  • And yeah sorry of my bad English :D

  • so....can you download from zune thing free music or did i just had a dream???And keep that reviewing! You are good of that :) And please make video of nokia lumia 900 when you can ghos i will buy it when it gomes to the Finland and i need some information of that.Please...

  • Thank you for the excellent review.

  • So wait... Can you upload your own music and videos to that Zune thing or whatever?

  • @GeneralNerevarine You sure can.

  • @thenazgullord, STFU trolls!

  • with mango, did flash come with windows handsets?

    KEEP DOING A GREAT JOB!

  • is there going to be Copy & Paste on Mango?

  • Respond to this video... Copy/Paste support actually came out before the Mango update. So yes.

  • Lisa, you do the best reviews. Keep it up!

  • @Conner526 Thank you very much! Please share our reviews with your friends and family. ;-)

  • @itouchhelpr1 Yes, we are playing with Mango on the HD7S. It's really nice.

  • that os is CRAPPPPPPPP

  • am waiting for HTC 4.7 inch WP7 Super Phone !!!

  • all you can eat

  • hmmm so im confused, in this she said u plug in usb to computer yer, but you can't copy anything onto it, can you put music onto it? videos? docs? or absolutly NONE of that? and the ringtones, can you get ur own like it takes a while to do in iphone, or you can't in anyway possible? and does the bluetooth work with other phones? send and receive?

  • Hm there's no reason at all to get a WM7 phone. Android and apple phones are just better in almost every way...

  • @clouds5 wp7 just came out though so yea

  • @TheMike5478 yeah i'm sure WM7 will get there and i already like what im seeing. The interface is very good and thought out well.

But it still needs some time. And some more 3rd party support.

  • Great 2 part review. WP7 looks good, but I feel the same way as you.. At this time, it's not compelling and feature-rich enough to make me want to leave iPhone.

  • android is too fragmented. If Verizon comes out with a 4G LTE Windows phone 7 device, I'm in.

  • kind of ironic when i know that this was edited on a mac

  • the way i see it .. It's our own faults that microsoft disabled removable storage, bluetooth file transfer, ect. is (Most likely) that .. we exploit EVERYTHING about phones (Ex. HD2) this is just microsoft's way of saying "Don't mod our phones"

Not to say that this is an.. Effective method of trying to stop us, because it's going to happen. We don't NEED removable storage to mod (ex. iPhone)

I'm sure in the future they will add all of these features in later models and updates.

  • less quality, less bandwith, more data

  • can you get this phone without the service plan?

  • @dirtbagian Yes you can, but will cost you a leg or just $479.99.

  • Android is so much beter. Nokia is goind down whit windows phone seven.

  • Hi guy's, nice video.Just one quick question: can you transfer music and videos from PC to the w7 phone via a micro usb cable or bluetooth. Thanks!

  • @mausboy Mine came with a cable in the box, which I can use the Zune software to load music onto it.

  • could u have att servise with this phone ?

  • @stvloza Almost every other Windows Phone 7 is on AT&T actually. Samsung Focus is probably the best.

  • Awesome review but it is a Phone so it would be great to see that part of the phone.

  • iphone, and android also had missing features at release. nothing new

  • who the hell uses ringtones anymore??

  • @DonPBeast16 Surely you're joking. The ease with which I can identify a caller based on ring (when my phone doesn't need to be silent) is incredible. Not being able to have custom ringtones from my own library is incredibly stupid. I can put gigs of my own music on the device, but I'm stuck with the provider's lame rings or have to pay through the nose for custom tones through my provider? What is this, 2002?

  • is it worth getting or not if not which smart phone would you sujest

  • My HD2 has flash (:

    {AnDr0iD}

  • Does it have flash now?

  • great review

  • No flash !!!! NOT FOR ME!

  • can you transfer music from your computer using usb or not ?

  • Sending and receive files using bluetooth is not really recommended specially because late bluetooth phone doesnt support office .

  • i don't know, i still hate smartphones because they do not offer an ethernet port(in case wireless radio internet fails, u have another option to hook up 2 internet) or even one regular usb 2.0 so u can at least hook up an external device. i will just have to buy a regulare umpc with ethernet port.

  • @goohber1 ethernet on mobile phones kinda useless.. if u have ethernet connector there is possibly a pc or a a notebook. nearby besides having ethernet connector on your phones makes a little bit hard to move arround. and most of the internet modem has wireless transmitter.

  • Lisa, excellent job running down the OS/phone capabilities, good, bad, and ugly.

