ron paul is a jokester. i want to go forward not back to the gilded age of the robber barons. it's sad that he has manipulated so many people. good luck kids.
Everyone says they want change. Bush's negatives are high. The Democratic congress negatives are high. Look at who they vote for; McCain, Clinton, Obama. (Obama doesn't say what he would change). The American people are brain dead. This election proves it. When the next terrorist attack happens, this time, the American people will be to blame.
LibertyBellUSA, I couldn't have said it better myself!
Dr. Paul's policies make perfect sense, because the first step to advancement in the economy is controlled spending! He understands, unlike others, that money does not grow on trees!
These "conservatives" should learn how to "conserve."
Dont blame the system, blame those who run it and those who pay their salaries (thats us). Here's a thought about change, It has already happened and not for the better. If the state of indiana didn't have to send all 18 billion dollars in tax revenue to Washington we could take care of our own in a manner that we see fit. In a manner permitted under the constitution and the rule of law.
we send 18 billion to washington. They keep 12 billion and return 6 to the state with strings attatched, drug test school children or we cut this, don't adhere to no child left behind and we cut your funding.
Our state budget in 2005 was 20.6 billion barely more than what was taken by the fed. If we could have kept 50% we could have helped the poor a hell of a lot more and provide a free education for our children.
If the fed wasn't taken 25% of our income, inflation wasn't taking another 10% and social security (which won't be there for most of us) wasn't taking another 10%, far fewer people would need social programs.
What is not radical about, "abolishing the income tax, riding ourselves of the FED, bringing our troops home from all posts worldwide, going back to the gold standard, taking responsibility for yourself, giving back the power to STATES to govern themselves, and basically having all Americans wake the fuck up?" Yea! your right that's not radical it's common sense!!
If they are not rich now, then they can get a job. Why is it that you assume that women and minorities need to have the government take care of them. They are just as capable and competent as everyone else and can work for a living like everyone else. If we stoped taxing people so much (like the taxes on tips), then there would be many more jobs available and the money that people make when they work for it would not be taken awat from them. It helps anyone who is willing to work.
Im sorry. I think I may have misunderstood what you were implying. If that is not what you meant, then I apologize for misrepresenting your ideas and waisting your time with that comment.
ron paul is like JFK, men loyal to their country. he wont win the election and if he did they will kill him. he is a danger to the international banking system and the rothschilds wont let that happen even if all americans voted for him.
If we don't elect Ron Paul, we are gonna wish we did, when the economy implodes and our children become indentured servants to China. People, this is the big issue. Without money we lose our homes, our food, our transportation, our jobs. Ron Paul's the only one running who understands this stuff.
Paul has been proven to be a racist sympathizer. His followers are fanatics and his policies look to discard equal rights for minorities. Anyone who supports this guy is making a huge mistake.
Oh come on, do your research. I'm assuming you are referring to the newsletter published under Paul's name over 10 years ago, which he did not write and has denounced.
Ron Paul brings a huge following because he actually speaks the truth and does his homework. Just watch the debates when Ron brings up the following the Constitution; all the other 'republicans' either change the subject or ignore. The people who hold offices are supposed to follow and protect the Constitution so, why are all these other candidates dumbfounding when the Constitution is mentioned?
No, actually politics is the basic right of everyone and no one should be above others in that. I know what is the problem you and the like: You can't value individuals.
The best quote was at the end there where RP is talking about corporate fascism. I would like to see more of that Meet the Press interview of December 23rd.
This doesn't answer the question "Who is Ron Paul?" I thought it might provide some insight into the man's track record as a politician and his alliances and funding sources. This just gives us the Ron Paul talking points, which are interesting but they are also available elsewhere.
Its great! As a liberal, I only dissagree w/ his politics! Hes not Evil! Not that all republicans are, but boy does it seem like it. THE TRUTH ISN'T PARTISAN!
