If I were to dig out a room 20x20x8 with roughly 5ft of earth above it would 2by4's and plywood be enough to support the inside safely?

yes, it was quite nice. This was only the ventilation tunnel portion. On the main tube (which is almost finished..) the glass fiber elements were working even better than here in keeping the static of the tunnel face.

the tunnel is in its first stages of excavation. you can see a system of steel pipes in the upper part of the video and some Glass fiber bars which are anchoring the ground. Here Ground is in brown color, in the middle of the video, and the excavating machine is doing the first steps to create the tunnel. Ask some more details if you should need !!

Now I am in a tunnel excavation with a Cat-312 with a hammer F-19. Which is the escavation machine? What is the tunnel Name? and where it´s?, What is the section?

tunnel is in Italy, along a new Highway. Section is approx 80 sq m. I will do some research in order to write excavating machine but it 'll be not easy. Thanks for your interesting questions !!
