I think that Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera are both great. It's all in what you prefer to hear. I think Mariah Carey has a better quality voice and does not need to "over sing" for it to be obvious that she has a nice voice. Christina's voice is strong but sometimes it can sound rough and annoying. Mariah has had times when her voice was in better shape than at other times, but when Mariah is at her best, I definitely prefer Mariah's voice.

@zanoases I agree...Christina had a few good songs in the studio that worked...But she was the biggest fraud vocally. Crazy that she made it to a professional level. I think it was because her lower range tones were fine but she had no range. Let's just say it. I think she can sing enough for a small time act...but should never have ever tried to belt. She can't handle it.

Personally, I can pinpoint from her oral shape, tone, timbre, condition of breath-support at a time, gesture and facial expression even though the performance is dubbed. She might be one of the world worst lipsycher. She lips quite often these days but there are some stunning live parts too.