To add more, I dissagree w/ A LOT of what he has to say, but not all of it. Honesty means a lot and while he wont get my vote he will get my respect! Trust me, liberals dont hand that out often.
I wouldn't say only intelligent people - some people simply believe big government is always bad which is jammed down our throught in this society - it benefits corporations who are the real problem. This idea is simplistic. Some understand stuff some don't
We believe that the Government should stick to what it says. To be small domestically AND small internationally. Blowback: look it up.
Bad foreign policy causes problems for US citizens after time. As does bad monetary policy, ie the impending recession. This is why I vote for Ron Paul.
Very provocative, mostly because you are so completely wrong headed about everything. The world and it's peoples have benefited from every advanced civilization, including the Greek/Italian/Catholic civilization, what I call "Mediterranean Culture" which was and remains more cosmopolitan than you, for sure!
My observation from another country. It is interesting that most of the audience supporting Ron Paul are young people. He seems to be seen as "the little guy" or as we say in Australia "the underdog" in the race. Everyone wanted Seabiscuit to win. For a Republican, I think I like the guy. Blessings +++ The Saint +++
Hey, even Howard Stern just endorsed RP on his satellite radio show too! He can do it unabashedly, because there's no FCC/MSM influence and he has a very large and diverse national audience.
I'm afraid that voters aren't interested in the radical changes needed to save this country. Obama. Fluff. Hillary. Fluff. McCain. Death. Huckster. Ignorance. None of these talk about the real issues. I'm afraid people don't want to hear unpleasant truths and aren't willing to do something about our real problems. If this continues we'll deserve what's coming to us.
God Speed Ron Paul. Thank you for your courage and your truth.
i dont agree with his view of bringing troops from around the world home, if we did that, South Korea would get owned, other than that he's golden from this video
so your saying north korea wouldn't invade south when they have the chance? i think its better having troops stationed there to prevent it happening then to risk it happening and possibly enter a much larger war
N. Korea doesn't have the resources to execute the sort of sustained military action that would be necessary to gain control of S. Korea. Also, S. Korea is important to China economically and could count on its support in the case of a confrontation.
vote fraud.....Call this number ->(603) 271-3658 and let the attorney general of New Hampshire know that we see what is going on and that it is unacceptable
Enforcing laws is his policy. We do actually have a system for changing law when we want to and that has not happened. If you listen to his economic policy you can figure why he does not want a 95% Roman Catholic (no birth control) people coming here to work the low paying jobs no one else will do. Corporate slaves supported by tax dollars. Doesn't sound all that compassionate to me.
yes but removing all help for people who need it is not the answer. The answer is 1. make them citizens so they have employee rights. 2. Stop the corporate subsidies that is ruining the Mexican economy - this way they won't need to come here for jobs as much. I think RP wants to do the later but maybe not the first. It is backwards to cut them off support first.
I realize that and his free trade polices make me think he would get rid of Nafta but I am not sure if he could do that unilaterally or have to get legislation passed. I don't take anything Paul says all that seriously if it has to be enacted by law because he would be fought tooth and nail by corporate owned legislators. I am not unsympathetic to the plight of Mexicans but I would hate to see them end up as slave labor for corporations and have that subsidized by taxes.
Ron Paul could pull all the troops from foreign land (that's $1T per year)and veto all spending bills from congress!! That's huge!! You are right, he would need legislation to defeat IRS and get rid of NAFTA - CAFTA etc. The greatest thing, beyond the first points I made is that he would educate the American people and the world in Liberty (setting a good example)!
COA: Your 1st step is "forcefull" -- whereas Ron Paul's policy will put more money (by greatly increase Purchasing Power Parity and by reducing foreign troop deployment - $1T per year) This would give you more money so you can be philanthropic -- Christians give more than any other group, with more wealth they'd help most of those in need, with the spending decreases Paul can support the TRULY needy.
