How anyone could "dislike" this song/ video is beyond me. I understand that some do not view this as religious, but the reality is that this movie was based off of the historical story in the book of Exodus, in the Bible written by Moses. Dreamworks did an amazing job with their interpretation. I especially love this song. It shows that though bad things happen, there is still good in this world. I remember how I used to know the singing in Hebrew by heart, It makes the story even more real.

when i think of the life of Moses I think of my calling to ministry. Moses murdered one of his own in Egypt and was called to lead God's people out of Egypt. God uses the most unsuspecting people for his will to be accomplished. God is so incredible.

when i was in the 7th grade, my school choir sang this for a concert. we split some of the versus and the very last chorus into solos. and i got the VERY last chorus. it was the most empowering feeling, having that suspenseful quiet and hearing the sound of the voice.... i couldnt believe it was really me singing it... but i will never forget it because we got a standing ovation.... MUSIC CAN BE THE MOST POWERFUL THING.

I am not going to lie, I am an atheist. I only just begun to be yet I absolutely ADORE this song and this movie. This movie is honestly part of the reason I still accept God and feel very open to religion when I watch this movie or listen to the soundtrack. It is a beautiful masterpiece with a great adapted religious story and beautiful animation, music, and themes. It actually makes me want to believe in God and accept religion again :) I love this movie <3
