  • joy division unknown pleasures much?

  • The bends rocked

  • ps. I haven't listened to the other albums very much because my first impression of them is that they are too mainstream (and mainstream is EVERYWHERE so you shouldn't waste any effort on trying to get more of it), but yeah, that's only my FIRST IMPRESSION, may change! But yeah, I don't like it that you like them (not enough though) even first time you listen to them! The progress, as someone mentioned, is really important, AND THERE IS NONE ON THESE SONGS!

  • For no more misunderstandings: I really like Ok Computer, In Rainbows, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, These Are My Twisted Words, (The Eraser, Kid A 17) and King of Limbs. I won't even mention the other albums to avoid misunderstandings.

  • (...see my other comment) Karma Police...no, don't take it away, but it's just not as good as the other albums.

The contradiction, which some people have noticed...well, that was sort of a joke. What I mean is that it depends on which mood you are in while listening.

  • Ok, so I've noticed a lot people thinks a lot about my comments, so I'll have to sort some thing out.

The reason to that I don't find Pablo Honey as good as the other albums is, as some of you have mentioned, probably because I don't listen to it enough. Though, the reason I don't listen to that album is because I find it too mainstream (the few songs I've heard, it should be said).

Almost the same goes for the Bends...

When it comes to Ok Computer...it's awesome if you take away (...)

  • @MEandY0Utube okay so basically ..radiohead has completely different touches in every oen of their albums and Thom yorke on his solo stuff....u cant compare them to anything or stereotype it as mainstream=waste of time...im a huge radiohead fan and their songs are alive to me ..not mere words....so wen u say its not worth spending time on listening to them....its sad...well all il say its totalllllly worth it yaaao!!! :D cheers!

  • i wonder when aphex twin is going to stop being so pretentious and just collaborate with thom, i mean so far thom has been wanting to, but aphex says "he doesnt like rock and roll" come on now

  • if one says Kid A was the best Album of decade i have to agree but if one says Amnesiac i still have to agree

they are like one album for me, symbiotic. The distant soft tones of Kid A and the raw power of Amnesiac...its like yin and yang

  • Autechre with vocals...

  • exelente!yeah!

  • David Icke

  • the most underrated is Hail To The Thief.

  • 2:51 And throwin' firecrackers........wtf? LOL.

  • 0:00-0:02 rofl play it over and over

  • @MrCrazyNeill "without a con....dom"???

  • @csiew88 no it just sounds funny you perv

  • why ain't anybody mentioning In Rainbows or Hail to the Thief`?

Anyways, it's just dumb trying to like say that any of their albums are better than the others. Radiohead isn't one of those artist who vary when it comes to quality. They are just good! Anyways, In Rainbows is the best album ;)

And yeah, when I talk about Radiohead, I talk about the songs found in: Kid A, In Rainbows, The King of Limbs, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief. The other albums doesn't really count.

  • yeah, not to forget: OK Computer and Com Lag:2+2=5!

  • @MEandY0Utube

    OK Computer???

  • @cephalic22 You better be shitting me...

  • @ST0FB3RG Meandyoutube had FORGOTTEN OK computer and I was saying, "What? Why not Ok Computer?"

  • @MEandY0Utube Pretty sure Pablo Honey and The Bends count. As well as OK Computer. And nice contradiction there by the way.

  • Lol is it just me or does the album artwork really remind me Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures?

  • @gogolplex74 I thought that instantly.

  • @gogolplex74 I was about to post the same comment. Almost word for word.

  • @gogolplex74

The members of Radiohead, especially Thom Yorke, are fans of Joy Division so it does make sense.

  • @gogolplex74 but what matters the most is that the music doesn't!

  • @gogolplex74 totally!

  • im going to be a faggot here and tell you guys that only a real radiohead fan, loves all of their music equally :)

  • @Rirrron What a dumb thing to say. You honestly think that Pablo Honey is as good as the rest?

