Everything we do affects the future, no matter how meaningless it SEEMS, an ant can't show it's future coz it seems so meaningless, it might affect life 1000 years later, and more.
Yes, and guess what, that ant could do either good or bad, so killing it does not automatically mean that a bad thing happened. Maybe that ant would've stepped in some nuclear waste that would've modified it's genetic code and it would've terrorized cities for ages to come.
As for your initial response to my comment, I think you misunderstood again. I'm not saying that we are blaming aliens, because that would just be plain silly. I'm saying that we shouldn't blame ourselves, humans, for being human. We are made to make mistakes. It's impossible to learn without making those mistakes. Sure, some of those mistakes can lead to greater evil doings, which we should avoid as much as possible, but no one is perfect.
Dang it, the comments got a little messed up. Whatever, the placement doesn't matter. As I said, we shouldn't think of ourselves as terrible beings, not deserving of even so much as existence. Instead of complaining about how things are, lets work to make them better.
Oh-oh... This is reality m8, that's what we do. The only real predator of humans are humans. The System we're in is a slowly dying system, no matter what we do it'll go on. We'll die with time.. only about 100 years left I should say.. and then bye-bye system, bye-bye humans!
Well... Does it really matter if we learn or not? As far as I know we are illusions in a "real world" that i call a dream :-). Of course it would be nice that we live like animals and all but you know... that will surely won't happen with this humanity. Btw, do you really think we're gonna start again and again? well not on this planet fa sure, it's already too much fucked, look at Asia, mostly China and India. The cause we're slowly dying is the system. It just can't work.
I mean look, if we cant think, see, hear, feel (touch), smell... Then what are we? Illusions in a dream called "reality" which, in the end is a nightmare (Ah-Oh!)
Alright, but do you think we're the only ones in the universe with this problem? Should you really go ahead and think that we as humans rightly bear the blame of worst life forms in existence? What if we come across other sentient life forms that are making much more of a mess of their planet(s) than we are? What then?
The way I see it, the more we advance, the more possibility for BOTH good and evil. We need to keep a good balance of the two. Some evils are necessary, as they are often the reason for technological advancement.
good and evil is bullshit... oh Mr. croc murdered human with big evil intentions!
Right... let me change that into : human killed croc with good intentions, making a world a better place.
Makes a damn big change when human kills croc huh? So no, evil and good does not exist, no matter your intentions. If I shot a civilian, would I be evil? if I stamped on
Depends on whether you meant to step on the ant or not. If it was an accident, then you're not evil at all. However, if you wanted to see it writhe in pain, then sure, that's a bit messed up. But even then, you have to look at what you did. You killed an ant. Is the entire WORLD going to be affected by this act?
What difference will the death of one of these creatures, who are able to mass reproduce in extremely small periods of time, and whose total weight on this planet outweighs that of the humans by a ratio of ten to one?
Hmm.. humans count as 6 billions of people, I believe much more of the numbers of most animals. Life is senseless in overall, we make sense of it by our goals and all, but "evolution" is just a round about, if I'd kill everyone on this planet, what would be the difference? Nothing at all, we're as meaningless as the others, although if we want to survive, the food chain must be intact. I'll tell you a story too, sry no remaining characters
Lets say we find a way to go back in time, a bunch of people decide to see how life a million years ago looked like with all the dinosaurs etc... So hurray, they're there, they get out of their space time box, the first mistake is that they stepped on the ground, where they shouldn't have been, second mistake is that they put a butterfly in a jar, which should of given birth to caterpillars, then they go back year 2100. Everything changed, Hitler won the war etc, De Gaule never existed.
Please, you don't want to get me started on time travel. Let's just say that time travel is IMPOSSIBLE, and even if it were, if we did go into the past with the dinosaurs, etc, as you described, and did all of what you mentioned, we wouldn't come back to the same universe. We would be in a parallel one, where the future indeed has changed due to our actions in the past, but the space-time continuum has branched off, because we are now in a different 'present'.
You and I would still be here, but the scientists that went into the future would never make it back to our time. They would be gone forever, and we would continue to live in OUR time and OUR universe with everything unchanged, (except the disappearance of the said scientists).
stop escaping my bloody points! Of course they would be in a parallel world, although everything we do, no matter how meaningless it seems, can change everything in the future.
