I went to the law school there in Jacksonville and lived at the Buccanneer Apartments on 10th and 3rd - across from the seafood place Harry's. Loved the Ocean. I can't wait to return home and consider Jax Beach the best. Is Bukkets still there? Hurricane Hatties? Sun Dog? Rag Time?So many good memories and great people there

I grew up around there. I now live in New York state. It SUCKS. I'm so homesick. I can't friggin' wait to move back! If I can ever make it back to FL it will NEVER LEAVE AGAIN.

Sorry but Pier 7 And Einstein a go go are both long gone. Einsteins is Now an Irish Pub that is nice also and I honestly do not know what Pier 7 is now. But high rise condos replaced most of the mom and pop motels.I made this video to show how much this beach that Never changed in many years has really changed in just the last 5 years !! Even Peelers is Gone and also the biker bar just north of the old Peelers is now a realty office !! Wow !! They did a nice job making parks and boardwalk !

i used to have the most fun at pier 7, a total dive. that was where all the squids hung out. i just hope tony's is still open. my mom and i went to ponte vedra a couple of years ago, but that was it. she is in san marco and finds no need to go out there. my brother is a surfer, when his wife lets him, so he goes out there some.