  • @trevster2905 Seriously, I love Radiohead (and ofc Thom Yorke all by himself too), but when I heard pablo honey... I was ashamed! Well, perhaps I shouldn't say heard pablo honey. I like listened to a song from that album and decided not to listen to it anymore, simple as that (didn't wanted to take the risk that I might wouldn't like Radiohead as much any longer).

  • @MEandY0Utube this comment seriously makes you an idiot lol...you clearly don't understand the simple idea that for an artist to become great they must progress from somewhere...even having said that blow out and anyone can play guitar are classics...i don't even understand how you can not like the bends

  • i dont know radiohead is my fav band and alot of people who think the same agree amnesiac is

  • makes me feel weird inside. so unique.

  • @seapockets I forgive you

  • @jesuslol for what?

  • @MicahBuzan His sins, my brother

  • @jesuslol what the hell are you talking about? lol

  • it's because the first century began in the year 1, because there was no year 0, after the death of christ the year is marked 1, so every 100 years after that is a new century, year 101 is the beginning of the second century, and so on <3

  • @expansionist4 indded that is why we are the 21st century and not the 20th centuy no more.lol

  • @expansionist4 am dunk

  • I don't really like electric music but what Thom does is simply amazing.

  • In my opinion the best album of Radiohead is probably In Rainbows (but i love kid a too) and the worst is Pablo Honey.

  • @OllerMaller me too!

  • Kid A was released in October 2000... the 20th century.

  • @FLyAgaric421 lol no, the 20th century was the 1900's, think of it this way

when when we hit 2100, 21 centuries will be done, making the 2000s the 21st century, and the 2100s the 22nd.

  • @AwesomeA1010 Hahaha. The year 2000 was the last year of the 20th century. The 21st century began on January 1st 2001. Thanks for trying to break it down for me, but you are wrong..

  • @FLyAgaric421 LOL

the 21st century did not start in 2001, im not even gonna argue this hahaha

  • @AwesomeA1010 hahahaha wow dude... what I say is a fact, it can't be argued. What's your deal? Count it out on your fingers if you need to, the year 2000 was the last year of and is included in the 20th century. Google it if you really need to.. type in 21century in wikipedia. This is simple math though..

  • Radiohead meets breakbeat, Aphex Twin, and Nine Inch Nails? Maybe a little.

  • this is so crazy live with the drums and flea freaking out on bass and thom ,well, just freaking out like always.

  • @MicahBuzan flea plays with thom ???

  • @306ness yep :) search atoms for peace - hollow earth

  • @MicahBuzan WORD. :) thanks for the enlightenment.

  • @306ness no prob! check the fuji rock preformance of it. it's is the best quality vid i'v seen for it. i tried pasting the link but youtube doesn't allow that.

flea and thom both freaking out on stage and nigel godrich singing with thom. surreal.

  • The Eraser was Thom Yorke/Radiohead's best to date.

Erase beat In Rainbows hands down. Can't wait till the next Thom Yorke Album

  • @coylesolid Honestly, not a fan of this. It seems very repetitive and dull compared to their previous electronic outings (since kid A).

  • It does go on forever... Somewhere.

  • I wish the last 15 seconds of this song went on forever

  • @moffinator i know that bass riff is sick

  • meh

  • I love this song. Only Thom Yorke could come up with such beauty and anomaly with one track.

  • This song makes me want to slowly take my shirt off and rub my nipples...

  • love it!

  • Coldplay and muse 4 life!!!

    Just kidding :P

Can't wait to hear what Atoms for Peace get up to, I'm often astonished by this man's work. Thanks for the upload.

  • i really hope he does not believe in that hollow earth crazy hippy bullshit.

  • Actually the Hollow Earth theory began in the far east. It's related to Shangri'la, Agarta, Agartha, Hebrew and Egyptian beliefs and Ancient Sumer. If you want some interesting reading look up Admiral Byrd and current avaiation laws regarding the north and south poles. I'm not saying I'm a believer I'm just pointing out that you're in ignorant fuck who has no idea what He's talking about and if anything is esoteric in anyway I bet you shout 'hippy bullshit'. And your into the 2012 shit. Come on.