1st step is not forceful, it just provides rights and liberty under the law to humans now living in this country rather then discriminating. Christians give more money because they are manipulated by the church and other groups. Philanthropy allows the privileged feel good and give money, but it does not democratically address the needs of those in need. When people have more money they tend to buy more crap they don't need.
COAnews: Your analysis does not match reality. Christians do not give because they are manipulated, just as Muslims in a time of peace will accept any stranger into their home if they ask for protection-warmth-shelter -- It is cultural and it is faith -- meaning Christians "believe" that if they help other's they will please God and Community and the thought of that "feels good."
I am on disability and pay no taxes. The whole country can move here and it won't cost me a penny but I will continue to look out for my apathetic and uniformed fellow citizens. peace
Soviets tried to put missiles in Cuba 1962. JFK nearly started WWIII. What'd we expect OTHER folks to do when US interferes 60 YEARS? CIA calls it blowback. Al-Kaida calls it "BLOW UP". People outside US, AREN'T JUST "PAINTED ON".
No excuse--Explanation.
When do we stop printing worthless money? Why aren't we incentivising alternate energy to be free of Mid East entangling alliances over OIL? And bring kids home from Korea. 60 years! Iraq's 2 years LONGER than WWII.
On Alex Jones show today he noted Ron Paul knows there is enough oil in Alaska for 200 years supply and wished Dr. Paul had of mentioned that on Jay Leno the other night. Turn your brains on people and support Ron Paul. donate today ronpaul2008 com
News notes Bill Clinton sent out an email for more money for Hill and has received about a million dollars a day for January!
i just set out about 10 signs today and handed out 100 flyers, but ive only known about ron for a month,he may have to go 3rd party we need more time to get the message out
The mainstream media is counting on us giving up folks. We must not give up no matter what. Ron's message is getting out and his support is growing. Almost 50% of his money raised this quarter came from NEW donars. It means he's growing and growing fast. Lets keep it moving.
MM media working non-stop to suppress & dim the Ron Paul phenomena. Voter Fraud. Someone(s) is very afraid of Dr.Paul speaking the truth on the nature of our dollar and foreign policies. Fox going into overdrive by shutting him out of a debate and belittling him. WHAT is going on here my fellow countrymen?
Also, i have to be honest, i really feel another Huge act of "Terrorism" coming around the corner.
goread41-they are reporting false incidents in the Gulf - battleships vs small speed-boats? In Iranian waters to boot. I agree, Bush will cancel elections so he remain dictator which he set in-place with Executive Orders. Suspended Habeas corpus, Patriot Act, HB1955 stole our last freedom. People can no longer remain ignorant about these things.
The REAL ID Act was made by Congress on May 11, 2005 that would allow for it to become mandatory to have a Nation ID card, by the Patriot Act deadline, of May 2008. I obtained my information from The New York Times. This is just one more step towards the RFID Chip, who many people have already accepted into their bodies. You are in a daze and need to get out of it to save your own life. REFUSE THE ID CARDS AND THE MICROCHIPS = SAVE YOUR SOULS FROM THE ANTI-CHRIST!!!!
I want to comment but i think there is no need to. we are here in youtube and as a ron paul supporter i can say we won this joint No Doubt About It.
some hatred blind people how hate them self and the others thinking they are the elite of the community and they KNOW EVERYTHING, they hate ron paul because he know what they don't "the truth"
the truth is so hard for them to comprehend and realize they wanna stay in there own littel world and not truble there mind with logical thinking and everything is fine.
Hillary Obama are the same shit but with different smile. Talking about number and change which mean nothing without a base and vision. They have nothing and they want everything. People who come here they know the truth they are here for Ron Paul.. no need to tell them, but if you don't you have to search for it and take this with you "Nothing is what it seems"
Canada.. do NOT underestate our enemy, they took down 9/11. They have money and the news media. Every caucus accross the nation will have plants from people that appear out of nowhere that can show citicenship and get into "hot spots" where the votes are counted and they change the out come. That's y Hillary won.