KLUSTERIZER : What difference will the death of one of these creatures, who are able to mass reproduce in extremely small periods of time, and whose total weight on this planet outweighs that of the humans by a ratio of ten to one?
GovernementblindsU : No matter how meaningless an animal can seem, how pointless it's life seems, it can change all the future.
Everything we do affects the future, no matter how meaningless it SEEMS, an ant can't show it's future coz it seems so meaningless, it might affect life 1000 years later, and more.
KLUSTERIZER:
Yes, and guess what, that ant could do either good or bad, so killing it does not automatically mean that a bad thing happened. Maybe that ant would've stepped in some nuclear waste that would've modified it's genetic code and it would've terrorized cities for ages to come.
Exactly! We can't change what has happened, and what is to come is just part of our future. The effects of an action may take ages to actually come about. And when they do, we don't know if they will be good or bad. So what is the sense in worrying about them? We should focus on the here and now, and how we can be more productive members of society. We should perform actions that, short-term or long-term, will have positive impacts on our world.
I'm guessing by Mr. croc you mean a crocodile? What makes you think a crocodile has good intentions? There is something very big that separates us from animals, (also referring to your ant comment). Humans have a cerebral cortex, and animals do not. That means that logic does not exist for them. They do things strictly out of their nature and instincts that were coded into their genetic structure. They are not able to think, process, or build nearly as much as we are capable of doing.
That is why it is not the animals which built the great world which you see before you today. The world which everyone these days takes for granted. The world which has provided us with so many of the facilities that we use every single day of our lives. Humans are solely responsible for this. If it weren't for our technological and philosophical thoughts and achievements, there would pretty much be no reason for us to live. As it is today, we live for several reasons: to live, learn, and grow.
we live to live? hahahahahahahaha, go live in a fucking cave all your fucking life, with no one with you other than food, water, we don't live to live. We live to share our existence, depends with people, I live to share my existence even though I have other goals.
That's what was meant there. If I told you to define life, could you? I don't mean the Websters definition, I mean what you really think your purpose here on this world is. Everyone thinks they were put on this Earth for different reasons, and that reason is their life. If you read just a little more and saw ALL of my comments instead of thinking that you caught me because I said we live to live, you would see a follow up comment explaining the "live to live" phrase.
I totally agree that we live to share our existence, but that is most certainly not the only reason, nor is it the most important by far. For what is the point of sharing our existence if if we have nothing to show for it? No pal, we live to MAKE something of our existence, so that when we do show it, we don't appear like brainless morons that spew profanity for a living, as if they were raised without any culture whatsoever.
no point in arguing with you mister Klusterizer. You're wise, but we have 2 very different point of views. I wish you a very happy life as you know it, stop escaping the facts btw, thank you very much goodbye.
What is your point? What are your facts? You never answer my questions in full and even then you don't focus your answer on the question. Listen, I am not here to prove people right or wrong. I am just here because some things were said against the human race. The human race is what it is. If you don't like it, then stop complaining and do something about it. You, yes YOU, believe it or not, can do something to change humanity if you really wanted to.
You don't get it do you? I'm saying you have no point. You're not saying anything anymore. You're talking about the impact of crushing an ant after you just said the entire human race is meaningless. Maybe to people like you, but to the ones that wish to serve a purpose, that wish to see what this world, this entire universe has to offer, the human race IS their life.
Wow. Either you're accepting what I said and taking it into consideration like a real man would, or you're just going to post pointless comments comprised of gibberish just to get the last word. I sincerely hope not the latter. Look, there is no shame in losing an argument and admitting you're wrong, as long as you take what was said and truly learn from it. The true shame comes when you deny that you're wrong when deep inside you know the truth.
It's gibberish for you if you want it to be, you're only saying it's shameful just so I can consider your speech and learn from it, no need to tell a sheep tha
Deep inside I think you're a scum, don't take it personally otherwise you'd be a real scum for believing you're a scum coz someone told you that. Of course what you say is right, on some point of view, I think some of your thoughts are wrong to the reality. But you believe what you wanna believe.
