanut answer my call someday ;-)
Wow, that's cause for Goat Envy :).

It must be one of your most memorable QSO's to date. Wes is a bit of a legend in his own time.