I agree. I too am saddened by the inability for the now-firmily-well-established 60s generation to see the revolutionary, daring & gutsy spirit that Ron Paul possesses.
YOU MUST SEE NO END IN SIGHT. You can stream from google or rent from Neflix it's AMAZING.
NO END IN SIGHT! It is very clear why BUSH went into Iraq 49,000 contracts for companies. Iraq lost it's history due to looting while BUSH AND CO were protecting the OIL FIELDS. Munitions were found and the people were told they didn't have enough people to get them. So what happened? They were USED ON OUR troops! Bush is a traitor!
Thanks for being a voice independent of the main stream media. The main stream media have already had their way with the minds of the voting public and like it or not the sheeple rely more on the main stream media than any other source of information. In this day and age you would think they would just look up a web site and vote on the issues they are standing on and their record. That type of voter would advantage Ron Paul and be the fall of his running mates.
jews counting votes will only lead to a for isreal US president and not for america US president. that is why ron paul will not win. He is too much for america
It's not on those 'official' CNN, NBC, FOX etc. news stations yet. It started with one of the voters saying that her whole family voted for Ron Paul, but in on her district map, it said the count was '0'. So, the fraud expert, Bev Harris started investigating because of this and got one of the counters, Jeniffer Call to admit what there were 31 votes that weren't counted. It'll probably be on the regular news outlets soon.
genaminna03 - Old media will either NOT report it or minimize. Remember Obama is CFR, same as Hillary - now it's a battle of egos for them, matter of saving our country for us under Dr. Paul's leadership. Bev found LHS programmer for Diebold has criminal record. blackbox com
Honesty is the most important trait in a politician. Its bigger than ideology, left or right. Paul has it the most along with Barak Obama. Don't vote always the dogs, give humanism a chance.
Well, I was also surprised by the McCain domination. NH had been marked as anti-Bush, opposed to war, so one would expect the people to vote against a candidate, who so strongly supports the president's policy.
I just don't get the reasons someone could believe McCain to be, using a cliche, "a candidate of change", when the verb he uses mostly is "stay".
They did not report 31 votes for Ron Paul, they had to give them to someone else as they do a total voter tally sheet with the number of ppl voting. So, at a minimum, 62 votes are incorrect.
Are you an advocate of Socialism? You sound like it. In a true free market system, workers are perfectly welcome to form labor unions and collectively bargain. RP advocates the eventual elimination of the Federal Reserve (our Central Bank). They (the International Bankers that compose the FR Board and operate in almost total secrecy) are the ones that are currently "controlling" our economy. Lose them, and the economy is controlled by the free market (which is "the People").
Get a handle on the economics, and our current economic situation (runaway gov't spending, inflation, the Fed printing money out of thin air and borrowing from China to pay the bills, the devaluation of the almighty dollar to new lows, Wall St., impending recession etc.) and you'll begin to see why Ron Paul has such vast and diverse grassroots (real people) support. They understand. Apparently, you don't...yet.
actually it's not just the bankers, it's also big business. The "free market" is a myth. The market is regulated by big business (especially without democratic government regulation). A market controlled by big business is neither free nor liberating to average people. Look countries in Latin America that have privatized everything and you'll see what a "free market" society looks like.
The international banking cartel (Big Bankers) are at the top of the chain because they finance (and bail out) business (e.g. Wall Street) by utiilizing various "techniques" such as playing with the prime interest rate, printing money out of thin air to finance govt operations -- operations supported by the corporations (e.g. like the Iraq War), and borrowing funds from China to "cover" expenses.
A central bank (the Federal Reserve) is anathema to the concept and philosophy of Liberty. Thomas Jefferson knew it. Andrew Jackson knew it. Both were responsible for abolishing the First and Second central banks that emerged in the U.S. historically. Ron Paul is now at bat to do it and we're hoping he hits a home run.
