The only Drake is Nolan North. The character is based off of him and his personality. I do not see why people try to find actors who look like Nate when Nolan North is Nate. It does not make sense to me. Besides if they did do a movie and they didn't use Nolan North they would have to find someone who looked exactly like Drake and do a voice over like they did with the Long Live Play "Michael" commercial
Why would you want Hollywood to make a movie of Uncharted? What's the point? The Uncharted games are CINEMATIC, playing the singleplayer campaigns is alreay pretty much like watching a movie.
So why bother making a movie of something that's already halfway there anyway?
You know what movies based on games are like, they never end up being as good as the games! Look at Hitman, that movie sucked ass, and the guy playing 47 was the worst of it all!

I remember reading somewhere that Drake is based on Johnny Knoxville, who would fit him quite well, what with the brilliant laugh thay share.
But now that you point it out, Gerard Butler would portray Nate fairly well, I think. Nate has a dry sense of humour and a subtle, manly sex appeal going for him, which I think Gerard does too. Plus the great body, which is always a bonus.
@trrior Adobe Photoshop is quite expensive. There are different versions of Photoshop. Just check the internet for the prices in your country. It's an expensive but truly powerful and creative tool! ;)

People at Naughty Dog clearly stated that Nathan Drake was modeled after Nathan Fillion. (If you don't know Fillion look him up at Wikipedia or Google) But as I claimed before, I guess Fillion is not being considered big enough for an expensive hollywood production by the studio's. @fram3spersec0nd Yeah that would be nice, a movie completely in state of the art CGI. That would resolve the issue with the actor. The only problem is that it takes ages to finish such movies. And the other thing is that the acting is not always as natural as one would like it to be. But maybe in the future they will get it right, who knows...

@DamageIncM Dude, Nolan is the motion actor for drake (I believe) along with being his voice actor, if anything, Nathan Drake's movements are more closely tied to him.

Yes, I know that, he does do the mocap, but I meant the physical APPEARANCE.
Nolan North will admit himself that he doesn't quite look like Drake.
I found that Fillion looks more like Drake than North does.
AND I think Fillion can live up to the character that North created.
But these two people, actors, are the only ones to be considered in my opinion.
They're just so much closer to the character than anyone.
North because of playing him and Fillion from his experiences.

I think Gerard would be better off as Sully, if anyone at all, but definitely not as Drake. That's not to say he should be Sully because ideal man would be either Richard McGonagle or J. K. Simmons. Leave Drake's role to Nolan North or Nathan Fillion. One of these two must get the role or the movie is gonna suck. Or maybe they could do an animated movie with original voice actors. EVERYONE would love it!
Also, I pray that Mark Wahlberg never gets to be Drake. That'd be fucking disastrous.

I don't think Gerard is able to do the personality of Drake. Seriously, Nolan North is the best choice if u just whip him into shape. He has the personality, looks, voice, everything else. Other characters can be popular actors, that way it could be a blockbuster movie. It didn't stop the movie Wanted from being a pretty big hit

@fram3spersec0nd Well, being in film doesn't mean you might need a pair of glasses... ;). First of all Nolan North is the voice of Nathan. Not the appearance! People at Naughty Dog clearly stated that Nathan Drake was modeled after Nathan Fillion. (If you don't know Fillion look him up at Wikipedia or Google) But as I claimed before, I guess Fillion is not being considered big enough for an expensive hollywood production by the studio's. Which is a shame but reality at the same time!

What I am getting at is the fact that North DOES look a bit like Drake, making it easier to coincide with his voice, which I think is very unique to Drake.

But as for your opinion, which you are entitled to, I must say I really don't see the resemblance between Nolan North and Nathan Drake. Seriously, they aren't look-a-likes! Again, the makers said in one of the documentaries you unlock in Uncharted 1 or 2 (don't remember which one) they were inspired by Fillion. Nolan has a different body build (more muscle) and a harder face (my opinion).

@fram3spersec0nd Yeah that would be nice, a movie completely in state of the art CGI. That would resolve the issue with the actor. The only problem is that it takes ages to finish such movies. And the other thing is that the acting is not always as natural as one would like it to be. But maybe in the future they will get it right, who knows...