I'm not here to save humanity from myself, I'm gonna make MY, yes MY, world a better place, for MY, yes MY world. How selfish it might seem, I am what I am.
How quickly people start hating those that try to teach them something when they don't want to be taught, but just want to believe that they know everything. So pretty much you admit that you don't care about the rest of the world because you think everyone else doesn't, even after you clearly met someone who does. Okay. Good luck trying to make YOUR world a better place when you don't want to do anything to aid the REAL world.
yeah yeah yeah heard it all before, dude I do care for some people and all but I'm something called an "individual" guy. I care for the ones I wanna care. I don't wanna fucking learn something I don't need to learn you stupid american-christian monk.
LOL! You think I was born here? You think I'm religious?! Wow! After all the scientific talk we had I thought you would at least be smart enough to realize that I'm an atheist. That doesn't mean that I don't care about humans though. I'm finding it very hard not to criticize your intelligence with derogatory remarks, but you are making it all the harder.
you really don't get it do you? you ACT like one, saying this path is the right one etc... bashing peoples head with books, yeah totally you, you take insults too realistic. Go on, who's stopping you from criticizing my intelligence? you just want to seem smarter, coz u say that criticizing isn't smart? lol.
Stop using my phrases. Obviously you don't get it. Say whatever you wish, the truth still remains and you know it. You said yourself that you had no point and you're still talking. I don't want to prove that I'm smarter than you because the answer is obvious just from the stupid things you say. I like to take into consideration the constructive criticism from other intelligent people. It's how I learn to be a better human being.
lol it does not matter if you believe in science or any religion, if you are religious or atheist, you are the same, you felt in the same trap, what about if someone owns the democratic party and republican, what about if someone invented science and religion, what about that? you are not different both are the same
Oops I misunderstood your comment, sorry. It's our planet and we can't blame some aliens for destroying our planet right? a dog lives with what it has. It doesn't go blame another dog for what it has not. If we humans as the ones which are making the most mess on this planet is because of the system we have got in. It doesn't matter if it's satisfying or not for us, it doesn't matter if the world is doomed or not. Some people hate the system and gotta live with it or else as a hermit.
we live with what we have and we "can't" pass the blame to somebody else. Surely there might be some other life form fucking around more than we do. So what? it's not with that that we're gonna go to mars in the 100 years left. I doubt so much that we can go there for two simple reasons : we can't do noa's arch and cary all of the beautiful animals to mars. Since we know about 1/3 of the species in water, and 1/2 of the ones on ground, and lots of 'em have died off.
No, I'm positive that we can go to Mars at this current point in time and in fact we could've done it years ago. We don't need to put animals there right off the bat. What we need to do is start putting florar bases there, preferably with cyanobacteria, as they don't aerobic conditions to produce oxygen, although they do perform photosynthesis. In fact they were responsible for turning the Earth's atmosphere into a stable one, making it possible for the Earth to sustain life as we know it.
hmm u seem to know much about this thing BUT, where will we get the food mate? 6 billions, the number is growing, and we're already planning to go on mars, no we can't SURVIVE.
We shouldn't all go there at once! You kiddin? Migration takes a while. When the colonials started expanding to the West, they didn't all rush over there at once. That would've been foolish. Fist a small group of people settled in, made towns and small cities, and then the larger quantities of people came in. Small steps friend. That's what it takes. And it sure as heck is better than no steps at all. It's that initiative, that first push to do something better that sets great things in motion.
That's not my point. But we will go where we shall. Mars ≠ Earth. Simple as that. Once you go to mars where will you get more food? from earth? so basically we're gonna multiply etc etc... lets say... 20 millions people on mars, that's a damn lot. So providing 20 millions + KGs in food per day, how u gonna do that?
Have you heard of terraforming friend? It's how we plan to make planets hospitable and life sustaining. That means that eventually we will have fertile soil on other planets, so that we can grow crops there, and thus have a larger food output for the human race. I'm not just talking about Mars here, because that is no challenge. If we make the effort, Mars can easily = Earth, as it already has water on it. That is by far the biggest problem, and it is already solved for us.