  • @PurpleTheHat god ur a douchebag ! Thom Yorke isn't inspired by aphex twin and this sounds nothing like aphex, so dude go troll somewhere else.. besides Burial is Dubstep and YES there is a burial remix out there of a thom yorke song, but for the love of god get ur shit sorted dude... yout the kind of guy south park makes fun of...

  • @s3fl

    golly gee willikers!

    youtube comments r sirius bizness.

    you need a hug dude.

  • I think the song is good, but my problem with it is that Thom has not used Aphex Twin as an influence here, but more or less copied his style. I like how he's put his own stick on it, with the vocals and such, but it also sounds a lot like Burial too. Good song, but I think it would have been interesting to see something more original.

  • @PurpleTheHat

sorry bro, but if you think that this sounds like burial u have either never heard anything of him, or u need to check on your ears

  • weird fishes, for instance, uses modes based around but never resolving on D minor

very unique music. earlier they were like a reflection of pop music. then they shattered the mirror and made a mosaic with the pieces :)

  • i cant stop listening to this. its a grower for sure.

  • @gltn4pnshmnt hahaha I think that's pushing it a bit, a huge amount of people think the same thing, don't try to pretend you're different :)

  • actually, hes right. except parachutes is my personal favorite radiohead album. when thom sings yellow i get messy everytiem.

  • WTF?????????????

    ARE U SERIOUS?

black holes and revelations is from MUSE

    and X&Y is from COLDPLAY

  • There are total seven layers of the Earth, and on each layer, its inhabitates live.

  • plz explain more

  • I prefer this song over the other song on the single. I feel it's lacking something thou :/ it's actually kind of repetitive. But I love the sound and the beginning!

  • I may be the only person to think so, but I think OK Computer was Thom Yorke's and Radiohead's masterpiece, followed closely by Kid A. OK Computer is sort of the quintessential album, while Kid A is by far their most experimental and maybe their most important contribution to the world of music as a whole. Both are absolutely incredible. If I had to pick a 3rd, I'd say The Bends takes that place.

  • I always find it hard to pick just one album as "all time favorite" , let alone album of the DECADE! I don't know, Kid A is fucking amazing, for a ton of fucking reasons, but have you truley given yourself to Skinny Puppy's "Last Rites"? Or perhaps tripped balls while playing The White Stripes' "Story of a Ghost" and "White Bloodcells"? Have you ever fucked to Massive Attack's "Mezzanine"? Radiohead FOREVER! Now go eat some uppers and put in Atari Teenage Riot's self-titled first album.

  • radioheads most underrated album is defianately amnesiac in my opinion.

  • @deathstar367

i was thinking the same thing yesterday.

    stand up sit down

    scatterbrain

  • @deathstar367 Pablo Honey in my opinion. =) Thats even underrated by Radiohead fans. ;o

  • @StefanoUnlimited that's what deathstar means by underrated. But come on, pablo honey was not that great

  • @deathstar367 that's because you're gay. Kid A is best

  • Well Kid A was voted THE album of this decade in Rolling Stone.. I think it for one was a stunner. There are great songs on each of Radiohead's albums though, I find it just depends on what I feel like..

  • 1) Kid A

    2) In Rainbows

    3) Hail To The Thief

    4)The Bends

    5) OK Computer

    6)Amnesiac

    7) Pablo Honey

  • All the ancients talk about the earth being hollow. A lot of what they have told us would happen is happening. Beings from sirius may be in there. Watch nside the hollow earth, if nothing else its a good story. The hopi indians knew what they were talking about.

  • Amnesiac is probably now my favorite Radiohead album, and a VERY underrated one!

But what's there to argue about, they're all masterpieces (yes, even Pablo Honey, a bands gotta start somewhere, it's a pretty good album).