The corporate influence in Washington comes into the picture by way of PACs (Political Action Committees / lobby groups) also known as the "special interests". They're the ones that are influencing Congress (by various methods) to pass STATUTES (laws), that are in their best interests. From those statutes, the "regulations" that you speak of, are derived. The also influence the White House's decision-making through the "good 'ol boy" network (money and power).
The free-market IS a myth in our current situation. It's not currently a free-market -- at all. But it doesn't need to be so, and can be otherwise. The core problem is a huge and omnipresent central government. Take away the incentive for lobbyists to "buy influence" and promote their regulatory schemes (which promote monopolistic outcomes) by reducing the size and power of CENTRAL govt, and you've solved a good portion of the problem.
Btw, anti-trust (anti-monopolistic) legislation was undone in the early '80s beginning with Reagan, who failed miserably to deliver on his campaign promise of reducing the size and scope of central gov't. He set the investment bankers loose, with buyout after buyout. Unlike Reagan, who basically fell into the Neo-conservative trap, Paul will actually succeed.
Give me control over a nation's currency and I care not who makes its laws." -- Baron Rothschild of the Rothschild banking dynasty.
He was one of the most influential, powerful, and wealthiest international bankers in the world at that time. And he knew, the power of controlling money supplies -- money suppliers and monetary policy controllers just like our Central Bank, the Federal Reserve.
The U.S. Congress abdicated its Constitutional responsiblity back in 1913, which is when our problems really started to escalate (like perpetual wars ever since and corrupt gov't).
His whole record of "principled integrity" demonstrates it, and that's why the Neo-conservatives are rabidly attacking his campaign and why his supporters are so passionate -- because they know HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS.
I won't deny that Paul challenges powerful interests. But you assume that small government is less influential than big government. Again look at places where government is small, and you'll see corporate interests more effectively controlling it. Make it smaller is way too simplistic. Make it more democratic and transparent (good governance), proportional representation, publicly funded elections, rules against lobbying, referendums, etc... It's not as much about size as about make up.
"small government is less influential than big government". Of course it is. That's the whole point. To make gov't of a size that is controllable and held accountable to the People, not fictitious people, like corporate entities. Our gov't is out of control, that is, out of OUR control simply because of its vastness and omnipresence. No one can comprehend it, nor monitor it, in its entirety. It's basically gov't anarchy going on right now. And the corporations are fueling that fire.
this is not true, a "free market" with no democratic governance will always concentrate wealth and power, which will lead them to use that to influence government. If you want to stop private concentrated power, go after the source, corporations (yes including banks).
terrorists, totalitarian states, organized crime, al-queada and the rest of the NWO - will all shake in their boots - the great forces of liberty will shake the earth!
It will be a revolution as a reawakening of the nations to over throw or limit the states, globalization will be smashed!

I wouldn't say only intelligent people - some people simply believe big government is always bad which is jammed down our throught in this society - it benefits corporations who are the real problem. This idea is simplistic. Some understand stuff some don't

But they had to invite Paul to tonite's debate 'caz he got 8 times Thompson's votes.
Will they try to gang up on Paul?
Will they give him the same # of questions?
Will they give questions to smear?
Will they give him equal time?
Will they mention 9 US soldiers died in Iraq yesterday?
Anybody know?

I don't think he can be elected which is a crime. What would be his strongest position in a new democratic administration?
There aren't many with the true knowledge of the criminal system or the guts to challenge it.
Dennis Kucinich is similar with the knowlege and guts to challenge the system.
The difference is Dennise would use true democracy and the power of the government to regulate. I'm not sure how Ron would get there.

N. Korea doesn't have the resources to execute the sort of sustained military action that would be necessary to gain control of S. Korea. Also, S. Korea is important to China economically and could count on its support in the case of a confrontation.

PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
Enforcing laws is his policy. We do actually have a system for changing law when we want to and that has not happened. If you listen to his economic policy you can figure why he does not want a 95% Roman Catholic (no birth control) people coming here to work the low paying jobs no one else will do. Corporate slaves supported by tax dollars. Doesn't sound all that compassionate to me.
crazycatfguy 4 years ago
yes but removing all help for people who need it is not the answer. The answer is 1. make them citizens so they have employee rights. 2. Stop the corporate subsidies that is ruining the Mexican economy - this way they won't need to come here for jobs as much. I think RP wants to do the later but maybe not the first. It is backwards to cut them off support first.
COAnews 4 years ago
I realize that and his free trade polices make me think he would get rid of Nafta but I am not sure if he could do that unilaterally or have to get legislation passed. I don't take anything Paul says all that seriously if it has to be enacted by law because he would be fought tooth and nail by corporate owned legislators. I am not unsympathetic to the plight of Mexicans but I would hate to see them end up as slave labor for corporations and have that subsidized by taxes.
crazycatfguy 4 years ago 2
Ron Paul could pull all the troops from foreign land (that's $1T per year)and veto all spending bills from congress!! That's huge!! You are right, he would need legislation to defeat IRS and get rid of NAFTA - CAFTA etc. The greatest thing, beyond the first points I made is that he would educate the American people and the world in Liberty (setting a good example)!
OctoBox 4 years ago
COA: Your 1st step is "forcefull" -- whereas Ron Paul's policy will put more money (by greatly increase Purchasing Power Parity and by reducing foreign troop deployment - $1T per year) This would give you more money so you can be philanthropic -- Christians give more than any other group, with more wealth they'd help most of those in need, with the spending decreases Paul can support the TRULY needy.
OctoBox 4 years ago
1st step is not forceful, it just provides rights and liberty under the law to humans now living in this country rather then discriminating. Christians give more money because they are manipulated by the church and other groups. Philanthropy allows the privileged feel good and give money, but it does not democratically address the needs of those in need. When people have more money they tend to buy more crap they don't need.
COAnews 4 years ago
COAnews: Your analysis does not match reality. Christians do not give because they are manipulated, just as Muslims in a time of peace will accept any stranger into their home if they ask for protection-warmth-shelter -- It is cultural and it is faith -- meaning Christians "believe" that if they help other's they will please God and Community and the thought of that "feels good."

Thanks for being a voice independent of the main stream media. The main stream media have already had their way with the minds of the voting public and like it or not the sheeple rely more on the main stream media than any other source of information. How is it official? Is there a report or evidence somewhere? If so, I would like to know where as I like to keep up with this.
hardtoremember 4 years ago 2
It's not on those 'official' CNN, NBC, FOX etc. news stations yet. It started with one of the voters saying that her whole family voted for Ron Paul, but in on her district map, it said the count was '0'. So, the fraud expert, Bev Harris started investigating because of this and got one of the counters, Jeniffer Call to admit what there were 31 votes that weren't counted. It'll probably be on the regular news outlets soon.

Polytical 4 years ago 3
They did not report 31 votes for Ron Paul, they had to give them to someone else as they do a total voter tally sheet with the number of ppl voting. So, at a minimum, 62 votes are incorrect.

ron paul is a free market capitalist who doesn't believe that workers should control their own workplaces, and the economy as a whole.
deliciousmorton 4 years ago
Are you an advocate of Socialism? You sound like it. In a true free market system, workers are perfectly welcome to form labor unions and collectively bargain. RP advocates the eventual elimination of the Federal Reserve (our Central Bank). They (the International Bankers that compose the FR Board and operate in almost total secrecy) are the ones that are currently "controlling" our economy. Lose them, and the economy is controlled by the free market (which is "the People").
