I love your tutorial. Unfortunately it's not that easy to find EVA foam in Germany, which isn't to expensive. So it seems, that a fibreglass work will be cheaper than to use the foam in Germany. :( I will not give up to create my own Iron Man, thank you for this tutorial and the motivation that I got through it.
Hey I'm hoping you could help me out. I need some help locating the correct foam/mats to use for this project. If anyone knows, could they message me please? Thanks.
I'm just about ready to start working on my Warmachine. Problem is, I'm finding it difficult to find 1/4 inch anti-fatigue foam mats in my area. I've been able to find plenty of 1/2 inch interlocking foam mats and 1/4 inch foam yoga mats. Will either of these work? Or would craft foam be a more suitable substitute?
hey i know you have links and stuff on some of the videos, but can you put a direct link to the site and what not for where you found the foam roll, i dont want to buy a too thick version and end up messing up please send me a message or post the link through your description :D
@PMW3 haha same here bro but um if u go and buy contact cement it has a strong ouder so use out side and the contact cement will do a permant bond what u do with it is you brush a thin coat on to the foam ur glueing let it dry and then do the same for the other when u stick them to gether you have an adheard bond :P or wear gloves when using hot glue :}
I live in FL, I went to Home Depot and they didn't have that type of foam mat. That "best-step" brand he has in the video I found at Sears. Thanks for the vids, cant wait for the next ones
@LEGOBIGESTFAN11 did you watch part 2? use google to find files please. I don't have time to search for all these files for everyone. That's why showed you how to find files.
The files have to exist. I mention this in this video.
This is the tutorial set I've been looking forward to seeing someone do. I think I could do pretty good with this method, especially with my kid sized armors, but I just need to kind of see it done first, heh. Oh, and the War Machine is coming along very nicely...I hope to be in one soon, or have one of my daughters in one.
@TheHeroTutorials I know, but it would save so much time if there were one already made. His helmet isn't too complex, it's fairly segmented with few difficult curves. Can't get a good shot from the back, I'll have to wait for the DVD to come out next month.
@0BatGirl0 I would show you how to build it from scratch but you'd have to wait will I finish this tutorial before I create a scratch building tutorial. I wish I could do more at the moment. :(
Looking forward to this. I just started building parts for the Iron Man costume, but if this could make things simpler without all the fibreglassing and such then I may have to try it out
@ConSmith1807 I'm gonna be honest with you. I hate sanding and filling and all that. I'm a cos-player at heart. I'm a nerd. I like to dress up as a hero and have fun with the costume for a day. This is the best way to build if that's your goal in the end for the costume.
hey this is awesome because i wanna make an ironman costume but wanna make parts like the crouch, abs, thigh pieces so its more comfortable seating. cant wait for the tutorial hope it comes soon
@Powerhungry5000 You know, I\ve heard of an attacthment blade you can add to a soldering iron. I bet it would cut the foam like butter. Even without it, it's really not that bad.

it sounds pathetic, but is there any other kind of glue you can use? I'm a bit afraid of the "hot" part of the hot glue
PMW3 4 months ago
@PMW3 You could use contact cement.
Found at hardware stores. Get the Quick drying type or you'll have to hold it together forever :P
ask them, they'll direct you to it. You usually brush it on. They might have a low odour one as well.
TheHeroTutorials 4 months ago
@PMW3 luiquid nails works just as well.

@0BatGirl0 It has to exist to use this method.
If you can't find the file. you'll have to build it with reference pictures and try from scratch.
