  • omg, this video gives me goose bumps and tears..I was an abused child and then as an adult I was in an extremely abusive relationship.. and you are right, bruises fade and the pain remains. I wish every victim would have the same opportunities I have had to be free from abuse and to learn how to live a happy and peaceful life, free from violence. Victims feel so helpless, so hopeless, so full of guilt...and the precious innocent children suffer the most...

    peace and earth muffin hugs,

    vicki

  • Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage-to move in the opposite direction.

  • We can all take responsibility for helping to bring about change....

    Thank you Tom!!!!

  • No one should ever have to live in the Hell created by an abuser.

If your are victimized by domestic violence seek help.

Do what ever is necessary to protect yourself and those you love.

Break away the chains that bind you and live in freedom from fear and pain.

  • That's easier said than done. I don't think anyone would believe me, but also, I'll be eighteen in 2 1/2 years and then I'll be safe from them. They don't hit me like they used to from the time I was 3-14.

  • Hello, Anni

I appreciate that a lot of things are easier said than done

But some things really do need to be done or they get worse and never better !

The most important person in your life is you

and you owe it to yourself to make sure that you are protected against anyone harming you !!!

  • This is the phone number for the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline...

    1-800-422-4453

Dial that number... then press the number 1

24 hours a day... 7 days a week... there is someone there to listen to you, and to try to help you !!!

If there are Counsellors at that High School of yours... please talk to them... Tell them what is happening to you, and what has happened to you in the past !

    You are not alone !!!

It is important that you become a 'Survivor'...

    Not a 'statistic'