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Get a handle on the economics, and our current economic situation (runaway gov't spending, inflation, the Fed printing money out of thin air and borrowing from China to pay the bills, the devaluation of the almighty dollar to new lows, Wall St., impending recession etc.) and you'll begin to see why Ron Paul has such vast and diverse grassroots (real people) support. They understand. Apparently, you don't...yet.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
actually it's not just the bankers, it's also big business. The "free market" is a myth. The market is regulated by big business (especially without democratic government regulation). A market controlled by big business is neither free nor liberating to average people. Look countries in Latin America that have privatized everything and you'll see what a "free market" society looks like.
COAnews 4 years ago
The international banking cartel (Big Bankers) are at the top of the chain because they finance (and bail out) business (e.g. Wall Street) by utiilizing various "techniques" such as playing with the prime interest rate, printing money out of thin air to finance govt operations -- operations supported by the corporations (e.g. like the Iraq War), and borrowing funds from China to "cover" expenses.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago 2
A central bank (the Federal Reserve) is anathema to the concept and philosophy of Liberty. Thomas Jefferson knew it. Andrew Jackson knew it. Both were responsible for abolishing the First and Second central banks that emerged in the U.S. historically. Ron Paul is now at bat to do it and we're hoping he hits a home run.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago 2
The corporate influence in Washington comes into the picture by way of PACs (Political Action Committees / lobby groups) also known as the "special interests". They're the ones that are influencing Congress (by various methods) to pass STATUTES (laws), that are in their best interests. From those statutes, the "regulations" that you speak of, are derived. The also influence the White House's decision-making through the "good 'ol boy" network (money and power).
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
The free-market IS a myth in our current situation. It's not currently a free-market -- at all. But it doesn't need to be so, and can be otherwise. The core problem is a huge and omnipresent central government. Take away the incentive for lobbyists to "buy influence" and promote their regulatory schemes (which promote monopolistic outcomes) by reducing the size and power of CENTRAL govt, and you've solved a good portion of the problem.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Btw, anti-trust (anti-monopolistic) legislation was undone in the early '80s beginning with Reagan, who failed miserably to deliver on his campaign promise of reducing the size and scope of central gov't. He set the investment bankers loose, with buyout after buyout. Unlike Reagan, who basically fell into the Neo-conservative trap, Paul will actually succeed.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
And I'll leave you with a famous quotation:
Give me control over a nation's currency and I care not who makes its laws." -- Baron Rothschild of the Rothschild banking dynasty.
He was one of the most influential, powerful, and wealthiest international bankers in the world at that time. And he knew, the power of controlling money supplies -- money suppliers and monetary policy controllers just like our Central Bank, the Federal Reserve.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
The U.S. Congress abdicated its Constitutional responsiblity back in 1913, which is when our problems really started to escalate (like perpetual wars ever since and corrupt gov't).
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
His whole record of "principled integrity" demonstrates it, and that's why the Neo-conservatives are rabidly attacking his campaign and why his supporters are so passionate -- because they know HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
I won't deny that Paul challenges powerful interests. But you assume that small government is less influential than big government. Again look at places where government is small, and you'll see corporate interests more effectively controlling it. Make it smaller is way too simplistic. Make it more democratic and transparent (good governance), proportional representation, publicly funded elections, rules against lobbying, referendums, etc... It's not as much about size as about make up.
COAnews 4 years ago
"small government is less influential than big government". Of course it is. That's the whole point. To make gov't of a size that is controllable and held accountable to the People, not fictitious people, like corporate entities. Our gov't is out of control, that is, out of OUR control simply because of its vastness and omnipresence. No one can comprehend it, nor monitor it, in its entirety. It's basically gov't anarchy going on right now. And the corporations are fueling that fire.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
this is not true, a "free market" with no democratic governance will always concentrate wealth and power, which will lead them to use that to influence government. If you want to stop private concentrated power, go after the source, corporations (yes including banks).
COAnews 4 years ago
The bankers are the key player, yes. That's where the central bank comes into the picture and why Paul wants to eliminate it.