  • the best album of the first decade of the 21st century is Kid A. hands fucking down bro.

  • I don't know, regardless of it's minor political backdrop "Hail To the Thief" comes pretty close-"In Rainbows" when it first came out blew me away. Progressively with each album Radiohead reinvents the Alternative genre. The most influencial band to me personally.

  • @mcorp72 YEAP!

  • 1. In Rainbows

    2. OK Computer

    3. Kid A & Amnesiac

    4. Hail to the Thief

    5. The Bends

    6. Pablo Honey

But even Pablo Honey blows away most of the shitty rock we here from other bands these days.

  • 1. "The Bends" and "Hail To the Thief" (Tie)

    2. In Rainbows

    3. Kid A

    4. Ok Computer

In my opinion "Amnesiac" ranks amongst their most underrated album of their carrier, it was also the first album I bought from them.

  • I think I agree the most with your list, although I would say that OK Com and Kid A tie for me

  • 7. Pablo Honey

    6. Hail to the Thief

    5. The Bends

    4. Amnesiac

    3. In Rainbows

    2. OK Computer

    1. Kid A

  • My rating is exactly the same...what are the chances?...

  • My rating is exactly the same...good job! :)

  • can't get this fucking song out of my head. I wake up in the morning with this beatplayin gover and over again. in my brain can't stopppit

  • my order i loved in rainbows

    7: Pablo Honey

    6: : OK Computer

    5: Amnesiac

    4The Bends

    3:Hail To The Thief

    2:Kid A

    1: In Rainbows

  • 7: Pablo Honey

    6: The Bends

    5: Hail To The Thief

    4: Kid A

    3: Amnesiac

    2: In Rainbows

    1: OK Computer

But they're all good and better than most other albums ever released

  • 7. The Bends

    6. Pablo Honey

    5. OK Computer

    4. Kid A

    3. In Rainbows

    2. Hail to the Thief

    1. Amnesiac

Call me crazy, I just really don't like The Bends.

  • real good track. definitely a huge warp records influence on this one.

  • i like more this song than "Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses"

  • The difference between Thom and radiohead is obvious. You can hear thoms Ideas in Radiohead, But with Radiohead you have 5 great minds all working as one. Thom uses electronics to give him rhythms and loops and there is only so much you can do with. Its all about what the song requires. All Radiohead and Thom Yorke music is great but for a variety of reasons. They've proved they can do it all now. Lets just sit back and enjoy it. Long may they continue. They are the big dogs.

  • seriously though, who fucking cares. just listen to said beat type.

  • only just got around to listening to this - very good, thom's know-how on elctronic textures just keeps improving..

has anyone got anything to say about the track or just continue to indulge in mindless teenage squabbles about who is better out of muse and radiohead?...seriously it's like listening to 7year olds talk about who she likes better out of kylie and britney

  • its like a mellow aphex twin with lyrics. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • amazing

  • radioheads new style they are developing should be called ice, like in 15 step too

  • new style? youve obviously never really listen to thoms work, or radiohead for that matter

  • im talking about the more current use of scattered filter snaps in contrast with colorful harmonics and a sub bass

  • big fan of the high-hat in this song.

  • I'm sure that wasn't me in the video, think I would have remembered. What were you doing looking at stuff like that anyway? Is that how you ended up here? searching for "pulled apart by horses'? Seek help!

Having a great day thanks, listening to some good tunes, and leaving the ones that I don't like for the people who do.

  • So I take it you know what "the high pitched squeeling that a queer would make if he was getting butt fucked by a huge horses cock" sounds like. How I wonder? Were you the one doing the squeeling? Maybe you were just sat back taking the photos.

  • well said

  • Comment removed

  • Dirty ignorant fucking racist AND homophobe. You deserve to be slaughtered you ugly pig.