I sincerely hope not the latter. Look, there is no shame in losing an argument and admitting you're wrong, as long as you take what was said and truly learn from it. The true shame comes when you deny that you're wrong when deep inside you know the truth.

It's gibberish for you if you want it to be, you're only saying it's shameful just so I can consider your speech and learn from it, no need to tell a sheep tha

that it's a sheep

Deep inside I think you're a scum, don't take it personally otherwise you'd be a real scum for believing you're a scum coz someone told you that. Of course what you say is right, on some point of view, I think some of your thoughts are wrong to the reality. But you believe what you wanna believe.

I'm not here to save humanity from myself, I'm gonna make MY, yes MY, world a better place, for MY, yes MY world. How selfish it might seem, I am what I am.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
Oh darn, I knew it was gonna be the latter...

KLUSTERIZER 3 years ago
you really don't get it do you? you ACT like one, saying this path is the right one etc... bashing peoples head with books, yeah totally you, you take insults too realistic. Go on, who's stopping you from criticizing my intelligence? you just want to seem smarter, coz u say that criticizing isn't smart? lol.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
Stop using my phrases. Obviously you don't get it. Say whatever you wish, the truth still remains and you know it. You said yourself that you had no point and you're still talking. I don't want to prove that I'm smarter than you because the answer is obvious just from the stupid things you say. I like to take into consideration the constructive criticism from other intelligent people. It's how I learn to be a better human being.

Obviously since you want to be a miserable snake then this doesn't apply to you.

lol it does not matter if you believe in science or any religion, if you are religious or atheist, you are the same, you felt in the same trap, what about if someone owns the democratic party and republican, what about if someone invented science and religion, what about that? you are not different both are the same

Maybe, but if other life forms are making a mess of this world it's because of us.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
Oops I misunderstood your comment, sorry. It's our planet and we can't blame some aliens for destroying our planet right? a dog lives with what it has. It doesn't go blame another dog for what it has not. If we humans as the ones which are making the most mess on this planet is because of the system we have got in. It doesn't matter if it's satisfying or not for us, it doesn't matter if the world is doomed or not. Some people hate the system and gotta live with it or else as a hermit.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
You know, the one in which you physically live?
KLUSTERIZER 3 years ago
we live with what we have and we "can't" pass the blame to somebody else. Surely there might be some other life form fucking around more than we do. So what? it's not with that that we're gonna go to mars in the 100 years left. I doubt so much that we can go there for two simple reasons : we can't do noa's arch and cary all of the beautiful animals to mars. Since we know about 1/3 of the species in water, and 1/2 of the ones on ground, and lots of 'em have died off.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
No, I'm positive that we can go to Mars at this current point in time and in fact we could've done it years ago. We don't need to put animals there right off the bat. What we need to do is start putting florar bases there, preferably with cyanobacteria, as they don't aerobic conditions to produce oxygen, although they do perform photosynthesis. In fact they were responsible for turning the Earth's atmosphere into a stable one, making it possible for the Earth to sustain life as we know it.

hmm u seem to know much about this thing BUT, where will we get the food mate? 6 billions, the number is growing, and we're already planning to go on mars, no we can't SURVIVE.
governementblindsU 3 years ago
We shouldn't all go there at once! You kiddin? Migration takes a while. When the colonials started expanding to the West, they didn't all rush over there at once. That would've been foolish. Fist a small group of people settled in, made towns and small cities, and then the larger quantities of people came in. Small steps friend. That's what it takes. And it sure as heck is better than no steps at all. It's that initiative, that first push to do something better that sets great things in motion.
KLUSTERIZER 3 years ago
That's not my point. But we will go where we shall. Mars ≠ Earth. Simple as that. Once you go to mars where will you get more food? from earth? so basically we're gonna multiply etc etc... lets say... 20 millions people on mars, that's a damn lot. So providing 20 millions + KGs in food per day, how u gonna do that?
governementblindsU 3 years ago
Have you heard of terraforming friend? It's how we plan to make planets hospitable and life sustaining. That means that eventually we will have fertile soil on other planets, so that we can grow crops there, and thus have a larger food output for the human race. I'm not just talking about Mars here, because that is no challenge. If we make the effort, Mars can easily = Earth, as it already has water on it. That is by far the biggest problem, and it is already solved for us.