Compared to Windows Mobile 6...thought i see a bigger leap and didn't get it. Unfortunately, i live and die with Office Apps for my business and fear i,m stuck. Will look at Android.

  • this phone seems boring..its so simple..nothing really stands out about it..but this is a great review

  • Nice review with loads of useful info... Thanks for uploading

  • is there a way that u could turn it(the phone) in to spanish??

  • the phone sucks

  • @shawnypooh that's constructive...

  • loving the new 7, but multi task is where it is at for me. And in that department WebOs is king. Now my wife have been thinking of dropping her HTC hero, would the Windows 7 phone be a good up grade for her you think? She like WebOs, but hates a physcal keyboard (i know it's silly, but it is what it is).

  • @franticricky1 webOS has the best multitasking concept out of the box, but if you install an app like Visual Task Switcher or Itching Thumb on Android, it's almost as good.

Too bad webOS never took off, but at least there's Android now, which in some respects is even better.

  • I think they took a step back from the HTC HD2. I have the HD2 and I think I will stick with it.

  • if this phone had the android market and 4g video it'd be PERFECT iphone killer no doubt

  • @Xx9onelove23xX Just get an Evo if you want 4G and the Android Market ;-)

Android is much better than WP7 anyway.

  • @drphysx Android can suck WP7's dick. No way in hell Android is better.

  • @disbsam333 I like Windows Phone 7 but Android is better. Why? Because Android has basic features that Windows Phone is missing like multi-tasking, cut-copy-paste, etc.

  • @Snowintosh True, WP7 has to grow into its new OS, however there is no scrolling lag. I am a big Zune fan because of the OS, and WP7 has a really sexy as hell OS. Give it a few updates and Microsoft will definitely catch up.

  • @Snowintosh spec wise yes it is better

not trying to start an argument but it has way more features to it that windows 7 does

  • @Nightshade1881 Android is a lot better. I love Android.

  • @Snowintosh Think about it like this: Microsoft hit the UI nail right on the head, first try. It took Android the most of TWO YEARS to get a mildly acceptable (read: still relatively mediocre) UI.

Microsoft is missing a ton of features; most importantly, multitasking has yet to be announced.

If WP7 is a regular stiletto, then Android is a Swiss Army Knife (feature-wise).

  • @wdililn *Google

  • @wdililn really? I wished it had an individual icon for each shortcut... it looks so bland..blue BG white icon

  • @Xephirox900 It doesn't have to be blue . . . and I was referring to not only the icons, but the typography as well as the transitions/effects.

  • @Snowintosh android is 3 years old. Even iphone OS took like 3 years to have multitasking and copy paste. MS is doing really well in only a few month, best of all it doesn't lag like android. Give it time, you can't expect everything done in the first release.

  • @gxsau Windows Phone doesn't lagg because every Windows Phone has a 1 GHz processor. Android laggs when a phone a 528 MHz or a 600 MHz processor. Just so you know this is the seventh version of Windows OS on a phone Microsoft has released. I like Windows Phone by the way.

  • @Snowintosh It was coded from scratch, so it's correct to say it is new. Android lags even with tegra 2.

  • @gxsau Okay. That's true, they started from scratch because Windows Mobile 6.5 sucked. Android is not laggy on HTC phones like the myTouch 4G. I have it and it never laggs. Windows Phone 7 is amazing. I used a friend's HTC HD7 and it's amazing. I would change to Windows Phone if the HTC Mozart came to the US.

  • @Snowintosh dude....dont lie to urself....android lags. ok well, not so much lag as it is just not very smooth. but i agree about one thing, on SOME phones, its SURPRISINGLY freaking smooth (htc thunderbolt), others (droid x etc) lag like a bitch, or , excuse me, are not smooth at all.

  • will it be available in europe

  • Okaee wait ... this phone doesnt have Mass storage , so does that mean no syncing to PC ?

  • It felt like an adventure, a great one from ios, Thankyou.

  • I cant put music on it and have as ringtones?

  • Lisa,

HD7 is capable of 4G for T-mobile, its called HSPA+ (High-Speed Packet Access). its not availible in all locationgs. one more thing, its a 16GB not 8GB

  • @nvserg That's still not 4G...

  • @PoetryRocksGadgets 4G is good, where you can find it. hell in south florida you can find strong 3g in the city, but go a mile or two and 2g is all you have. at the end of the day the way i see it, if you got wifi then the phone is good.

  • @franticricky1 where in south florida do u live

  • please reply, can you not put music on this from your computer?

  • @colashanacogh you should be able to by plugging it in while Zune is running on your computer.

