this happend to mine but yours however... was a very slow death... with mine i was playing cod waw at the same time as you 2:00 am and i had these red lines streaming verticaly down my screen do i turned my xbox off and turned it back on and i had one red light i looked it up on the internet and it means my graphics card was fried same as you =( but i got it fixed now =P =D

mine did the same thing it took m.s a month to find my address and the they sent me the box and it only took a week to get it back the vid card was fried

Mine was a launch day model. The 20 gig SKU didn't feature HDMI ports until 2007.

Yea, I had it repaired by Micro$oft for $110. :(

There's no permanent solution out there unless you open your console up and void your warranty.

i head 5 min a go same problem and i use onyl 3 towels overheats my xbox.

The towel trick is only a temporary solution though. It doesn't permanently repair a console.

i got one off eBay that didn't work sent it in and got a new one for no cost at all so in all i got one for 90 bucks + they gave me a free month for free best part person i got it from said someone tried to mod it and that is why it didn't work and they replaced it free.

Covering the back air vents with a towel until it overheats fixed the problem for me but after a while it just does it again.

you can fix it by covering all air vents with a towel for like 20 minutes so that you get 2 red lights,then turn it off and dont turn it on for another 20 minutes and you should get a video output,audio

I did, and they ran me through the troubleshooting steps and whatnot. You don't have to call me a retard about it. I'm just trying to evaluate my options since I'm out of warranty and didn't get the RRoD so I'm not covered anymore. And $110 plus shipping and handling is pretty expensive for just a repair when this thing might break yet again in the near future.
