They're a strange lot that german audience. They just sit there with no go in them at all. At least the audience further back was a bit more energetic. Why were they so far back anyway? They could have hardly seen her.
I have my own video (on my channel) featuring Toyah, she was a guest on "the one show", In the Video she credits Marc Bolan with being her inspiration, I didn't know that before - I'd been a massive T.REX fan (still am) but I did love Toyah - and I wrote to her - she never wrote back - years later as a Married man - I was in HTV (ITV West) & I found myself standing right behind her - she was with friends when she turned to go we looked each other full in the eyes - I was too shy to say anything.
The irony is that she would never dream of looking like that nowadays ..in fact she probably hates every word in that song ..and cringes when she realises what a lot of garbage it was ...
