While I am sure you have said this simply for provocation, it is still uncalled for. Military personnel have volunteered to serve and are willing to give up their lives in the interest of their country - US or otherwise. That in itself is admirable. Don't blame bad policy on soldiers, they just do what they are ordered do by their government.

I agree, however that that doesn't mean it isn't a factor in many peoples decision to join. The video makes it look fun or perhaps fun isn't the right word but it glamorizes it. The fact is this video misrepresents the reality of your daily duties in the Army.
When I watched the videos, fun was the last thing on my mind. It portrays the seriousness of being a soldier by showing up front that people die (hence the widow). It portrays the sense of pride that soldiers have, in serving their country. It tries to show the kind of tradition the US military has.
If you think any of that is fun, you must be one crazy vet. You can call the video false propaganda, you can call it a pack of lies, but you sure as hell can't call it fun.
I already said maybe "fun" wasn't the right word so shut the fuck up. Also, you don't think some people might enjoy being a hero, flying around in helicopters and killing bad guys or saving people? If you don't, go down to best buy and check out the video game section.