  • @JiGSaW918 so its basically the same as itunes for iphone? or is it not necessary to buy the songs through zune to put them on the phone? cause i have 1200 songs ripped from CD's

  • =/ I'm still stuck on Android or WP7.

  • @AfterThisShutUp same here!!!! i NEED wi-fi calling and no one can f**king answer me if this phone has it!!!! T-mobile said yes, but I see NOTHING about it online!!!!

  • Thanks:) Great review

  • good review, lisa. well done.

  • so will they put in a landscape keyboard??

  • What do you all think, I need advice: HTD HD7, T-Mobile myTouch 4G, or switch to At&t and go for the iPhone? I had the Iphone 3G at the beginning of the year and currently have TMobiles Motorola Cliq XT...btw I hate the Cliq and would NEVER recommend it! So, what's your advice people?

  • @Ryantravisaol screw iphone. mytouch is fine but hd7 is spectacular!

  • @dgreen305 I pretty much agree with you but what kills me is that you cannot connect it to your computer and put music on it. I know, I know...I should just buy an MP3 player but I feel like having two devices in my pocket, when I can just have one, is overkill and annoying. I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to this phone though so, maybe there are ways to get my MP3 files on there that I just don't know about. Also, I love pointless apps. Hows the app development for these phones, ya know?

  • @Ryantravisaol Um, you can put whatever songs you want on the device. The Zune marketplace is only supplemental. When you install the Zune software on your computer you can add all your existing mp3s (drm free) to the phone.

  • @animeXL No need for the sarcastic 'Um.' I did say I was ignorant to this phone. I do appreciate you clearing that up for me though and I actually like Zune better than iTunes so...that's a welcomed plus.

  • @Ryantravisaol I believe (from what I've read) is that there are a good amount of apps already. I'm sure the numbers will drastically increase once the phone is released in the United States. The iPhone didn't get hundreds of thousands of apps overnight...

  • @Ryantravisaol i'm on the same boat and have yet to make a decision. things i've put thought to: physical appearance | OS systems | contract/no-contract agreements. windows 07 looks very promising, though, minus one or two things. i think i'm more prone to it than any other OS, but there's a lot to consider. forget iphone, though: getting that means bargaining with the devil. hope i helped.

  • @carlosflorez I know what you mean! I have a droid phone and while I like the look of the OS better than 7, it's a lot slower and I just can't live with this anymore and I do like the iPhone but not switching for it.

  • @Ryantravisaol hard to say, but whtas most important to you

  • why no blue-tooth file transfer feature??

  • Copy and Paste & Custom ringtones in two weeks

  • @walkamoung will those features come?

  • Mass storage mode is not needed. You can sync documents wirelessly via skydrive.

  • i wonder did her hand get tired from holding that phone in that position . but umm i thought about switching to win 7 but there are a lot of key features missing.

  • Thanks! I don't know why but your reviews always great, this is the best WP7 review I've watched (and I've watched many)

  • Marvellous review from Lisa as usual...Thanks

  • Another very good review. Thumbs up!

  • amazing all of the BASIC features MS left out at least at the moment

  • @martes37 You mean the basic features iOS got after two years?

WP7 is getting it in an update in two months.

  • weak android is better for now.

  • @savior02 agreed

  • @savior02 android is slow and un-responsive compared to WP7, sure it as more features cause it's been out longer , remember how bad android 1 release was it didnt even have multi-touch or a on-screen keyboard.

  • Thanks for the review. I have been waiting for Microsoft to smarten up, but after you mentioned no custom ringtones, there is no way I'm getting one of these.

  • @kaynada I'm sure they'll become available soon, just like with Iphone waiting a little bit when they first launched.

  • I'm actually really impressed with WP7 as a whole. I love how all the applications share a similar, simple user interface that's easy to navigate. I love the Zune integration and how if I used it, I would never have to worry about my tags for my gallery of music not being read correctly. I think, like you say, Lisa, it's a very promising start that with a few updates will be an awesome OS to have.

  • @Betermin im glad to see some 1 did a super great job of correcting them selves unlike symbian or wat ever nokia is useing now and black berry I can see dis as a defenently palm killer and soon to be iphone and android killer

  • Is there a way the YouTube videos can be played in HQ on these phones? Wifi maybe?

  • @Nate88Music Yeah...go to m(.)youtube(.)com if you want to do it over 3G or use the Youtube client if on Wi-Fi

  • I really wish they could of made a lot of the ui to work in landscape.

  • is the dell venue pro coming to US t-mobile?

  • @S69NER Yes it is

  • ohh gosh i was about to like this video and almost hit dislike i got scared but i didnt hit it :)
