Anybody know if it's possible to reverse a Kickstart after it has finished? I restored my site to a previous state and in doing so lost some articles that I wanted to keep...now I want to get them back but don't know how
that works great when you are using a backup restore from a site in localhost to keep in localhost... but if you want to restore your site in a server ( like ipage in my case )... o ghoss.. this is just driving me crazy after 3 days.. no way!!!.. I got it restored but the front end template is totally corrupted and in joomla only a few tags work... :( ...dunno what more to do
well, I should retry my words, I got every possible problem, and finally overcome everyone... just to say that it works, the way is to write the host and database parameters always correct... really easy to mix them up..
A kickstart related question- do i need to download kickstart with the joomlabackup for this to work? does not matter the apps are not from the same "vintage"?
Thanks for this high quality tutorial. You should produce some more Joomla tutes, aber bitte auf Englisch! :) You are very organized and succinct. Keep up the good work.
Thank you nikowinckel for making a great tutorial. Fast and to the point. You are a pro :) I learned something new in about 5 minutes. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for your tutorial. It is better than getting a zip file from JoomPack.

Great stuff and video ... We call that 'Deutsch Grundlichkeit' .. however, after restore I get on the first click an error message:
Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL
Could you please advise what to do???
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,

Ahhh ... I have managed it. I've just copied the file configuration.php to the localhost and it worked out just fine ...