  • I'm quite sure that Thom Yorke wouldn't be too bothered that at a racist homophobe like you doesn't get his music. Why don't you fuck off back under the rock where you and your dwindling band of sympathizers came from and have a wank over the NRA newsletter, or whatever it is that you like do rather that post opinions where they clearly would not be wanted.

  • is that good music anymore?

  • just feel the fucking music and shut up!

  • Happy Birthday Thom :D

  • this is not dubstep

  • that's not sarcasm.

  • if you dont like techno experimentals,

then this isnt for you. dont be mad that radiohead and tchock have done it, you dont have to listen. anyone who appreciates progressive music... for you, this new ep is the shit right here! : )

  • This isn't techno. You are stupid.

  • well... true.

    I suppose I mean electronic.

its somewhat of a blurry line, but i think i know what i'm talking about at least X3

  • i hate when people try to pick his shit apart and think to hard about it just feel it

  • im pretty sure ok computer came out in the 1990s. music changes. what do you want ok computer ver 2.0? would that make you happy?

    no. david bowie.

  • i need help. i search new songs like this. i dont heard it before so i have to be new songs.

is it new songs? thom yorke solo? please say did he do something more?

please send me messagge if you know something!

  • Thom Yorke released this song and a song called "Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses" on September 21. They'll be released for download October 6.

  • omg this sounds so bloody amazing... Damn everybody, forget the damn pointless debates... I havent seen hardly any comments which just express how genius this song is.. It's okay to have an opinion, not against that, but someone needs to celebrate the awesomeness of this music...

  • oh dont worry im celebrating this right now bro

and i agree with you man this is genius

    yorke is an alien

  • Both Muse and Radiohead are good. And this debate about he two bands is stupid and pointless. They aren't really all that similar. They are both good in their own ways.

  • Oh, the Radiohead and Muse debate...a debate as old as time itself

Oh, and 'The Hollow Earth', how to describe it, ummm, uhh, nifty??

  • Fuck muse. plagarizing bastiges. But yeah dude convienient it is.

  • I wouldn't say that muse copy radiohead as such...well, a tiny bit...but i like both bands...i have to say that matt bellamy always seems to me like thom yorke's little brother :)

  • why the hell must I always have to see something about muse on radiohead? im sick of muse fans bringing muse into everything radiohead get lost stop trying to compare them they are completely differen't NO THEY ARE NOT AS TALENTED AS RADIOHEAD THIS IS NOT OPINION IT IS A FACT.

  • i thought muse only ever released one song. then i realised that it was one song with many different titles! :) hehehe

  • Radiohead does the same thing... Everything in its right place, same progression as Pyramid Song... Studio version of Like Spinning Plates? well... Pluck the keys when playing Pyramid Song on the Piano and you will figure it out. Yeah yeah I know bout I will being in reverse, the returning commercial of "The most gigantic lying mouth of all time" with the piano tune, its the piano version of "Like Spinning Plates" with all the keys mashed at once instead. Thom Yorke is my role model though.

  • And I am not trying to be a smartass or anything. Thom Yorke and his crew are talented folks, but about 80 percent of their songs, as my musical instructor when I had one once told me, are all simple, basic chords, and many times they reuse the same patterns but progress the notes differently. But hey if you ask me, theres a big fucking difference in "Everything in its Right Place" and "Pyramid Song"... but in reality they both use a 3 chord progression over an over agian, still epicness tho.

  • B4 I contradict myself by a 3 chord progression I meant that there are 3 chords used the most in each song that progress the same in each one, then go to other chords. I think I may try to learn some of the piano songs on "In Rainbows" so I can see if there is a similarity... Like how the song "There There"'s Outero, is the exact same thing as the whole song, "Go Slowly." Listen to the ending guitar and "We are accidents waiting and waiting to happen" then listen to Go Slowly. Still epic music

  • The piano version of "Like Spinning Plates" and "Videotape" use a lot of the same chords.

