I think the whole point of the title as 'Ballet Shoes' is a metaphor for the talents the girls share/possess and how they stop at nothing to acheive their dreams because it's who they are. I don't think it's meant to literally refer to ballet shoes.

@apriljoy24 It creates fingerwaves. The hair has to be completely wet when putting the clips in, and when left to dry completely (it takes several hours) the wave holds incredibly well.
