My personal opinion on the best drummers of the world. Personal or not, however, every single person on this list destroys both Jordinson and Ulrich. The first three -Haake,Agren,Rich- can actually polyrhythmically bang their girlfriends while Ulrich heel-toes his mother.

I disagree with the first two drummers. Buddy RIch, Thomas Lang, Max Roach, Dylan Elise, Mel Brown, Kieth Moon....now those are dummers. Although Jacob Armen is good but the other two are garbage in my opinion.

Joey Jordison is a good drummer, but the kind of hand-foot combinations he does arent as 'difficult' as they sound, the challenge is to keep it in time and suit the music.
Joey Jordison? No where near in the top 20. He's a good drummer, yeah, but as a Black Metal drummer (as he considers himself) he's pretty average. I think Thomas Lang definitely deserves to be here.
There is a point where drummers are all so good, they're on the same level, with their own unique styles. Unfortunately, a lot of Metal drummers don't tend to even make it to that level.
Joey Jordison's solo is a poorly constructed mountain of slop that I can and have crapped out on many occasions, when I was in middle school. It's barely even fast, which never saves any solo in my opinion anyways. This is just a perfect example of failure.
Pretty much all of these guys are bad drummers, except Ulrich, who's good mainly for influence, he's also not particularly skilled or original. You seem to think bass pedaling is hard, you should probably go learn to play drums, and try learning poly rhythms and fast rudiments. That being said, Jacob Armen is the exception to all this, however nothing he does is difficult, it's impressive at that age, however many famous drummers were playing at that level at that age, look at Tony Williams.
Joey Jordison is actually a really, really mediocre drummer, if not bad. If people knew anything about drums, they'd know that solo is not impressive at all. So he can move his feet fast? So can almost everyone who's a good drummer, his hands were all basic rolls, nothing more, didn't even hear many rudiments if none at all, that was one of the worst, most uninspiring, boring solos ever. You want to see a good solo? Look up Thomas Lang. PS Bohnam did way better

Drumming isn't as easy as it looks, u have to learn lots of beats and right speeds and u can't mess up in a concert cause u have the beat and u have to control ur volume so other band members can be heard...

I disagree with the first two drummers. Buddy RIch, Thomas Lang, Max Roach, Dylan Elise, Mel Brown, Kieth Moon....now those are dummers. Although Jacob Armen is good but the other two are garbage in my opinion.

i hate how people think joey jordinson is such a amazing drummer. all because he can kick drum real fast doesnt make him a amazing drummer, i mean come on there are loads of other metal drummer who can kick that fast with a single bass drum.

@lol909ism he's not using a single bass drum. He's using double bass drums in which many drummers use to "sound fast" but all they are doing is using two feet instead of one. The real challenge is using one foot at the same speed as using a double bass pedal or double bass drum. Then agian I agree with you joey jordinson is overhyped a little bit.

Wow, you have no idea about drumming if you think Joey, Travis and Lars are even in the top 50, let alone top 10. Look for drummers like Gavin Harrison,Blake Richardson, Danny Carey, Tony Royster Jr., Carter Beauford...fuck, almost anyone. I'd say Travis is the best of those 3 but he's got nothing on most drummers I could name.

well first of all .george kollias will ass rape any other drummer when it comes down to sheer speed.danny carey is a perfect blend of analog and digital percussion.neil peart is legendary because of his enduranance and mind blowing drum solos.carter beauford is so amazing with both hands..chris adler puts together some awesome double bass patterns....really there is no greatest drummer.but if i had to vote i would give the edge to neil peart.

I have never seen more fluency, variety, feel, conviction, roundedness than in Dave Weckl's playing
Theres more to musicianship than speed and power. Listen to how silly the sea of attack in this solo sounds! click click click. Its actually funny after 2 gazzillion times. Joey Jordison is a good drummer, but the kind of hand-foot combinations he does arent as 'difficult' as they sound, the challenge is to keep it in time and suit the music.

Joey Jordison? No where near in the top 20. He's a good drummer, yeah, but as a Black Metal drummer (as he considers himself) he's pretty average. I think Thomas Lang definitely deserves to be here.

There is a point where drummers are all so good, they're on the same level, with their own unique styles. Unfortunately, a lot of Metal drummers don't tend to even make it to that level.

Joey Jordison's solo is a poorly constructed mountain of slop that I can and have crapped out on many occasions, when I was in middle school. It's barely even fast, which never saves any solo in my opinion anyways. This is just a perfect example of failure.

Pretty much all of these guys are bad drummers, except Ulrich, who's good mainly for influence, he's also not particularly skilled or original. You seem to think bass pedaling is hard, you should probably go learn to play drums, and try learning poly rhythms and fast rudiments. That being said, Jacob Armen is the exception to all this, however nothing he does is difficult, it's impressive at that age, however many famous drummers were playing at that level at that age, look at Tony Williams.

Joey Jordison is actually a really, really mediocre drummer, if not bad. If people knew anything about drums, they'd know that solo is not impressive at all. So he can move his feet fast? So can almost everyone who's a good drummer, his hands were all basic rolls, nothing more, didn't even hear many rudiments if none at all, that was one of the worst, most uninspiring, boring solos ever. You want to see a good solo? Look up Thomas Lang. PS Bohnam did way better

I love how @ 6 minutes into the video Lars feels as though his meager drum solo from the song One is worthy of playing during a live drum solo. @skylinegtr96 Yep...the double bass thing gets old--refering to Joey. Also...Tommy Lee did the upside down thing WAY before this....the douches in the crowd just dont know that. People who cant play drums think its awesome. Check out Mike Johnston here on youtube. He is quicker with one bass drum than any of these guys with two. Just type in Mike Johnston double bass with one foot. You'll be amazed;-) Lars is annoying too!!!!!

And i couldnt actually choose among such good drummers. i mean, almost all the guys from the 15th and after are somehow equals :P drummers like Richardson and Grossman are excellent indeed but had to pick up people from many different genres and musical styles. If i could, i would make a list of the best 100 drummers but i cant : /

As for Chambers, he just copies Rich. Nothing more nothing less. But calling Rich, Pich, is enough of a reason to call you ignorant.

Im not letting anyone to tell me otherwise about something that i observe the last 5 years i watch Chambers playing both live and on cds like parlament and his personal cd "Dennis Chambers". When he had a performance with Santana, he was like a black copy of Rich. Same technique, same style.