  • I get that radioheads music isn't very technically complicated in terms of composing and structure and the chance of any rock band making complicated music in that sense is very small

but radiohead are not great because of that, they are great because of their style, no one else has sounded like OK computer (not 100% anyway) and Kid A was a great experimental record

not to mention jonny writing symphonies and his own computer programmes for electronic music

  • I don't care much for arguments.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is mine:

As a Radiohead fan, I appreciate Yorke's side projects although they aren't my favorite.

I think it's a neat song. It reminds me of the 2001 album Amnesiac, although it is my least favorite Radiohead record.

  • I enjoy both Radiohead and Muse, but I find Radiohead's overall progression over time to have been far more interesting than Muse. idk myabe its just me, but Muse can sound a bit too mainstream sometimes. And Creep sucks.

  • To add to the debate about Muse and Radiohead, they both have sited the album "Six" by Mansun as an influence on their ventures into the concept/ prog format for their albums since 1998. You should check them out its good stuff.

  • no se enojen, disfrutemos todos a thom...

  • oof!

a new thom yorke song is always cause for happiness

as is a new muse song

so everybody shut up and daaaance~~~~

  • Yorke primarily recorded this for "The Eraser" (his only solo album) but evidently never made the cut nor was publically released as a B-Side. I'd say this track is superior to some of those "Eraser" B-Sides.

  • What? You just said "creep is pretty nice"in your last comment. 2 years from now I'm going to think the same thing. And guess what? I'm not a "stupid precious rh fan". I go on record saying Thom Yorke is a dick, and I dont know what direction he is going lately. Matt Bellamy is also an extremely pushy atheist prick who thinks he's the shit. I am a fan of music, not a drone fan like you. God you are retarded. Stick to German if you can't articulate in English.

  • Radiohead was around before Muse....retard. Notice how every Muse song conveniently has similar sounds to radiohead albums that came before it. Not that its bad to be influenced by artists though, but make you look like a retard saying they suck. What, don't feel confident that Muse is good enough that you can say another band is good in their own right too? Spineless.

  • They weren't around before Radiohead, why don't you just look up simple facts. "Gorgantious " isn't a word. Glad you are creating the stereotype of all Muse fans are retards. I bet Matt never says "fuck radiohead" because he is respectful. If Muse makes an album as good / influential OK Computer ( Not just some cliche shit where they sing about the same things)then you can talk, loser. Guess who Muse say's influenced them? Radiohead. : ). Learn to appreciate music and stop being a mindless drone.

  • hahahahahhahahah

  • bahahaha, even radiohead doesn't like creep.

sheeple. 10 bucks says you don't know muse.

  • Yeah Radiohead dosent like creep because it is an over used song and people did not understand its meaning, and people mistook it for a love song. Eventually Radiohead just stopped performing it at their concerts alltogether.

  • They actually played it a lot this last tour, after more then 10 years break..

  • Just great. Really amazing...as always.

  • Why are people comparing this song to OK Computer and Radiohead, when it has nothing to do with either?

Thom Yorke is truly talented and should be credited himself for this fantastic piece of music he penned.

  • The Dude making OK Computer comments is just being cynical. For years critics always compare Radiohead releases to OK Computer or the song Creep. It is because most popular music critics flat out do not understand the Genius of Radiohead and Thom Yorke. The dude posting is probably a Radiohead fan----making fun of people who only criticize Radiohead with every release

  • This is a tough call but I almost prefer this song to feelingpulledapartby horses. Both are freaking excellent though. These two songs and "Twisted Words" have produced a breath of fresh air in the stale music scene of 2009. I'm totally fine with Radiohead/Thom releasing one or two songs at a time.

  • Stanley Donwood did the art as always amazing songs that thom put out with the help of johnny

  • it's not as catchy as Creep

  • Creep was 16 years ago. Radiohead (and Thom Yorke) have evolved during those years. They got interested in electronic music and so it went.

  • It's not as good as OK Computer.

  • think hes trying to make a point... if you extrapolate thoms music.. its getting worse. i love him.. i will always listen to his msic. but ya know... hes got a point
