You might be a good, honorable person... but Gore is NOT. Do some research into why he is very involved in this. The senate saw RIGHT through him. Most people with half a brain can and do. People are beginning to wake up about the global warming hoax (similar to the global cooling hoax in the 80's). Had something like this have been passed then we would not have an economy right now.

In the 1970s, some scientists thought there was evidence for global cooling, but the hypothesis did not survive scrutiny bu other scientists. Also, this was an error, not a "hoax" as hoax requires a deliberate intent to deceive.

In contrast, AGW has withstood 15+ years of testing and scrutiny. It is accepted as fact by the vast majority of suitably qualified scientists and by most people in most countries -- except the U.S.

James Hansen warned the Congress about global warming in 1988 — which was a long time before Al Gore got involved.

Furthermore, the theory of greenhouse warming was first postulated in the 19th century. It is now an undisputed scientific FACT. Without the CO2 greenhouse effect, we know that the Earth would be a frozen ball of ice.

I think I might install climate control and set it at a temp adequate for me but not politicians.

I'm also totally for reducing pollution (I think pretty much everyone with any morals is) and utilizing greener technology but this whole carbon tax scam is nothing more than pure theivery. Just another way for Gore and his elitist buddies to steal more hard earned cash from the masses.

Here in Sacramento Ca. (semi-desert land) we've had highs in the 80s (only a few days have been in the 90s). The weird thing is that we're supposed to have 100s for normal summer temperatures. Just go look up this weeks forecast for Sacramento (80s all week! What's up with that?).
