  • I love your tutorial. Unfortunately it's not that easy to find EVA foam in Germany, which isn't to expensive. So it seems, that a fibreglass work will be cheaper than to use the foam in Germany. :( I will not give up to create my own Iron Man, thank you for this tutorial and the motivation that I got through it.

  • where can you buy it?

  • hi,hi, can foam reinforced with resin?

  • These tutorials rock, thanks for the help. Now to get a set of Mark VI Halo armor going...

  • hey man, when are you going to upload a tutorial on that motorized helmet :)

  • HeyI have troubles to find foam

can i use foam with evazote ??

  • Hey I'm hoping you could help me out. I need some help locating the correct foam/mats to use for this project. If anyone knows, could they message me please? Thanks.

And PS, keep up the GREAT work

  • which one gives the better result would you say resin method or foam i don't mind doing either

  • @villehermannivalo666 paper resin method will give you more accurate result.

  • @TheHeroTutorials thats great thank you im actually in the process of making the resin suit now :) thanks again

  • how much does war machine\iron-man cost?

  • I'm just about ready to start working on my Warmachine. Problem is, I'm finding it difficult to find 1/4 inch anti-fatigue foam mats in my area. I've been able to find plenty of 1/2 inch interlocking foam mats and 1/4 inch foam yoga mats. Will either of these work? Or would craft foam be a more suitable substitute?

  • hey i know you have links and stuff on some of the videos, but can you put a direct link to the site and what not for where you found the foam roll, i dont want to buy a too thick version and end up messing up please send me a message or post the link through your description :D

  • @brando1001 I got mine at a local store.

  • Very cool stuff can't wait to try it myself, could you tell me how thick the foam is that you are using in millimetres (mm) thanks

  • were do i find the templates??

  • @2MMA3 check my other videos

  • it sounds pathetic, but is there any other kind of glue you can use? I'm a bit afraid of the "hot" part of the hot glue

  • @PMW3 You could use contact cement.

Found at hardware stores. Get the Quick drying type or you'll have to hold it together forever :P

ask them, they'll direct you to it. You usually brush it on. They might have a low odour one as well.

  • @PMW3 luiquid nails works just as well.

  • @PMW3 haha same here bro but um if u go and buy contact cement it has a strong ouder so use out side and the contact cement will do a permant bond what u do with it is you brush a thin coat on to the foam ur glueing let it dry and then do the same for the other when u stick them to gether you have an adheard bond :P or wear gloves when using hot glue :}

  • Wohooo! Subscribed! very informative tutorials!

  • if there is any one who knows were i can buy this foam in holland plz tell me :(

  • Comment removed

  • error from the lair ...subscribed ..great job ... these tutorials are really great

  • @eatmydeath

Thanks Nicci. appreciate you subbing. Must have been my cool hat.

  • @TheHeroTutorials i must say .. its a pretty fucking sweet hat...

  • I probly sound dumb saying this; but is a file a template?

  • @xCharmingDevil yup , the file is the template

... and you're not dumb. It's an honest question.

Don't worry man. I've heard actual dumb questions.

  • I live in FL, I went to Home Depot and they didn't have that type of foam mat. That "best-step" brand he has in the video I found at Sears. Thanks for the vids, cant wait for the next ones

  • How thick do i want to get the foam?

  • @Barcrest I'm an idiot i didn't hear you say 1/4" thick, I have some foam now.

  • Can you sand that kind of foam?

  • Got any files I can use? Lol

  • can u give me the link for bioshock subject delta helment i cant find it anywhere please

  • @LEGOBIGESTFAN11 did you watch part 2? use google to find files please. I don't have time to search for all these files for everyone. That's why showed you how to find files.

The files have to exist. I mention this in this video.

  • Great stuff!

  • This is the tutorial set I've been looking forward to seeing someone do. I think I could do pretty good with this method, especially with my kid sized armors, but I just need to kind of see it done first, heh. Oh, and the War Machine is coming along very nicely...I hope to be in one soon, or have one of my daughters in one.

  • Are you from toronto? cause i bet if you started a workshop on this you'd get a full class

  • @Gamer2Gamers Hi, I'm close to Toronto.

Maybe one day when I get better and have more projects to show for myself.

  • great work stealth! Will watch out for the next vid! :)

  • finally

  • 110 pounds seems a bit heavy doesn't it?

  • @benphoumindr123 lol

I'm laughing in hopes that you're joking.

So I can laugh with you :)

    please let me know.

  • @TheHeroTutorials HAHA, Where can I get his 100pound cardboard :P

  • @benphoumindr123

got mine at an office supply store

  • I know where to find some Halo Armor pep modded files :) IF someone needs it msg me :)))

Oh yea Stealth WORT WORT WORT :D

  • I want to use this technique to build Loki's helmet (movie version), but I can't find a pepakura file of it.

  • @0BatGirl0 It has to exist to use this method.

If you can't find the file. you'll have to build it with reference pictures and try from scratch.

  • @TheHeroTutorials I know, but it would save so much time if there were one already made. His helmet isn't too complex, it's fairly segmented with few difficult curves. Can't get a good shot from the back, I'll have to wait for the DVD to come out next month.

  • @0BatGirl0 I would show you how to build it from scratch but you'd have to wait will I finish this tutorial before I create a scratch building tutorial. I wish I could do more at the moment. :(

  • @TheHeroTutorials That's ok, I've still got a Sam Flynn and a Nightwing costume commision to finish before I move onto my own costumes.

  • @0BatGirl0 i have a loki helmet pepakura file here. shoot me your email ill send it to ya

  • Looking forward to this. I just started building parts for the Iron Man costume, but if this could make things simpler without all the fibreglassing and such then I may have to try it out

  • @ConSmith1807 I'm gonna be honest with you. I hate sanding and filling and all that. I'm a cos-player at heart. I'm a nerd. I like to dress up as a hero and have fun with the costume for a day. This is the best way to build if that's your goal in the end for the costume.

  • hey this is awesome because i wanna make an ironman costume but wanna make parts like the crouch, abs, thigh pieces so its more comfortable seating. cant wait for the tutorial hope it comes soon

  • sweet man thanks for this! I was thinking about doing this with some GOW armor...

  • @Powerhungry5000 np man, I'll try to get these out one after the other with less delay this time.

Damn, powerhungry. I remember you since day one following the vids.

I appreciate it a lot man. You have no idea.

Are you on any forums? If so, what is your user name? I only know you by this name.

  • @TheHeroTutorials haha, well no problem! You are very good at what you do :P and yes, I'm on the 405th. I'm project_phoenix :)

  • @TheHeroTutorials oh, one other thing, do you think that heating up the blade would help?

  • @Powerhungry5000 You know, I\ve heard of an attacthment blade you can add to a soldering iron. I bet it would cut the foam like butter. Even without it, it's really not that bad.

  • @TheHeroTutorials yes as have I. I think I'll look into it... I'll post a vid if I find out anything juicy :P
